Sorry if my post started such a large discussion. I was just thinking out loud some ideas I thought the writers could do with Hook in Storybrooke.
I think Hook’s fate depends on Rumpel. To me, I don’t think Rumpel perceives Hook as a big threat. I think he finds Cora more of a threat. Rumpel tries to find an angle with every person he meets so it is possible that he will find a way to use Hook so he keeps him in Storybrooke or else Hook somehow no longer becomes a threat to him and Belle (i.e. lose his memory).
This may be a little more far fetched but Hook could align himself with Emma/Charmings. He would have to go against Cora in order to do that. Emma didn’t seem too upset when Hook said he wanted to kill Rumpel. I could see Hook form an alliance with the good guys against Cora if it benefits himself in some way. That would give him some protection against Rumpel.
As for his redemption, I wouldn’t rule it out. The creators always state that they don’t write pure evil villians. So I wouldn’t put it past them to eventually do this with his character.
You’re absolutely right.
Oncewatcher: You’re right too (but remember: Bees, and honey…. 😉 )
[adrotate group="5"]sarah_tnParticipantI think Neal is actually a lost boy. I think Peter will come into the scene next season, and that he and Neal will know eachother.

Thanks for posting it, and 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 !
Hook is evil!More like evil wannabe. He’s no Rumplestiltskin.

I thought the ally would be smee.
But your idea is pretty cool. I really want that Regina find someone to love, but I think she likes more the goodies. If Captain Hook doesn’t end up with Emma, he and Regina are a perfect match!
sarah_tnParticipantOncewatcher, if ABC reads this page and doesn’t take your comments to heart, they are hopeless fools.

I love how they are showing us how much he sucks at being a villain…Maybe it’s because deep down he’s not a villain he’s just a man looking for his revenge
I love that fight with Emma..It’s so glaringly obvious he lost on purpose
I agree 100%. He is an anti-villian. He is a man who is broken- imagine how you would feel if your love was killed and died in your arms. I know I would be pretty traumatized and would want revenge. Before Milah, he was just a man who was carefree and wanted to experience life to the fullest.
They have purposefully made him to ‘suck’ at being a villian because he is not a villian. Yes, in the sneak peek he said he wanted to kill Belle- but I truly believe it was just all talk. He only wants to hurt Rumple. To use Belle to lure Rumple to him.
The directors have even stated that he is not truly a villian- “He is either a villian in a heros body, or a hero in a villians body”. And it is this that makes him redeemable. No matter what anyone else says I believe he will be redeemed, once he begins to develop his feelings for Emma, which have already been revealed. As for the fight with Emma, I agree. I mean he even stuck his sword in the sand when Emma was on the ground so he could grab her leg! He had about 6 opportunites to kill her. And I love what the writers have done, with how they contrasted how in the past Hook was going to kill Belle for no reason, and showed how he resfuses to even harm Emma. -Again redeemable qualities 🙂
I have to stop now before I write a whole 2 pages on this 😀
I love your post! I agree! 😀 You are so right!

Here’s another one:
Fugued_Out: @aikaterinik @oncewatcher1 @colinodonoghue1 OMG NOOOOO I am SO not watching if Hook is gone, I started watching cuz of HOOK !
I could spend all day on this, but I can’t. Point is, interest in Hook is not defined by posters on this board. It’s defined by results, and by random, unprejudiced chatter (like in social media).
Don’t blame me for the topic that resulted in that poster’s comment. I didn’t start it.
If they get rid of him (surely, they can’t be that dumb), it’s really going to kind of kill it for me. What reason will I have to hang around here, if I can’t look forward to, and talk about my favorite character? I think there are some people here who must be in the business (that’s what I get from their comments), and they’ve been spending so much time with eachother, than they can’t value or understand the feelings of others outside their own little circle. If Hook’s gone, I’m done. You can bet money on that one.
sarah_tnParticipantThat’s exactly what this is. This is a good case of writers block. It seems like the writing has been kind of weak the past season. Maybe this is the reason why, if they’re not putting any real effort in it.
sarah_tnParticipantI have another theory. I wont’ go into too much detail, but there may be a good reason why a certain character may not be compatible with a certain character if it turns out there was something going on between Snow’s mom and _____.

I think it’s going to be Hook/Killian as Peter Pan a lot of the clues are there..and it’s a great twist and it helps out with the quote of being a villain trapped in a hero’s body or a hero trapped in a villain’s body (I think it’s the latter)
Wow. That would be so meaningful! I would love it, if that’s where the writers are going. Until it happens though, who knows/
