Yep, I was ranting about that during the whole episode! 😛
I had assumed at first that Merlin’s magic was corrupted by Hook’s own dark potential. But then he wouldn’t be on the same network as it were, seeing head!Rumple at the same time as Emma. And he certainly wouldn’t have all the past dark ones in his head!
Nope, makes no sense.

@Matt, it’s not just that they need something to bring Hook back to life. There has to be a sacrifice, a life for a life.
So that will probably mean something of value has to be left behind in hell. (Which is totally not the same thing, but hey.) 🙄
So best guess: they find Hook’s soul, take out his heart (even though it’s not a physical one), crush it or leave it in hell, and give him half of Emma’s. And then he can just walk out of there, somehow totally reconstituted.
Even though he is buried in Storybrook.
I know, that makes no sense whatsoever, but it’s basically how the show works now.

^ Yeah, I had wondered exactly that in another thread (yesterday?). In terms of wondering where exactly the shoes are, and how Zelena might get back here. So it sounds like that will actually be addressed. 🙂

Well, baby green bean was conceived outside the town, where magic doesn’t exist. Does that make a difference?
Anyway, I am sure a Rumbelle baby would at least have magic at this point, probably dark magic. Maybe even Dark One style magic. Except it won’t be controlled by the dagger! 😮
I wonder if Belle will start to get powers while she is pregnant? (Like on Charmed, for example). That would be quite the giveaway for Rumple’s DO status, wouldn’t it? 😆
And Belle could have some funny surprise magical “oops” moments. 😉
