SapphireParticipant
I swear, him and Zelena would’ve been amazing together. I mean, you are given the ultimate power of recording the lives of many and you take it out on two people because you’re bitter?! I mean, seriously?!
My thoughts EXACTLY. Forget Cruella, Isaac’s TL should seriously be Zelena. Corbin, you’ve identified the hottest new ship for Season 5.

SapphireParticipantI think that Rumple is now just a mortal man again. He’ll most likely be revived… TLK, perhaps?
Do I think he’s redeemed himself? Absolutely not. Rumple should have to work to earn it. Admittedly, I need to rewatch the scene with his new glowy-white heart to hear what the Apprentice said about it. What I would prefer is that this new heart be more of a blank slate rather than automatically making Rumple good in temperament. Behavior patterns & habits don’t disappear overnight (although who am I kidding, this is OUAT), so my thinking is that Rumple will struggle with making different choices in the next season. He’s also going to have to adjust to ‘normal’ life without magic.
I could see Rumple being brought in as a ‘consultant’ to the Charmings & Hook about how to deal with / support Emma. Can you become the Dark One again after having already been so? I could see how that would be incredibly tempting for Rumple to try to regain his power after having enough of a life without magic.

SapphireParticipantKillian: ???????
Has two hands.
Hahahaha!!!
Maybe Henry will be like Marty McFly, this time around, and he has to fix the timeline before he fades away, because Emma and Neal never met.
This makes a ton of sense to me.

SapphireParticipantHere’s my final question of the night for this thread: Why didn’t the Apprentice go to Emma as well?
I also was wondering about this. Lily is told pretty much everything but the location of Storybrooke, which in itself is odd. Meanwhile Emma is left to hopefully one day figure out who she is and stumble across the town in Maine where her parents have been all these years? Hm. Yeah, telling Emma may have changed the entire story, or at least a few good sized parts of it. Still, seems a bit muddled.

SapphireParticipantCould Emma and Lily be destined to be Savior and Anti-Savior?
Does that mean Emma was fated to be the Savior, no matter what…?
If so – especially if they were destined to be the Savior / Anti-Savior before they were even born – that makes the Charmings’ actions with Mal & baby Lily all the more horrible. They didn’t need to send Emma’s potential for darkness into Lily, because Emma was going to become the Savior anyways. (Besides the fact that they should’ve NEVER considered doing so in the first place.) It would be somewhat of a parallel to Emma not needing to actually kill Cruella because it was already determined that C. couldn’t take the life of another. (Side note, I 101% understand the argument that Emma was doing what she believed she needed to do in order to keep Henry safe.)

SapphireParticipantI’m leaning towards it being the ending, or the ending of it for now. As much as I like Rumbelle, I am so happy that Belle did NOT go after him. I just really, really like that she recognized she deserves so much better. Her face expressed the emotional pain & heartbreak at the ruin of her marriage to the man (that I believe) she loves more than any other. Even though she is now with Will, a love for someone like that doesn’t disappear overnight. I like that the acting / writing acknowledged that it wouldn’t be easy for Belle. Belle gave herself wholeheartedly to a man who, although he loved her, seriously manipulated their relationship and her. Rumple did so wrong by his wife. For a character that is truly underutilized by the writers, I’m glad that they had her stand up for her well-being at this point in time. Do I think it’s possible that A&E will bring them back together? Certainly. As of right now though, I am leaning towards the ending of Rumbelle.
As far as Belle + Will… I like them as a pairing in theory. I think the characters suit each other, but the timing is off. Because we weren’t given really any backstory about how they got together, (and oh, Idk, ANASTASIA) I perceive it as rushed and awkward. To me, the relationship comes across as a rebound for Belle. All of this makes it hard for me to take them seriously as a couple, which stinks because I think they go well together.

SapphireParticipantI believe how we deal with our adversities determines our strength of character. Lily had to go through her’s, just as Emma had to go through her own.
I agree. But did it make Lily a stronger character? Because even though the Apprentice told her that everything would be harder for her and she has a lot to learn, she still wants to go to SB and kill Snow and Charming. So did The Apprentice (gosh, can we get a name for him already so I can stop typing The Apprentice) get to her too late? Is he now to blame for not interceding sooner?
Dear lord yes please, give this guy a name!
Is it possible that he actually made it worse by even intervening at all? She’s been planning her revenge for some time now, or at the very least has been very fixated on it for years. I understand that John Doe the Apprentice wanted to remedy the situation somehow. I just wonder if telling her then about Snow & Charming did more harm than good.
Random man appears on a bus & tells you your origin story at a time in your life when you’re extremely vulnerable. (Which, if I were Lily, I would be SUPER creeped out by that whole bus scenario.) Random man knows that he sent the potential darkness into your soul. Lily definitely has the right to know what happened to her. Just… idk, did John Doe the Apprentice think this through? If he had never intervened, or had waited for a time in her life when things were more stable… maybe she wouldn’t be so obsessed with revenge. Gahh I’m feeling so conflicted and confused after this episode. I don’t know what to think anymore with this show.

SapphireParticipantI half expected to see a Rumple/Belle rumble
Rumple/Belle rumble… Rumple/Belle… Rumbelle… rumble… lol. I see what you did there.
LET’S GET READY TO RUMBELLLLLLLLLLLLE!!!

SapphireParticipantYeah I was really hoping we’d see how the spell effected Belle but it seems she slept right through it?
My headcanon is that Rumple slipped her something to knock her out because he didn’t want her having conscious negative thoughts about him while the curse was happening.
Agreed. It makes sense to me that Rumple would have Belle knocked out so that he could 1.) Keep an eye on her / keep her safe, 2.) Avoid any confrontation with her caused by the spell, and 3.) Work on his scheme without his better half interfering or discovering what he’s up to.
Personally, I think it was a wasted opportunity to explore some of Belle’s feelings about their relationship (throwback to when she discovered the DQ’s mirror). This was the conflict I was looking forward to most in this episode, and I’m disappointed it wasn’t there. Hopefully the writers are just keeping it for 4B, which means it’s coming relatively soon.
