Sci-Fi GirlParticipant
Sure, there can be lots of random reasons for why “we can’t get there”.
The stranger one is why “they can’t know we’re here”. That is an extremely odd thing to say, and there better be a reason for it.

Sci-Fi GirlParticipantThough, I didn’t think about it that way till you mentioned it. It’s weird that Alice is the same age as Emma! 😯

Sci-Fi GirlParticipantNo, it couldn’t have been later. Hook and crew were preparing to flee Regina’s Dark Curse when she showed up and said its not happening.

Sci-Fi GirlParticipantI mean, i agree with all the giant references too, so he’s probably all of the above.
Just, the way he showed up and helped with the courts, reminds me of some hallmark or lifetime movie where the single mom’s new quirky neighbor turns out to really be Santa Clause.

Sci-Fi GirlParticipantBased solely on the name and the timing, I’m guessing that Nick is Santa Claus. (Or at least that he’s the Santa of EF2. EF1’s Santa, of course, is Kristoff.)
Saint Nick, AND Jack Frost maybe?!?

Sci-Fi GirlParticipantLOL at random Colin and director photos.
Is he drinking from an R2D2 mug in the first one?!? 😆

Sci-Fi GirlParticipant^ I agree that’s the weirdest part. It’s also why it’s a crack theory. Well, that and the whole idea of dead/fake Henry in the first place!

Sci-Fi GirlParticipantMy post didn’t post … apologies if double post:
2. it thinks is a double post, but there is still no first post…
—Unbreakable curse, intriguing. Thoughts and a crack theory coming up.
First, technically the curse is not “unbreakable”, it’s just impossible to do so without consequences. Drizella said that something bad would happen if the curse were lifted, with strong implications that Henry and/or others would die. That is not technically “unbreakable”, just strong incentive to stop the heroes from breaking it. Leverage as it were. This is not a nitpick, but an interesting and possibly important distinction.
Second: my crack theory. Say we assume that breaking the curse would cause Henry to die. I was wondering, how does that work? I mean, specifically how does a curse make that happen?
I could only think of one scenario. (That I could think of anyway.)
How does breaking a curse cause someone to die? What if the curse is the only thing keeping them alive? Like, what if Driz killed Henry right before casting the curse, and then had the curse create a phantom version of him? Like, it’s really HIM, but he’s still just a construct of the curse?
Remember, she told Regina to think of what was the last thing she (Driz) had done before casting the curse! And that’s when Regina began to tear up! 😮
And it would make double sense because it would also prevent Tremaine from using Henry to bring back Anastasia!
The most interesting part of this theory is that curse!construct Henry is still real enough to BREAK the curse with TLK!
<end_crack_theory>
Yeah, sorry! 😉

Sci-Fi GirlParticipant^Thanks Jerome! That is very interesting, and definitely adds meaning!
I notice the only thread here for Star Trek: Discovery is this one. Should I post comments about the plot/characters there? Or should I start a new thread in “Everything else off-topic”?
If it’s about ST:Disc and OUAT (Alice, specifically)and any connections you see, then keep it here in an OUAT section. If you just wanna talk about ST: Disc then use the thread you linked above.
It’s about Star Trek and Alice in Wonderland, with OUAT as the jumping off point. I guess I will start a thread, and you can move it if needed.

I posted the thread! Let me know if you think it is in the wrong forum:
Alice / Tilly connections in Star Trek: Discovery
Silly side note: FYI, I am told that the official abbreviation of Star Trek: Discovery is DSC. Just as long as no one calls it STD! *facepalm*
