But… he already thought Belle was dead once. She dies again, he’s going to be pissed but is he going to be all that different than the last time?
[adrotate group="5"]schmackyParticipantso let’s not get into shipwars please.
We’ve all got our opinions and we’re all entitled to them so there really is no use for fighting is there?
Holy…. crap. LOL
Taking things a bit too personal and/or defensively, eh? I wasn’t even dissing Hook and Emma getting together. I didn’t say anything about any ship.
Just pointed out that saying Neal was a bad influence but not Hook is just… well, funny.
Because they’re both bad influences. She’s a bad influence. Like you said, they’re all screw ups.
I have absolutely no interest in any type of “ship war.” But, I do have my opinion and will express it. Wasn’t arguing. So… thanks so kindly for freaking out.
schmackyParticipantLOL Neal is a bad influence on Emma even though he’s the one that suggested they settle down and stop stealing stuff?
But Hook is just fine with this thievery, open double crossing, and heart ripping? hehe

You say you already do judge people yet say it’s not your place. OK. It’s not your place to judge someone’s moral actions why?
December 6, 2012 at 5:24 pm in reply to: QUEEN OF HEARTS — FAVORITE & LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS #163909schmackyParticipantYes. Nobody can judge morallity. That’s what I believe.
Really? So you’ve never watched the news of some guy killing some family members and never thought “Man, that is messed up and wrong” ? And thinking it’s wrong not because they broke the law but because they took another life.. never thought something like that? That’s judging morality. *shrug*
December 5, 2012 at 11:07 pm in reply to: QUEEN OF HEARTS — FAVORITE & LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS #163863schmackyParticipantAgain this is legally, where I speak of morally.
No, I meant morally. As I have the entire conversation. I just meant think of it as a court of law… where you are judged by your peers. Morally, if we don’t judge then who does? Nobody?
December 5, 2012 at 10:42 pm in reply to: QUEEN OF HEARTS — FAVORITE & LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS #163860schmackyParticipantWhy can’t we be the judge of it? Think of a court of law. You are judged by your peers. If we don’t then who does? Does Regina herself just determine when she’s now a good hearted person? And redeemed? And deserving of things?
I think Faux Pax already answered your question on how we judge someone as bad or not…
(actions, yes, people overall, no)
It’s not so much that Regina is bad or good. Like, deep down in her soul or whatever. It’s more about her actions. Her actions have predominately been bad and therefore people classify her as bad.
Just as Snow White’s actions have predominately been good and therefore we classify her as good.
But, who is to say what is good and bad? The people. All people. All people have a right to judge the actions of others as good or bad. IMO anyway.
December 5, 2012 at 10:23 pm in reply to: QUEEN OF HEARTS — FAVORITE & LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS #163857schmackyParticipantMorally are there a difference between bad-just as bad ?
Yes, there’s a difference. OK I’m gonna try and make it simple in the bad vs. just as bad.
Using the word “as” is a direct comparison. Saying one thing is to the same degree, amount, or extent of another thing.
For example if someone who is 6′ they can say “I am tall.” But they can’t say “I am just as tall as Tim” when Tim is 7 feet tall.
That’s the difference. Standing by while something bad happens could be a bad thing morally. But it’s not as bad as the person that committed the crime.
December 5, 2012 at 10:13 pm in reply to: QUEEN OF HEARTS — FAVORITE & LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS #163853schmackyParticipantI never answered my questions on a legal viewpoint. So, I’ve already answered your questions.
December 5, 2012 at 9:57 pm in reply to: QUEEN OF HEARTS — FAVORITE & LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS #163849schmackyParticipantYeah, legally and morally, I highly disagree that they’re the same thing.
Choosing to do harm on someone either through your own device or another (hiring someone, etc) is not the same thing as choosing not to stand in the way for whatever reason (fear, retribution, karma, etc).
Both wrong. No doubt. But not the same. Not even close. No.
There are varying degrees IMO of being a bystander. It depends on the situation. If you step in, are you putting yourself in danger? If you are, that needs to be considered where it’s just not a question of morals but personal safety. If you aren’t in danger, then obviously .. that’s not the case.
Let’s take the wraith situation for example. By helping Regina, Emma and her parents put themselves in danger for Regina. They could have gotten killed, they could have gotten hurt, they could have gotten sucked into another portal (oh wait..). If they had chose not to help Regina, it would be understandable because they had to take their own safety into consideration.
The mob is a different situation IMO. By intervening with the mob I don’t believe they thought they would be putting themselves into danger. To not step in at that moment would have been worse because they would have chosen to assist not because of their own safety, but because they simply chose not to.
How do you mean it’s not?
Question 1: Are they just as bad?
Question 2: Are they bad?See the difference?
