Questions for 2×8 “Into the Deep” –

2×8 – Gold has a complicated relationship with Granny. Could he be the “powerful wizard” who gave Granny the cloak for Red? Or why is their relationship complicated?

2×8 – How did Rumple know where the rare squid ink was & how to get? Is the ink from another world? Possible Answer: According to 3×4, The squid ink comes from a giant squid (poor Leggy) that can be found in at least NL. Neal knew how to summon the squid but Rumple didn’t, odd.

2×8 – Using the quill in 1×4 wasn’t what trapped Rumple, it was the ink. But it was said in 1×4 that the Blue Fairy put a spell on the quill. How did the ink get into that quill? Did Rumple pose as the BF since he could see the outcome of him changing Ella’s contract?

2×4 – Who is Belle’s mom & where is she?

2×4 – Will Hook ever find out that Rumple still has his hand? Will he want it back?

Update:

Who is Belle’s mom & where is she? Answer: According to 4×6, Belle’s mom’s name was Colette. She died during an ogre attack while she & Belle were in their library shortly before the events in 1×12 “Skin Deep”. Belle got her love for books from her mom.

Will Hook ever find out that Rumple still has his hand? Will he want it back? Answer: Yes & Yes. According to 4×4, Hook blackmails Rumple for his hand back so he could embrace Emma with both hands if he gets the chance. Rumple warns him that there may be consequences & Hook didn’t believe him. (Magic always has a price). Rumple had placed Hook’s hand in a jar like a specimen (It was last seen in his shop on a shelf in the back room in 2×12). Hook got his hand back, went on a date with Emma, thinks that his hand is cursed (it could have been) and demands Rumple to take it back. Rumple took it back but now Hook in debt to him. Doubt he’ll ever want it back again.

I thought granny was too old to turn Wolf anymore. I thought the only thing she has remaining of her wolf-ness was the sense of smell.

Gus Gus was a talking mouse in Disney’s animated version of Cinderella. Granny also still has her strong sense of hearing if I remember correctly. I would love to see more of her background story.

What if when Emma and Hook travelled back in time they changed something that enabled the Snow Queen to get to Storybrooke?

Maybe not only the Snow Queen but maybe someone else whose coming back in S4B. :). Maybe the owner of the black fairy wand ended up in the Sorcerers hat as a place to exiled to.

I had remember that John & Michael’s car had a MN license plate. At some point the boys ended up in our world and grew up a bit & learned to drive a car. Maybe Pan sent them to MN to watch Emma and they’d been following her & Henry till they ended up in SB. I wonder if Emma just picked the 1st bus out of town she could afford and just ended up in MN or if she had a reason she wanted to go to MN vs say Florida.

SQ might have ended up being Queen of her parents’ kingdom through death like Elsa become Queen of hers. Anna & Else’s mom was probably the younger sister, just a princess. Their mom married a king, making her a queen.

If the honeymoon house ends up being SQ’s, why didn’t she guarded/protect the hat better? It’s almost as if the owner wanted Rumple to find it.

That mirror is totally the mirror of Erised. we even had a Harry Potter reference earlier in the episode.

What was the HP reference, POM? I must have missed that.

I wonder if the mirror is like the hat. The more pieces that are added to more powerful it becomes. I wonder if the pieces of the mirror come from different magical items. Like maybe pieces of a looking glass that can help her travel between worlds or see into other worlds. She had known have learned about Emma somehow.

I hope this scene means that the library will open soon. Maybe in 4×6? I would love to see the SB folks flocking to the library eager to learn more about our world especially since they can’t leave SB right now. Maybe a scene where Belle is helping someone or reading a book to a group of little kids. That would be sweet. :o)
