My issue with the Tiger Lily idea is that they’d be in a world of hurt if they cast a Latina to play someone who is supposed to be Native American. And while A and E aren’t exactly the sharpest tools in the shed, even they’d know that.
One, it’s been done before. *cough* Chakotay *cough*
Two, on Defiance, this actress already plays the daughter of Graham Greene (and Linda Hamilton 😉 ).
Don’t know what that means, and I don’t really expect her to be Tiger Lily, but I thought I’d point that out. 🙂

About the game I talked about. (I don’t know if it’s a game exactly, but I don’t know what else to call it. 😛 ) I started a thread for the latest episode:

I like analyzing things, looking for parallels and symbolism, and various meanings. And I also tend to obsess over music, and song lyrics.
So I thought it would be fun to think of song lyrics that remind us of OUAT, and share what characters, ships, or stories they remind us of. 🙂
I could make this a weekly thread, if people like it. 😎 I could also make a version of this thread in general discussion, for songs that remind us of characters, ships, or story arcs in general, not specific to one episode. 😀
So, any thoughts? Should I make a song lyrics thread for every episode? And should I make one for the show in general? Or just one or the other?

Regarding episode 4×05 “Breaking Glass”, and the many references to the symbolism of mirrors.
There is so much symbolism regarding mirrors, so I was trying to think if I knew any songs that referred to mirrors or glass in the lyrics. I thought I must have heard some!
Then I remembered this one:

you’re the one who paidSo, who’s story does the song make you think of? I can’t seem to decide. I can think of several POVs that go with some of the lyrics, or even most, but not quite the whole song.
So here’s how I see it. The different characters all take turns singing the song, each singing only the verses that are relevant to them. And the same lines take on a different meaning, with each character who sings them.
I see quite a lot of Rumple in most of the song, but I can’t tell if he is speaking to Bae or to Belle, or to both. Or maybe in turns.
But look at how sinister this verse becomes, if it comes from the Dairy Queen!
Forget what I have done
Sometimes I’ve lost you
Sometimes I’ve won😮
So, what do you all think? What or who do you see the song referring to?

(I had briefly wondered if I had joined the wrong forum. 😮 )I have seen fandoms deconstruct before, especially as a show changes over time. So, all of the reminders to have positive discussions, and not just negative ones, is very heartening. 😀
I have an idea for a game, of sorts. I’ll say more when I can think how best to explain it. 🙂

Just wanted to point out that that song was featured in the most recent episode of NBC’s “The Blacklist.” It was used in a very touching moment, so I’m glad it’s used for my favorite ship!
Yep, right after seeing The Blacklist, I went straight to look for the song on YouTube. 🙂 After about one minute of watching it, I realized it reminded me of Once, and I immediately restarted it from the beginning, to watch it with that in mind. 😎

This is from @SFG. She said she thought it reminded her of SF and Neal/Rumple. It’s really pretty.
*sniff* That was beautiful. The lyrics remind me mostly of Neal and Henry.

Does the Firefox address bar have “https”?
I’m on Firefox, and I noticed it had the “s”. Every page I clicked on, and even just typing the address, it appeared. But I just clicked in the address bar and deleted the “s”, left everything else, and now the address is all normal! 🙂
(Although strangely the chat and all were working fine for me, I didn’t actually notice the https until I saw this thread!) 🙂
