I notice the only thread here for Star Trek: Discovery is this one. Should I post comments about the plot/characters there? Or should I start a new thread in “Everything else off-topic”?
If it’s about ST:Disc and OUAT (Alice, specifically)and any connections you see, then keep it here in an OUAT section. If you just wanna talk about ST: Disc then use the thread you linked above.
It’s about Star Trek and Alice in Wonderland, with OUAT as the jumping off point. I guess I will start a thread, and you can move it if needed. 🙂

^ LOL, he really can’t catch a break, can he! Because he was also in Guardians of the Galaxy, playing young Peter Quill! And I guess he’s the pick for traumatic kid roles because in the first one he:
1) Watches his mother die,
2) and then is immediately abducted by aliens! 😮😮

Ok, that seems pretty obscure, but thanks for confirming that there is a book connection, however trivial.
Now I would like to make some comments about what this juxtaposition made me notice about a completely different show, but those comments should probably be in a different thread.

Yeah, wikipedia lists this ep’s director as Mick Garris, and there is a pic at his wikipedia page. Not current, but clearly same guy. 🙂

I’m already tearing up just seeing the stills. God help me tonight when the actual episode airs. Can anyone tell me who is the man with the long grey hair who looks vaguely like Brent Spiner but isn’t? Is he the director or a writer or what? Maybe he’s ‘another realm’s’ Merlin and he shows up to send Rumple to HH to help Henry.
I had the exact same thought RE: Brent Spiner! ? But like Matt said, I am guessing director. You can see him in this BTS pic looking at monitors:
