I see a redemptive quality to their relationship too; Emma, in some way will make Hook realize revenge isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, and Hook will help Emma trust again.
Like how Gold realizing Henry is his grandson and remembering what he said to the seer about killing him, I think once Hook meets Henry and puts two and two together that not only is Henry, Gold’s grandson but Emma’s son and he likes and respects Emma, he’ll have to rethink the revenge thing.
Me likey! 😀
Hook being along for the ride in Gold’s family would make things more interesting. Still the same, I like the idea of Henry calling Gold “Grandpa” after everything he lost. If Neal and Emma don’t end up together, there are available ladies in Storybrooke, and Red needs some love in her life. I think Red and Neal would be a great match. She’s had to contend with the other side of herself (the wolf), which is in her view, a monster. Neal needs to learn to forgive his father. He’s always loved Gold, and knew before they were seperated that this father had become a monster, of sorts. I think Neal would deal very well with overlooking “the wolf” side of Red to appreciate who she really is. I think they’d be a great match, and it’d be fun from between Gold, Belle, Snow, and David (Grandmas and Grandpas), Emma and Hook (Mom and Step-Dad), and Neal and Red (Dad and Step-Mom). That could be a lot of fun for the sake of the story, and I’d love to see them (eventually) give Henry such a big family! I don’t know how many people realize this, but the whole dynamic of the story has now changed. Gold has now gone from being a lone tragic figure, to an entire family’s patriarch, whether Hook or anybody else is a part of it (yet), or not. This has plenty of room to get very, very interesting indeed!
I know about the aspect of Tamara, but somehow my instinct is telling me she won’t be sticking around. Don’t ask me why, it’s just my gut.

6. Hook for Emma! Hook for Emma!… Somehow I doubt it, I’m never that lucky
No, I think it might have something to do with Rumple and Cora, but I don’t know if that’s 15 or 16. I’ll be thrilled if it’s Hook and Emma, but I doubt it.

Thank you Daniel for stepping in.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion; it’s when people are attacked for their opinions and that it stops being cool. I hate ‘shipping wars. Seriously, why can’t we all just be one big happy OUAT family?
One of the biggest objections I’ve seen to Captain Hook, is where people have called him a bully. Some who believe that to be true may not realize that they have been bullies themselves, and have mirrored that same behavior with what they’ve said about the character, and his fans. The key here, is people respecting eachother, and having a good time discussing everyone’s favorite part about the show. For many of us, that is Captain Hook. His story has struck a chord with several people, has proven to have a sustaining impact, and is sticking around. As I said before, Hook (and by result, Colin O’Donoghue) has lots of fans, and that’s not going to change. Gold has lots of fans as well, and nobody is asking them to change that. Let’s just all get along. Okay?

I just wanna know what makes people ship CaptainSwan. Not insulting the shippers at all. Just curious to know what it is people like about them together. Then maybe I’ll start shipping them too!
That’s ok Jacob, I think it’s a good question. The reason I ship Captain Swan is because what’s there leaves doors open for more; not for what’s there now, but for the potential that I (and others) have seen is possible. I hope for a good story to be told about the aspects of grace, forgiveness, and redemption; and not just from Hook, but from Gold as well. I know it can’t all happen overnight, but I’d like to see a relationship blossom from between Emma and Hook so the audience can see that there is another side to a character who they thought they knew everything about.
Nobody in this world is perfect. We have all done something wrong in our lives. That being the case, we all have an equal potential for good and evil. I hope the story tells about how some of the best things can be come from the very people we’d never expect it from; that there is hope for good to redeem evil and not just for Hook, but everyone!
See if the story is only going to be about the good guys being the good guys, and the bad guys being the bad guys, then the story will not have achieved anything, and will just land flatly without any deeper gain, hope, or meaning from beyond itself. As people, we are all very quick to place others into categories. It’s just human nature. We have good guys, we have bad guys, etc. What I am hoping for, is that the story will tell that there is potential for good, even from the bad guys; that they don’t have to be labeled and condemned; that there is hope for them if they are given the right love, attention, and help that they need to help them do an “about-face” and live in another direction.
So, I guess it all sums up to potential. I’d like to eventually see Gold and Hook forgive eachother. I know if that happens, it’ll be a long, long time (and it may even be childish for me to hope for this), but someday when the series (or storyline) wraps up, I’d like to see this have a happy ending for everybody.
As far as Hook’s relationship with Emma goes, I think the potential is somewhere in the good redeeming the bad. That’s what I’m hoping for and while I can’t speak for everyone, for me, that’s what it’s all about.

What I am surprise is no magic to did a hole 😆 Also, Regina doesn’t look very thrill about doing the digging. 😀
My question is, once Cora’s gotten what she wants, how fast will the “loving Mommy” routine go out the window? I think she’ll betray Regina soon as she has the chance. She’ll want to be the lady sitting at the top of the town’s power tower.
sarah_tnParticipantI think Hookmay have a price on his head. Makes me wonder if maybe he is the one who dies in 16! Cora's not going to let this betrayal go unanswered!

Awwwwwww.. That’s so sweeeeet! 😀
sarah_tnParticipantI hope Captain Swan does happen. If it doesn’t, I’ll be crushed. These days, waiting for more Captain Swan scenes is what I look forward to the most about the show.

I’m a big Colin O’Donoghue fan too, and I do believe he’s every bit as good an actor as Robert Carlyle, but lets give credit where it’s due. Robert Carlyle is one of the best actors I’ve ever seen. With his talent being what it is, I just hope he’s not being underserved by using his abilities on tv, rather than on the silver screen. He’s Oscar material.
I think that he chose to do TV because the schedule made it easier to spend time with his family….
I really admire that! 😀
