Well in fairness, he never said any such thing.  Ingrid assumed that’s what he wanted, and he just didn’t bother to correct her.  I think he’s just not ready to tip his hand quite yet.  IDK what he really wants, but she made it real easy for him to hide by assuming that she had him all figured out.

So, I know you haven’t started adding season 4 events to the timeline, and there are details left to be revealed.  But some folks at my other forum are trying to piece together how the Frozen storyline matches up with previously established events. As you have spent a lot more time scrutinizing the timeline, maybe you can help?

They have given us a number of specific time references, that seem to contradict:

Belle’s & Anna’s timeline:  Right after Anna left Rumple, she met Belle.  They met Belle in Rumple’s castle.  And based on Rumple’s comment surprise about “falling for the help”, it seems Belle hasn’t been there long.  But when Emma and Hook left, Urned Elsa was already in the basement.  This would seem to leave very little time between Anna’s capture in Arendelle, and Urned Elsa being placed in the basement.

Then there is Charming’s timeline:  When Anna leaves him, he is still a shepherd.  But by the time Emma time travels, he has already been recruited by King George, slayed the dragon, agreed to marry Kathrine, and is about to meet Snow.  So, how much time elapsed over those events?

All these things are getting tied together this season, and I’m not sure it all fits.  🙄

Here is the thread at the other forum, and I will also post a link there to your timeline, and this thread.  😎

Also, some good questions were raised there about Marion, and Roland, and time travel.  Namely:  Belle and Rumple met Robin and a pregnant Marion, but by time travel day Marion was already in prison set to be executed.  I just looked at your timeline, and it looks like there is about 40 days between pregnant Marion, and Charming/Snow/carriage day when Emma saved Marion.

So, Roland had to have been born within those 40 days?  *headdesk*

My brain hurts!  (And now I want Regina to say “Time travel gives everyone a headache!” 😆 )

I have figured out how Regina could save Marion, with some very simple magic.

Here is what she could do, if she is prepared be completely selfless.  And I mean completely, as this would be a huge step.

I thought of it when she told Robin to “forget about me”, in order to love Marion again.  I know it was a huge step for her to even consider such a thing, much less say it to Robin.  But if Regina could really, truly, let go, she could offer Robin a memory potion, to literally forget her.  Then he would love Marion, and TLK would work.

Of course, that is the last thing she would really want to do, it would be a nearly impossible decision even for most people.  And Robin is certainly not making it easy.  (Not to mention, he would most likely refuse any such offer.)

But it is, at least, an option.  🙁

edit: BTW, this is not really what I want to happen, It’s just a possibility that I have not seen considered.

So I can’t seem to stop tinkering with this. 😉

Here is a further refined version of what I sent in to the podcast. 🙂

The stone that Grand Pabbie gave to Belle, to help restore her memories, looked like either Rose Quartz, or Amethyst (which is also a type of Quartz).

Of course, it makes perfect sense that Rock Trolls would offer up Rock Medicine for healing!

But beyond that, there is a common mystical practice of using gemstones to provide healing energy, and each type of stone has different healing properties.

Belle’s stone looked a little more like Amethyst, but I think the properties of Rose Quartz seem a better fit for both Belle in general, and her experiences in this episode (in both the past and the present).

Here are just a few of the properties and uses of Rose Quartz.

    (Taken from: http://www.crystalvaults.com/crystal-encyclopedia/rose-quartz )

This part seems to describe Belle in general:

The fair and lovely Rose Quartz, with its gentle pink essence, is a stone of the heart, a Crystal of Unconditional Love.

Rose Quartz also inspires the love of beauty, in self and others, in nature, and especially that which stimulates the imagination – art, music and the written word.

While this part is the very thing she needed in the past, while she was grappling with grief and acceptance.

Rose Quartz is a mothering crystal, inspiring nurturing of the self if one has lost their own mother.

Rose Quartz is a calming and reassuring crystal, excellent for use in trauma or crisis, including the emotional upheaval of mid-life crisis. It strengthens empathy, sensitivity, and aids in the acceptance of necessary change. It is also an excellent stone for comforting grief.

And in the present day, this would have shielded her from the effects of the mirror, as it seems to do the exact opposite of what the mirror does!

It dissolves the sorrows, worries, fears and resentments suppressing the heart’s ability to give and receive love, and replaces it with healing, comfort and inner nourishment.

It encourages the dissolution of anger and resentment, fear and suspicion, and brings the Light of healing, the rebirth of hope, and faith in the benevolence of the Universe.

And finally, this speaks to the feelings that drove Belle for much of the episode: her feelings of guilt over her mistake and her lie, as well as her feeling responsible for what befell Anna. (Which was really not her fault.)

The Divinatory meaning of Rose Quartz: Forgive yourself for past mistakes and do not accept the blame others try to offload for their inadequacies.

Phee, I had a closer look, and you’re right that it looks more like Amethyst.  But I still think that the properties of Rose Quartz are a better fit.

Here is a picture of Amethyst, then Rose Quartz, and then Belle’s stone.  (It’s not the best quality screencap, but it’s what I could make.)

I’m going to try to make a more concise version of this (if I can) for the podcast feedback.  🙂
