“…Adam Horowitz says, noting that the Dark Curse predates this Author—so he wasn’t involved with how that went down.” Does this confuse anyone else?
[adrotate group="5"]ry4christParticipantOh man, I like this idea too. Although I wouldn’t want to “go back” to the original way, since it would negate nearly everything that’s happened so far. I also hope if they go this route, they tell us the author only did this a few times, otherwise we’ll wonder if the author made every character make everything big or little choice.
ry4christParticipantI think they put some one-liners and characters into the first two seasons leading up to whatever big reveal they have planned (Henry being the new Author or whatever): The Blue Fairy saying she had “final preparations” before the Dark Curse hit; The Dragon character; Lily; Peter Pan’s drawing of Henry before Henry was even born; August knowing who Neal was; August’s weird in-depth knowledge of the Author; The Heart of the Truest Believer… PERHAPS the Sorcerer already has a picture of each and every Author that has been and will ever be. Henry was predestined to be the Author one day because of his true heart – and Peter Pan stole the picture from the Sorcerer?
I would LOVE if you’re correct and they plan to answer all of these questions. I like your idea of the Sorcerer having pictures of all the authors including Henry, explaining Pan’s possession of it.
ry4christParticipantThis past episode, “Best Laid Plans,” is REALLY fueling the evil Blue Fairy theory for me. Her presence of this episode was really unnecessary, unless the writers wanted to include her in this episode specifically because it revealed the author. I could also see it being a possibility that the author forced her to do some of her shady actions.
ry4christParticipantSomeone on the Once Upon a Time wiki is speculating that since she will be at this event, perhaps we will still see Meghan Ory before Season 4 ends. Thoughts?
ry4christParticipantIn episode 412, “Darkness on the Edge of Town,” Cruella held a gun to Rumple’s head and told him that outside the town of SB, Rumple could die a mortal death. Rumple agreed. Now it’s very possible and even probable that Rumple was lying to Cruella and it does feel like a retcon from what we know about the Dark One’s curse, but let’s face it–this show ain’t exactly consistent.
I think you could definitely be right about the writers having Rumple die by season’s end, although I hope he doesn’t – we all know the show would suffer without him. But I’m confused by you saying his being able to be killed outside of Storybrooke in our world as unusual. I agree this show breaks its own rules, but haven’t they been consistent on this?
ry4christParticipantAsking Gaga to play BF could possibly mean 2 things: 1. This character isn’t that important and we won’t need the actress often, or 2. We need someone who can make the BF a monster as the story develops.
Originally wanting Lady Gaga also makes me wonder if they wanted her because her story was going to be important. Assuming they had at least planned out the whole first season in advance, she had some pretty important moments.
ry4christParticipantI’m definitely feeling the Blue Fairy’s shadiness more than ever this second half of the season. I had honestly never thought about TLK with Bae and Rumple. Good insight. Plot hole or intentional? And we’ve seen parents kiss their child, but not the other way around – maybe they’d claim it wouldn’t have worked because a child’s love for their parent isn’t as strong as a parent’s love for their child.
ry4christParticipantHer history with Hook and her father clearly makes her a victim and not a villain in any way, shape or form. The flashback ends before we ever see any villainy So what did she do that was so bad that she can be a villain and a Queen of Darkness???
Yeah, she definitely isn’t anywhere near the level of evil as most of OUAT’s villains, but I think this show has kind of caused us to let “the little evil things” slide. She did still choke Belle, assist in the kidnapping of a child, and try to kill Hook. But yes, she definitely is the lightest “Queen of Darkness” Lol.
ry4christParticipantAs a side note, on a different fanboard about 18 months ago I put forward that maybe Regina was a slow learner of dark magic because it was not her original nature…that she would have been better at light magic instead.
I like the idea that she was meant for light magic which she seems to be using now.
And I still believe someone breaks Aurora’s curse before 102 when Regina reclaims The Curse from Mal, which is still 9 months before The Curse is cast, and then is put under a stronger version–but my evidence for that is a very slender hope that they’ll connect all the dots eventually.)
I’m holding out for this with you. I really don’t think they’d make the 100 years comment if what you said isn’t the case.
