Anyone who plays Belle is my hero, so I picked Emilie de Ravin (she’s adorable and incredibly talented!) …but I’d be absolutely thrilled with any of them. Ginnifer Goodwin is from Memphis- I grew up in a suburb of Memphis from age 10 until college!
Really? I’m from Chattanooga, and our Pastor is from Memphis. That’s cool!
Cool! I lived in Germantown and went to school at UT Knoxville! My parents still live in Germantown.
I keep wondering if Ginnifer Goodwin and I ever unknowingly crossed paths- it’s plausible, she’s only a few years older than me. I saw a clip of an interview where someone in the audience was from Memphis, and she went “Corky’s or Rendezvous?” Hehe- those are 2 famous Memphis BBQ places. My dad always takes people to Rendezvous when we have visitors from out of town.
This is such a small world! đ

sarah_tnParticipantMy favorite is Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook). I’d loooooooooovvvvveeeee it if the podcast interviewed him!!!! I guess you can tell I really like him alot! đ
sarah_tnParticipantI don’t see anything in news reports. If this isn’t true, then all it’ll do is worry and upset people. If you really do know anything, since nothing’s been released to the public, if you can’t provide more information, I don’t think you should have said anything. That’s just my opinion.
sarah_tnParticipantYeah, it would have been cute if in the car, Henry would have had the radio turned on to Guns and Roses or something! đ

Incredibly cool! I wish I could be there. Not just to see Colin O’Donoghue, but for all of them. What a great line up!
sarah_tnParticipantI think a double-agent is exactly what Hook is lining up to be. I don’t know if it’ll be immediate but at some point, I bet he ends up telling Emma about what Cora’s plans are. I think he’ll end up stabbing Cora and Regina in the back (so to speak).
If he doesn’t, he’ll end up regretting his alliance with the bad gals and will switch teams. I still think he’s going to end up having been a mole in the bad camp though.

That pic with dady Rumple and baby Bael… Gods, could someone help me to pickup my shattered heart please? đ„
I was at a toy store early this afternoon, and suddenly guess what was playing on the background? Beauty and the Beast soundtrack Something there. And all of sudden, i don’t know why i became all emotional… Almost to tears. Silly me đł
You like the character, because he is relevant to what speaks to your life, in some way. It matters to you. There’s nothing silly about that. I like Hook just as much as you like Rumple and so if the tables were turned, I might be doing the same thing.

Now if it is Hook himself then that is something that should be allowed no matter what. If it does not break the terms of service then have enough grace to accept it without the intimidation and defensiveness (which I have already seen in here).
I think that people feel so passionately about this character that sometimes the line gets blurred, and if people don’t like Hook and state that in an emphatic way, his fans feel it as an attack, and as though they need to defend him, and themselves for loving him.

So how could the two possibly exist long-term in the same town, because I just don’t see it.
What you say about their neverending grudge preventing them from coexisting is a fair enough point. I think it’d be too simplistic and boring of a storyline for them to just kill Hook off and eliminate the problem though, (because yeah, if one of them has to die, they won’t be getting rid of Rumple).
I think it’d make for far more interesting storytelling if they develop each character in his own right, having them mature and deal with their issues. I’m not necessarily talking about full on redemption for either of them, I’m just saying that it’d be interesting to see them learn from their mistakes. I think that could lead to a situation where each of them is mature enough to set aside the blind rage. They’ll never be BFFs, but if each of them is developed to a point where he can accept his own faults and responsibilities in this situation, then I can see that eventually they could tolerate each other’s existence.
One of the things this show is big on is showing that even the baddest of the baddies weren’t born that way, something happened to corrupt them, and now they’re being given chances to make amends. The show reflects real life in that way. None of us are perfect, we all make mistakes, and when we’re given the opportunity to make up for it, it’s a struggle to make the correct choices. So I think that keeping Hook as a bad guy and just killing him off because he’s an inconvenience to Rumple would be far too simplistic, wouldn’t challenge the writers at all, and would be a contradiction to the moral of the show.
Phee, I am having trouble with the quotes here, so Iâm just going to do this the best way I can.
Phee: I think that people feel so passionately about this character that sometimes the line gets blurred, and if people don’t like Hook and state that in an emphatic way, his fans feel it as an attack, and as though they need to defend him, and themselves for loving him.
Sarah: I agree with this. I am one of those out there who will admit to feeling that way.

Sarah: Exactly. Besides, of thatâs all there were to the story, there wouldnât be much depth and I think it would disappoint everyone. They chose a perfect actor to play Captain Hook. The story line they started him off with (Milah) is deep, and amazing. The detail theyâve put into his character has already been established, and Hook fan or not, I think everyone would be disappointed if the result of their work doesnât live up to what theyâve got. To put it in terms of an analogy, itâd be like inviting the public to a big fireworks show with store-bought bottle rockets.

Sarah: This is one of the reasons I love this show. The writers are doing a great job. They add a human quality to the stories we read as kids. For philosophical people like me, this gives a lot to mull over, and chat about at the âwater coolerâ the next morning after the show.

I love the question with the baby.
Yeah, me too. With the baby ogre comment I don’t think it was any spoiler, but my mind immediately jumped to Shrek. I think that’s Universal Studios though, so I doubt we’ll see any talking donkies or kitty kats with spanish accents walking around.
