Pretty solid episode for me. I like the mystery elements they’re putting into place. I’d give it a B.
Liked:
– Lana Parilla continues to amaze after 6 seasons. I really hope she gets an Emmy at some point.
– I love Rumple/Gold best as the twisted imp. I also hope Robert gets his much deserved Emmy.
– I’m intrigued by Charming’s dad mystery. I appreciate they are revisiting something from two seasons ago (exactly actually – 4×02 and 6×02).Mixed:
– I really enjoyed the actor who played the Count and his story – although it ironically made me want to know more about his story so it still feels somewhat untold. That’s probably because I’m not familiar with the original story though.
– Zelena’s insecurity and temptation to embrace EQ does fit her character, but shouldn’t the fact Regina sealed her vault with blood magic show Zelena that Regina at least has some faith in her still?Disliked:
– Why are Snow and Charming randomly out and about in Storybrooke when they know someone out there is looking to kill them? Couldn’t they at least have been trying to hide?
– Emma still not telling her family what’s going on. It feels so Season 1 Emma. You would think going to Hell and back would cause some character development.
– Emma not being sure if she can trust Regina as revealed in the final scene. I really don’t want this to play out as Emma not trusting Regina and then Regina is angry and hurt and does something she regrets. We’ve already been there.[adrotate group="5"]ry4christParticipantCrazy theory time: Somehow Snow is the one who intentionally killed Charming’s father. Maybe she made another mistake as young Queen Snow. I could almost see it.
ry4christParticipantI think it would be a fun if the changeling being referenced is Rumple. Maybe for some reason Blue replaced Malcolm and his wife’s son with Rumple. This would let us meet Rumple’s mother and it seems like the kind of ironic twist the writers would like – that Blue was responsible for Changing the fate of the person who became her enemy. Maybe this is why she had a vested interest in Baelfire.
ry4christParticipantMy guesses:
1. It’s about Jafar posing as the Oracle girl.
2. Sneaky Fairy
Oooooooh, Jafar posing as the Oracle makes a lot of sense. Why else would she have a connection with Hyde. Plus, if the red bird is referencing Iago, that would be a big clue. I’m with RG, I really, really, really want Sneaky Fairy to happen.
ry4christParticipantHad a thought. What if they bring back in the scene from 4×15 – Poor Unfortunate Soul – where Regina dreams of meeting Robin in the woods and the Evil Queen appears to throw a fireball. Could that have been a vision of things to come now that’s she’s split? What do you guys think?
ry4christParticipantI would LOVE it if they brought the Seer’s prophecy from 2×14 back in. Explaining how Pan had the drawing of Henry in 2×22 would be awesome too, but I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen.
ry4christParticipantCould Adam and Eddy possibly pull a “he’s not coming back from the dead” because they’ll say he didn’t actually die, but instead the Olympian Chrystal just took him somewhere? They already kind of did that with Zelena and theyve planted the idea that Hades could have been lying. I could kind of see them having Robin become Regina’s mirror and it makes sense with the episode title, but I can’t see them having Regina’s “happy ending” be having her true love in a mirror… So if that happens I can’t see the show keeping him there.
ry4christParticipantI take this to mean that Adam and Eddy will make at least one more season if ABC allows it, but they have the ending “ready” for next spring if need be.
September 24, 2016 at 2:37 am in reply to: New Special – Once Upon a Time: Evil Reigns Once More #327584ry4christParticipantI’m watching the special right now. Within the first minute Eddy says in reference to the show and it’s fans, “And to have them watch the show so closely. They know it better than we do.” Um, I think this is a big part of some of the show’s missteps…
ry4christParticipantThomas Gasior as Musketeer #1
As in one of THE “Three Musketeers,” or just a random musketeer?
