A thought about that Rumple and Zelena’s… thing. It looks like there will be two kisses. Perhaps the first one is Rumple’s attempt distract Zelena and take the dagger, but he fails. Zelena feels humiliated and is pissed off, so she forces him to kiss her as a punishment. And to make it more humiliating for him, she wraps her legs around him..

This takes place before Millers Daughter? O.o I thought it was after Millers daughter but before she was fully married. Like when she had left Rumpel and was just engaged to prince henry
She left Rumple a day before her wedding. Which is why I think this is most likely before Millers Daughter.
Someone else had made a comment what if Leo was the Prince that Cora wanted to meet but couldn’t and that is another reason why she hated Cora.
I think you mean Eva at the end, but yes I agree. I think there is more to Eva/Cora than we knew at first

Here is my guess: she was a miller’s daughter. Cora’s little sister! Their names are pretty similar and they (young Cora and young Eva) also resemble each other in appearance a little. Also the way Cora kissed dead Eva’s hand.. sisters!
And they had a serious rivalry. That would be an interesting parallel to Regina and Zelena’s situation.
Either he was being mean or there’s shenanigans going on.. I guess we just have to wait and watch the rest of the season to find out.

Yeah, probably.. He was practically giving false hope, and that’s not how you deal with the fans of your show. Or with people in general. It’s just cruel. They would have been better not to release that damned spoiler..
Oh, I agree. I don’t like the route they took at all. But I did find that line from the Bros. Grim story interesting. And if this storyline ends with a Rumple free & clear of the Dark One curse, I will at least derive some small sense of satisfaction from that. Small, tiny even, but there.

Rumple already acknowledged in season 2 that magic is a problem and he keeps losing people he loves because of it. And now he has lost his son probably permanently. At the moment he is also learning that even the Dark One can be “powerless” and humiliated. So I agree with you. I don’t think he wants to be the DO any longer.
I still can’t accept that Neal had to die for that to happen. And I think Rumple isn’t going to accept that very easily, either..
I thought the idea was you can only have one true love at a time? So, Daniel was Regina’s TL. He’s gone, so RH (who already had his own TL, with Marian,) is her second chance at TL.
Oh I could’ve sworn that Rumpelstiltskin said it to someone once. That you can have only one true love. I could be remembering his words wrong, but I don’t think he specified that it should be one at a time. Overall I’m always very fuzzy about the “rules” of love/true love in the OUAT universe.
I remeber Charming saying that true love can’t be replaced..
Well, given the way they like to play semantics & leave rules open it perhaps has not been enumerated. I mean, in the exactly one happy Rumple & Milah scene we saw, they seemed to genuinely love each other. Obviously hers was not TL for Rumple. But he carried a torch for her for a long time. Was it TL, or was Belle his first? Can TL go one way? I mean we know Neal considers Emma his TL and she is apparently ambiguous (which is a load of hooey, but whatever,) so maybe it can. Who knows. They haven’t really explained some of the finer points.
I think Rumple is just the kind of man who loves intensely, wether it’s true love or not. And he is generally quite a sentimental guy; he keeps mementos (the chipped cup, Bae’s shawl, his FTL walking stick, etc.) and cries A LOT.
Yah. Those tweets and the lack of sensicalness… not really helping with my position. I’m gonna hang out over here in my little corner still… there is more to this story. Had a thought the other day; Adam has said 1) this has been planned since summer hiatus, 2) it is story driven and 3) he’s dead. Why is it that we are so quick to call him a liar about 1&2 but trust 3 to be true? Crack theories may be cracky, but I posture that all three items could be true. The tweets above – particularly the last three – don’t deter me from hope. He tells a departed SF fan to let him know when they’ve returned to the show (indicating he believes they’ll be back,) a Neal fan to hang in there (aka encouraging them to keep watching,) and a third SF fan that they are telling an ups/downs story… we are at a down now, there will be ups. My rose-colored-goggles (RCGs) have me looking at that in a positive way. Phee discussed it a few pages back – this fanbase has known EVERYTHING before it happens. Why not throw them off track? Spoil something, give fans a fake out, then keep the real thing under wraps. I hypothesized they would do that in 315/316 before 315 aired, and though I was shocked and heartbroken over how 315 went down, I have really returned to that belief. I wouldn’t say I have faith, but I DO have hope. I will continue to hope through 322, and if I’m wrong, I’m prepared to deal with that. But I just don’t think that’s the case. I don’t think A&E have tossed the show they’ve dreamed over for a decade & built over 2.5 years. I don’t.
I’ve been haunted by a tweet (sent to Adam shortly after the spoiler of doom was released) from a SF/Neal fan who threatened to abandon the show if they kill off Neal. Adam’s reply was somewhat like this:
“I hope you give it a chance. You might like it! We hope to surprise you all!”
(I can only imagine how that fan is feeling right now.)

I’m with you, dontstopbelievin. I’m not going to give up hope yet.
Has anyone thought that maybe this is one of Belle’s nightmares. She has had them before and we have seen them as actual scenes. Remember everyone was freaking out about Regina not being at Henry’s birthday party and it all turned out to be Rumple’s nightmare. I mean Belle’s love is being held captive she might think this might be possible considering she herself fell in love with her captor, a fear she might have.
Could be, or perhaps it’s Rumple’s nightmare.. or Zelena is having a wet dream, lol.
It could also be that Rumple is trying to get Zelena’s attention away from the dagger (assuming that he is the man Zelena has romantical feelings for) so that he (or someone else?) could grab it when the opportunity arises, or he is trying to trick her into thinking that he’s on her side and there’s no longer need to control him with the dagger. Didn’t the writers say that “Rumple has tricks in his sleeve”, or something like that?

Such a waste of a great character. So much wasted potential. I’m still hoping it was just an early April Fool’s joke or something, and he’ll be back..
I feel so horrible for Emma, Rumple and Henry. 🙁
Anyway, a few thoughts that hopefully provide some comfort:
Nealfire had a hard and sad life, but at least his suffering is over now. No more misery. (Wow, that sounds a bit heartless..)
And he was okay with his death. He wanted to make that sacrifice, to save the others. He deserved better, but at least he didn’t die completely against his will. He died a hero.
I think Neal felt quite loved in his last moments. He died in the arms of the woman he loved, and who loved him back. And his loving father was there, too.
I think that episode also confirmed what we SF shippers already knew: SwanFire IS True Love! (Which means Emma probably won’t be considering a new romance for a while. She needs time for grieving. Sorry, Hook.)
For me, the story of Emma and Neal will always be one of the greatest love stories in the show. Alongside of Rumbelle.

I can’t believe this.. Neal can’t be gone.. he just can’t. He was a good guy and deserved so much better. This isn’t fair!
Emma has lost his TL. Again.
Henry has lost his father. Again.
And Rumple, MY POOR RUMPLE, was forced to watch his son die before his eyes! All the efforts he made to find Bae and make sure he had a chance at happiness were in vain. This is just WRONG!
I had a birthday on saturday. I really didn’t need this crap right now.. I didn’t need it at all!
There’s better be a good explanation for this..
I think I’m gonna curl up in my Rumbelle bubble for the rest of the season and stay there. I just can’t give up on them, so I’m not going to abandon the show completely.. but if/when the third season starts in this country, I think I won’t be watching..

Hi guys! Do you mind if I squeeze into the yellow bug with you? I know it’s a bit crowded there.. 🙂
I’m new here, so let me tell you a little bit about myself:
I love OUAT, obviously. My favorite character is Rumple, and he’s the main reason why I started to watch this show in the first place. My OTP is Rumbelle (surprise! :p) and they’re also the first couple I’ve ever shipped. (And I ship them so hard!)
So, why I’m HERE?
First, Neal is Rumple’s son, so of course I care about him, too. A lot.
Second, I’ve found my inner SF shipper! I mean, I’ve always liked SwanFire, but I didn’t realize that I really ship them until a certain spoiler was released and the fandom went nuts. I was anxious and needed hope and a voice of reason, and then I found this thread. I’ve been lurking here for quite some time and you guys have made me feel so much better about things. I signed up so that I could say thank you! *hugs the thread*
