If this is where the story’s going, I’ll be dancing in my living room because I also love this theory. It’s been floated before, but hasn’t really had a lot of a foundation for it to stand on except for the items you’ve mentioned. I looked up the name Killian. It means conflict (or conflicted). It sounds to me, like Peter Pan in “Scarlet” was very conflicted. I think Killian’s name is in itself, a clue to his past, and how it got him to where it is. Interestingly, Colin’s name (Colin O’Donoghue, the man who plays Hook) means “peaceful”. Colin and Killian are in terms, opposite to one another. I think that’s just another ingenious element in how well this show is casted!
I believe Bae is a lost boy. If he is, I think he might be Slightly. I looked up the Lost Boys in wikipedia, and it said that “unlike the other Lost Boys, he remembers his life before he was ‘lost’ ” (the portal). Neal obviously rememers his father (and I’m sure he’d remember his mother). He obviously remembers his life before he, and Gold were seperated.
There’s also one other very possible, and very convenient clue. One which again, gives credit to ingenous casting. Look at these ears:

Ahh.. I see. They are sneaky like that aren’t they. However I don’t think that Neal is Peter Pan. He may have been a lost boy though. I’m almost 100% positive that Hook is Peter Pan. It makes more sense to me and it would be way more interesting than Neal being Peter – that would be boring.
I agree. I really hope that’s where the show is going. I’d love to see what they can mold from clay like that. I think possibilities from something like that would be enormous. Being that everybody’s already assumed Neal would be Peter, it’d already be a given, and honestly I think the story line would be very limited if that were the case. With Hook, if he’s Peter, everybody’s going to want to know who, how, when, where, and why all of that happened….leading to that role in his life…..then to piracy……
A story like this would be like leggo blocks. We’ll never be able to guess everything they could do with that, and it’d be a story they just keep building, buildng, and building from off of. I’m excited about that possibility.

Ok. This is how I’m picturing this now. Whale is hitting Lacy and she really doesn’t appreciate it. Lacy turns to Rumple and asks if she can borrow his cane for a moment. Slightly amused, Rumple gives it to her and watches as she lands a blow to Whale’s manly parts ( 😆 ) while Rumple cracks a smile. After she gives the cane back to Rumple he just says “That’s my girl”
Hell hath no fury like an angry woman with a cane! 😆

So what if Lacey is the one to knock him down? Whale does “like the ladies” so maybe he got too fresh. Still, I can’t see Victor Frankenstein being foolish enough to hit on Rumpel’s girl. He is now a combination character. She could also, however, hate him for her treatment in the hospital (constant drugging). He seems like the main/chief doctor there. I really hope he is not dying! But a punch–that would be ok.
Omgosh! Please let Lacy punch Whale. I wanna see that. And I love Whale, but Lacy defending herself while Rumple watches makes me all kinds of happy.
This could be a learning experience for Rumple to witness. If someone pisses you off, you don’t need to turn them into a snail and crush them, a hefty knee to the nuts will do just fine. 😛

It is true though, girls do fight meaner than boys! 😀

Probably with the cane-o-pain, but I think more broadly what I mean is: is that Rumple is going to win her back? He has to get Lacy to trust him, to believe that he is a good man and that they really mean something to each other. I understand him not liking Whale hitting on Lacy, but Lacy/Belle is a strong woman who can take care of herself (Yaougui for example) and I’m not sure how she’d react to that display of violence.

I think Emilie joked in some interview that the Beast might rub off on the Beauty, rather than the other way around. I like the idea someone had in this thread that Rumpel has to reform her for a bit. Yes would be good character development for both!
That’s giving me visions of Walt Disney’s Belle with fangs, and I’m cracking up over here!

I agree it isn’t very nice, but the calls are out there. My personal preference is that we get to keep Colin around on the show for a long, long time. Personally though, I’d rather have a Hook — any Hook — than no Hook.
As for respect: Nobody owes Colin O’Donoghue anything. Nobody owes Once Upon A Time anything. Colin O’Donoghue doesn’t owe his fans anything, except a “thank you”, and he did that at Paleyfest.
I’m just going to respond one more time, because I really think the fans have crossed a metaphorical line. It’s one thing to express your thoughts in an open forum like this to other fans, but it’s another thing eintirely for fans to behave in a rude manner to people who work as hard as the actors and producers. I believe fans do owe the actors and producers basic human decency and respect; these people work really hard to produce great television for us to enjoy. If it weren’t for them, fans wouldn’t even have this show to look forward to each week. Colin O’Donoghue couldn’t help that he broke his leg–an injury which probably even happened while filming. There is no reason to take out any anger or call for his resignation. He is now recovered and back to filming. No one, except the producers, production managers, crew and actors, knows the exact filming schedule. Just because Colin didn’t appear in a particular scene doesn’t mean he isn’t hard at work filming other scenes in a studio somewhere. It’s uncalled for a fan to whine just because he/she didn’t cross paths with him.
Also, neither Colin nor the producers are liable to the whims of the fans; some fans really love Captain Hook and others really don’t. Jane Espenson said in her most recent interview that she gets an equal number of tweets from fans threatening to stop watching the show if Hook and Emma become a couple as much as she receives tweets from fans threatening to stop watching if they don’t! The writers, producers and actors are not here to please every individual fan’s dreams; they are here to tell a great narrative. It is immature and rude to think and behave as if the world revolves around one’s own desires.
If something did happen to Colin, or anybody else on the show (no speculations here, I’m just speaking in generalities), I do hope that if they desire respect, that they will be equally respectful of the hearts they invited themselves into. If anything were to ever happen to anybody on that show (God forbid), I don’t want for the poor little girls who have so much affetion for these people to be left feeling like somebody charmed themselves into their room (their heart), ransacked it, and then told them it’s their job to clean it up.
I happen to really like Colin O’Donoghue as Captain Hook, and I really don’t like it when actors are recast. It is less believable, and I think it’s better that Captain Hook be written out of the plot completely than be recast. Yet, if the producers decided to do just that, I wouldn’t tweet my threats to stop watching. I’m not saying you did this, but there are plenty of teenage fans who do this. In aother recent interview, Jamie Dornan expressed his dismay over how rudely fans had treated Eddy and Adam after Graham’s death; some fans even made fake death-threats to Eddy and Adam. That isn’t just rude and hurtful; it’s deranged!
Eeew. That is deranged.

That’s a possibility, but unless Lana Parrilla was shooting with David Anders in an earlier scene, I think Dr. Whale was knocked down by Mr. Gold for hitting on Lacey or fell down on his own accord
I hope he fell down on his own. Do we really want Gold punching people? Even if it is for Lacy? Is that what is going to bring back Belle?? Defending her honor is fine but I’m not sure how Belle (or Lacy) would react to violence.
Punching? I can’t see him punching anybody. I’d think he would use his cain.

Let’s not go too wild on the Colin speculation. For all we know the scene he was supposed to shoot was rescheduled or delayed, or maybe he wasn’t actually supposed to be on the set at all. We don’t know the great inner workings of how this show works. I hesitate before taking anything Twitter reports seriously.
WORD!

Someone was tweeting live from on-site, and had learned he was supposed to be filming later in the day. As for respect. these people are not Gods. Let’s not treat them like they are, ok?
Treating someone with common respect doesn’t equate to treating them like a God. The people actually producing the show are the only ones who actually know all the facts about the production schedule for the show, and they’re professionals who know how to do their jobs just fine. People who aren’t in a position to know the proper facts, taking one little rumour and running to the showrunners to tell them to fire the actor is disrespectful.

We’re taking this conversation off-topic though, so let’s go back to talking about he subject at hand.
I knew the EQ was not going to be redeemed. Not for long, anyway. If Rumple remains the Dark One, he won’t either. As for the EQ next season, I get the feeling she’s going to be a whole new definition of bad that we haven’t seen yet. I knew that, when we figured out it was Cora who’d be killed in Miller’s Daughter. Regina’s going to want everybody to pay for that, and I think the action is just getting started.

Yes, I saw that. There are even a couple of people out there now asking Adam Horowitz to fire him and find somebody else to be Captain Hook.
I feel bad for the people who were hoping to see him yesterday. I’m sure Colin’s fine, but if ABC can’t depend on him, then my opinion is that they need to do whatever’s best for the show.
I’d miss Colin if he weren’t Captain Hook anymore, but it’d be better to have somebody else there as Hook, than to not have a Captain Hook at all.
