If they did all of these things, I think they could raise their ratings very quickly.

I gotta agree all these hiatuses really hurt the numbers with the casual audience, for us we wait it out and count the days but for casual viewers they end up turning away. These three episodes are seeming to be the strongest of the season it really sucks that it’s getting these crappy numbers now. After accounting for DVR and internet hopefully we’ll get something decent. And wow that Red Window show just completely bombed in its premiere ABC overall has a problem they need to fix.
This is going to sound terrible, but I’m hoping that with the bombing of some new shows like Red Widow, ABC will refocus and make the shows that are loved (like OUaT) stronger and put more energy into them.
I don’t think that’s terrible, at all. I think if someone is going to ask a network to give them money to work on a project, that in return for it, they make sure it returns performance to the investment! If I’m going to ask somebody to budget 50 grand in money, I’ll make sure that it performs beyond what one might expect out of that 50 grand.

The screams for Colin were louder than the screams for some of the core cast. They need to trot him out big time in season three, which I think they’ll be doing since we're going to Neverland
Yes, exactly! I think you’re hit the nail on the head!!! 😀
For long as they have something in their pocket they can take out to attract their viewers, and being that Hook is proven to be someone who successfully does that, I’m not ready to give up on Once Upon A Time yet. If they don’t use what they have to work with though; the items in their arsenal that are shown to perform well, then we might have some cause for concern.

It will go up once DVR and Hulu/ABC.com goes into consideration, but if we don’t go up next week….
I know the scheduling was the same as last season (I’ve heard that said) but if Manhattan couldn’t bring those numbers back. I think the problem is casual viewers who have to go long weeks without a new episode and aren’t like us, who sit on the forums and rehash everything.
I agree with this, too. Hiatuses are hurting the show!!!
sarah_tnParticipantI already know why it hit a low! No Hook!!! I don’t care if they have to stick him in a wheelchair, and just roll him out to talk to Emma! Fan reaction at Paleyfest was proof that CaptainSwan is something the fans would like to see. I know the story calls for relationships to build slowly, but I’m not sure they have that luxury. If the show’s not doing well, then they’ve got to dangle a carrot! I like Michael Raymond James, and I hope they keep Neal, but it’s pretty obvious the story the show’s telling for the moment just isn’t meeting the show’s needs!
I don’t think they’ll cancel the show next season, but if this doesn’t get any better, I don’t see how they can get ABC (or it’s investors) to clear a season 4! 😥Update, at 7:07p.m. EST, 3/4: A link to this conversation was posted on twitter for reading. sarah_tnParticipantLOL!!!! Yes, the floor is a hussy! These poor men just cannot resist it! 😆 😆
sarah_tnParticipantYes, Colin should have been asked more questions. I do agree he should have been more of a subject matter….still trying to figure out why he and Jen were on opposite sides of the stage. Maybe they thought if they were too close together, that fans might read into it, and they want for things to remain a surprise.
He shouldn’t feel too bad, though. I was thrilled at the reception he got from the audience when he was introduced, not to mention when the subject of Captain Swan was mentioned. It’s not any mystery, what fans want to see happen with Hook and Emma (not to mention, K&H). I think while he could have been talking more, Colin was definitely given a lot of attention. The fans love him! It’s obvious!

It’s not Hook since VanCity confirmed the new set is NEVERLAND!!!
Unless it’s all flash-backs (hope not) 😥

I thought it was Racy Lacey and that that was just a joke, because her dress is so short and she act a bit… ehm … racy as Lacey… a bit of a loose woman… Or Lost (had to laugh about the stir that created and Lana telling her off)
Sounds like Lacey is no angel!! 😯

Yeah, I don’t get why they made him do that, or why he couldn’t have at least used his crutch. As for Neal, I think we did get a spoiler. When Emma said she wants to know when Charming will punch Neal for sending her to jail, I get the impression that was a peek into the possibility the Charmings won’t welcome Neal (or Hook) with open arms.
They made him? He a guy… an IRISH guy… that wears eyeliner half of the show undermining his manliness.. .And there is a room full of screaming girls there for him the one time he doesn’t wear it. Taking all that in consideration, you think that guy is gonna wanna be seen with CRUTCHES? His ego won’t allow it. 😆
He tough guy, ya know
You might be right. I saw a tweet from Paleyfest saying he is still on one crutch.
As for the ego….what is it about men, and their pride? That’s another soap box for another day, although I’ll admit his tough-guy-ness is one of the things I really like about Colin’s personality! 😀
