I loved the very enthusiastic, and loud reception the topic got from the audience!!!!!
[adrotate group="5"]sarah_tnParticipantWho all watched the podcast from Paleyfest? The mentions made of Captain Swan. I’m not sure whether to make of it that we might have something to get excited about, or that Hook and Emma might be related (in which case CS can’t happen 😥 ). What impression did everybody else get from that?

Charters are getting limited screen time because the cast is so large… I tried counting the characters and then they added more. IF everyone showed up in one show it would be like watching a DISNEY PARADE … probably no plot or story just and endless parade.
I personally like the show as is … episodes that highlight different characters but advance the plot or story line. I am willing to wait for the various characters to show up when they move the story along.
I also realize that actors / actresses are brought on for limited time frames for when they add to the story. If they are just screen dressing or part of the backdrop I do not think they would find the work very fulfilling. If you are disappointed maybe you just need to be patient and your favorites will return.
BTW if you want to see HOOK… tonight ( Queen is Dead) is a good night to see him.

.Thanks. I’m still holding out hope they turn him into one of the good guys! 🙂

You and me both! I just think right now, this season, it’s not yet time for Hook totake his center stage. I think he will develop as Bae takes his place in Storybrooke. Don’t forget, Belle was hardly in season one too(and I wonder if the writers had planned the Rumbelle like this, I think the writers reacted on our love for them and that does not make the best storyline, I sometimes feel like the Rumbelle is rushed to please us viewers, a few seconds of airtime woven in to keep us happen) So please let them set the pace, tell the story and do it right. Which means they first have to handle Cora before moving on
Good point!!! 😀

I agree with everything you just said there SerDragon, and I think the reason Rumpel is getting more screentime this season is because his finding his son is elementary to solving the curse, the whole reason for the curse is him finding his son. So it is elementary to the story (for which I honestly admit I am very happy, because seeing Robert Carlyle act is an absolute joy)
And I am happy you all agree with me, but my question about what people expect from Hook was serious, because this is not the first time it was mentioned.
I don’t remember who, but somebody said in the flook threadthat they were disappointed with Hook not being the character they expected him to be and even before that people complaining that he has no depth, but I think he is living up to my expectations pretty well even exceding them (maybe because I was dead set on hating him because he wants to hurt Rumpel, and yet I kinda appreciate him nonetheless) I think Colin is doing a fine job, making someone that unlikeable as Hook likeable and charming, a sorta of Jack Sparrow on a day he is not drunk. He makes me laugh in the airtime he has got, and through his flamboyant actions makes sure OuaT does not become another high drama soap opera. He injects some much needed humor with his witty comebacks, and keeps the show lively (as well as explores his love affair with the floor) He’s outrageous, a scoundrel, but that’s the whole point. That’s why he is loveable. And his back story, for the moment, does not matter, it does not further the story. Tiny’s will, just like Cinderella’s did last season. Emma needed to make a deal with mr Gold. Storybrooke now needs those beans and his arrival needed to happen around the same time as mr Bean’s Greg Mendell. I’m sure we will get to Hook’s past eventually though.
So… why the hurry, Hook fans? And why change him? Did you just fall in love with his looks? Because to me he is just fine as he is.
Or can’t you get over the fact that you have fallen for the bad guy in the story and want to see him rehabilitated because of that? Yes, he’s a bad boy… Deal with it, bad boys are fun, especially in stories. Take it from someone that loves anti-heroes and bad boys in stories… it does not mean you are bad or that you have to find a bad boy in real life.Just that you have taste and depth 😆
I think Colin’s doing a great job too. I don’t think the complaints are about the actor, or about the character. I think the complaints are about some people who feel like the writers haven’t taken him (or his fans) seriously. I think it all comes down to how often (and for how long) he’s seen on episodes.. I agree he’s not being used enough, but that’s not the character’s fault, or the actor’s fault. I’d like to see the writers find ways to integrate him in. Would there be a purpose for it? Yes, if they can create one.

😮 Wow. So thats what the paralells are! I love it
This is just one of them. I don’t know if this is where the story is going, but if it is, then here’s one very happy “Hooker”! 😆

Hook was promoted to a regular recently this Season, so he might be contracted to stay on Once for future Seasons.
I hope so!

Checks to see his ribs. She flinches when he screams in pain. And he grabs her hand when she touches him. Awww… 😀
When the roof falls on him.
Theres another one where Emma and Hook knock out the Giant and Emma gets really worried because she thinks the giant fell on him. I can’t find a picture though so I’ll keep looking for it
When Rumple comes in, Emma keeps looking back at Hook to make sure he is hiddenWorried about Hook after he has been knocked out
Now you tell me that Emma doesn’t at least care for Hook … 😀
She cares about him. It’s visibly obvious! 😀

HOOK could still be killed off in real world/ storybrooke but be retained as a regular to film the NEVERLAND sceans…apparently Hook and NEAL / BAE know each other…. but that is a spoiler from a different episode. The writers always have tricks up there sleeves. Another thought is that once the actors get popular on this show ; they get scooped up to other shows… PILOT FILMING IS COMING SOON; powers that be might keep it quite that he has been picked up for another show til it is final… JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

NONNIEI hope that’s not what is going on. If Colin goes to another show though, I hope they’ll recast his role so we can keep Hook. 🙁 I know how people feel about recasted roles, but it’s better than the character not being there at all.
