I have some exciting news ๐ ๐
โweโre going to see hookโs backstory in season 3, see how he became a pirate captain and at such a young age.โ
โYes,โ whispers Colin OโDonoghueโs left hand, โI knew my time would come.โYes, I would say his hand will be very happy! LOL!!!
[adrotate group="5"]sarah_tnParticipantHmmmm. Another mystery! I think this might be a seed planted for future material next season. My guesses are leaning toward a grandmother.
sarah_tnParticipantI think your theory has legs. Growing up, I (and my sister) was caught between two feuding families. My parents divorced, remarried, didn’t get along, and were so focused on their own hurts, wants, desires, and selfishness, that their hearts had no room to see how the decisions they made (for themselves) would impact us…not for years later. That left me feeling like a tug-of-rope, and based on what I’m reading about your theory, I can absolutely see how Henry might feel that way.
If Henry runs off to Neverland…would that be a good decision, or a bad one? Well, I think it would be a good decision if it’s purpose is to be a wake-up call for those around him for hope of a better outcome upon a foreseen return. If it’s just to get out of dodge, I think it’d be a bad one because in the end, Henry would be the one who loses the most. His families fight, but the one thing they all have in common is that they all love him. Very sadly, there are kids (and people) in this world who don’t have that.
I do think he’ll run off to Neverland, but I don’t think the only lessons to be learned in the interim will be everyone else’s. The decisions others make do not remove consequences for the decisions we make for ourselves, and so I think Henry’s in store for a lesson about the happiness that can come with the grace of overlooking others’ faults in recognition of our own imperfections, while we appreciate the people who we have around us. That’s what bothered me so much in Manhattan, how unforgiving he was toward Emma when she’d lied to him. Every person reading this can count on two hands the wrong things we did right in our lives, and the things we’ve done wrong. Henry is a good kid, but not faultless. Nobody is. I think he was being cold and unfair to Emma, but then again, he’s just a little boy who is still learning about the full picture of what love is, and what that means for him.

2. Slow down (as others have stated)
3. Build more on Hook and Neal
4. Less hiatuses
5. I know the show needs it’s sponsors, but see what you can do about less breaks for advertising. We DVR’d the last episode and after forwarding through the commercials and watching the show, we were like: “is that it?”.
6. Listen to your fans! Listen to their ideas!
7. Writers might like to create a blind idea submission “hat” for the OUAT website on ABC. People who submit ideas would fill out personal information, and then click “agree” when prompted that ideas used will not be rewarded with monetary reimbursement (although, it would be a nice touch those who submit used ideas are noted with a “a special thank you to ____” in show credits). Those who submit ideas will fill out an electronic “index card” that writers can compile into a “hat” and pull for ideas. A lot of times, these can also help to inspire other ideas.
8. Less death
9. More light-hearted and sometimes, maybe even cheesy domestic moments. People like those. The show has been kind of depressing lately. Lighten it up!
10. Everybody should get at least 1 real chance for redemption, if even in part.sarah_tnParticipantThat’s a good question! Why no Colin thread? Oh well, here’s my first comment! ๐

They won’t kill off Hook. Eddy and Adam have strongly hinted (like at Paley) that they want to explore CaptainSwan and if we’re going to Neverland killing Hook makes ZERO SENSE.
I think what that article is talking about is that next season Hook is going to play a major role, as you would expect given that we are going to be in his realm. Not only will he figure into present day stories but he’ll also have his own flashbacks which as of yet he has not.
Honestly, stop worrying. They love Colin and they love Hook.
We do too. Thanks, and for the encouragement too! I love the idea of them making a lot of use of Hook next season. That would just thrill me to no end!
sarah_tnParticipantI know, I know, more Hook doom and gloom, blah, blah, blah….
but…
The only thing I’m really hoping for is that they don’t kill off Hook, and all Colin’s stuff next season is just flash-back material and based on what I’m reading, I fear that may be where this is heading.
Like I said, I know, I know, more Hook doom and gloom, blah, blah, blah….but I just can’t see myself being on board for that, and I mentioned it because it matters to me.
Ok, that’s all, now I’ll drop it for a while.

I failed to understand Henry’s actions in “Welcome to Storybrooke.” I understand that he’s upset about magic, about Emma’s lie, upset over Regina being evil, and upset when MM and David fail to live up to perfection. Yet, Henry has no reason to be upset with his dad or to run out on him. Baelfire gave Henry a really good option to come live in NYC where there is no magic, but Henry had to go and nearly get himself blown up.
Even if Henry went to NYC, the rest of his family would still be in SB, surrounded by magic and in danger. How is he meant to chill in NYC and get to know his dad when in the back of his mind 24/7 is the knowledge that the rest of his family is in peril and could be killing each other? He felt the need to step up and play the hero because everyone else was slacking off. Granted, his plan sucked, but he’s 11 and desperate, so I give him a pass for not having thought it through properly.

I just don’t know. We know that he knew about Neverland when he left to avoid Rumple. So, perhaps he was there when he was younger, prior to Bae ever arriving. Perhaps Felix was the original leader of the Lost Boys. When he returned as an adult Hook, things had changed with Bae now leading the boys, and the change was for the better. Thus ensued the problems between Hook and Peter Pan/Lost Boys.
I’m eagerly anticipating seeing Hook’s childhood, so would love it if Felix is YoungKillian who was a Lost Boy.
I agree. I’m extremely excited about this.

Possibly, or then there’s another possibility…..we’re all wrong! ๐
Seriously though, I do think we’re in for some serious surprises whether Hook/Killian is really Killian/Felix, or not.
