Jefferson made a curious comment while talking to David/Charming about getting Emma and Snow back. Jefferson said he was only a “portal jumper”. Could this be the reason he disappeared into the bushes after he jumped/fell from the window in “Hat Trick”?

This brings to mind an old Science fiction TV series called “Sliders” in which the main character, Quinn Mallory, invents a device that is used for people to travel from one parallel dimension to another (portal??).
There is also a subplot where he is looking for his mother and when he finds her, she tells him he is not his real mother but that he was “given” to her to raise.

    First name “Quinn”
In American, the meaning of the name Quinn is: Counsel; intelligent. (the “inventor” of the portal device?)

    Last name “Mallory”
In French, the meaning of the name Mallory is: Unfortunate; ill fated.

From recap of “Broken” from ABC:
“Entering his apartment, a sudden thunderstorm kicks up, and our stranger realizes, exasperated, that he left a window open, and wind and rain now pelt his desk. He rushes over to close the window, but it’s stuck. He tries to force it, but in his fumbled efforts drops his phone down the fire escape. Not his day. He slumps onto his desk, this is too much.Entering his apartment, a sudden thunderstorm kicks up, and our stranger realizes, exasperated, that he left a window open, and wind and rain now pelt his desk. He rushes over to close the window, but it’s stuck. He tries to force it, but in his fumbled efforts drops his phone down the fire escape. Not his day. He slumps onto his desk, this is too much. (Unfortunate???) Just then… a pigeon lands in front of him on the window sill. Tied to its foot is a piece of cardboard. After the bird flies away the man picks up the cardboard and looks at it. Written in thick black ink, it carries a simple message: ā€œBROKENā€. The man turns the message over and we see it’s actually a postcard, and the picture on the front is of a clock tower, and in excitable typeface, ā€œGreetings from Storybrooke, Maine!ā€ “

Note that we never saw his face.

Could he be the “new” character named “Quinn”?

Could Jefferson be the one who sent the mysterious man the postcard since it’s possible he can portal jump in and out of Storybrook due to the mysterious man’s portal device creation? (intelligent?? )

    Is this Bae?

Could Bae have created the device to look for his father thinking it could be used as a portal into Fairytale land, and found out it couldn’t go there because, as Reginia said, Fairytale land no longer exists since the curse was activated?

Could Bae and Jefferson been in touch all along?

I have a feeling that Cora showing up in the dungeon is a way to get Cora to Storybrook along with Snow and Emma.

If Cora shows up in Storybrook, then there will be a duel to end all duels between Mother and Daughter since they blame each other for ruining their lives. Since Rumple had a major part in the development of their magical powers, he will have his hands full.

Since Regina is starting to feel some remorse, her humanity will grow, although she still has her “Evil Queen” side. No doubt she will work against anything Cora tries to do, but will Reginia start to help townsfolk due to her emerging humanity or to counter anything Cora – or even Gold for that matter, does?

If Storybrook residents thought they had problems before……

I think that was them showing that Emma was effecting things. And i think Emma should have magic, so maybe because she was angry it caused that to happen physically. There are a lot of things that Emma does that cause things to happen. Like putting on the badge makes the caves fall in. Emma taking the key from Granny makes the clock move. Emma saying her name in front of Rumpel lets him get his memory back. And i think that even Emma blowing out the candle on her birthday makes Henry be there.

This reminds me of Harry Potter – he “made things happen” without knowing he did it. Then he found out he was a wizard and learned to control it, eventually becoming the hero that saves the world from evil (Voldemort).

I definately believe Regina deeply loves Henry.

She wanted to be loved which is why she had Mr Gold find a baby so she could adopt him believing he would love her back. She also named him after her beloved father.

But he doesn’t return her love and that is the price she is paying for the curse. As Maleficent said to Reginia, “Enacting it will take a terrible toll. It will leave an emptiness inside you. A void you will never be able to fill.”

The void is love not returned.

I love the idea that Bae may be Henry’s father. What is intersting is that Emma appears to have been in jail because of her “married lover” who is the father of Henry. If it is Bae, how did he end up in Phoenix? Could Bae have become less moral after his father’s betrayal? What an interesting development if it turns out that Henry is Mr Golds grandson thru Bae & Emma. It could account for Mr Gold’s “fondness” for Emma and Henry. Rumple/Mr Gold seems to know what is going to happen in the future to a degree though he might not know where Bae ended up.

I also have to believe that the stranger is Pinocchio. He has said more than once he “cannot tell a lie”.

When Emma finally got him to tell his name, he said August W. Booth. After she prodded, he then told her his middle name (which we will probably never hear mentioned again).

His middle name has two possibilities because they both sound the same. If his name is Wayne, it could be a reference to Bruce Wayne’s adversary the Riddler AKA Edward “E.” Nigma (enigma) … however, if his middle name is Wain, then it could relate to the Old English word “wegan” (to move) and then M-W refers this to the word “Way” which has several possibilities – “an opening for passage”, “method of accomplishing”, “direction”, etc.

His middle name could be both Wayne and Wain.

I suspect that August was the 7 year old boy who “found” Emma (Emma looking at old newspaper clippings that said a 7 year old boy found her) His father probably sent him out of fairyland before the curse. Pinocchio looked to be about 7 years old at the time of the pending curse.
Was Pinocchio made out of the same magic tree that the cabinet was made out of? Did the blue fairy help somehow? Did Geppetto put him in the same tree cabinet after Emma but before the curse finally took hold. (hence Booth?)
