I agree. People are entitled to their own opinions and wants etc but it does slightly annoy me how all of a sudden the show isn’t good enough for some people because it isn’t all about Hook. It’s an ensemble show not the Hook and company show. Hook is serving his current purpose well. He is likely to get more screentime when they get on to the Neverland story arc.
Belle is a main character but she isn’t in every episode. Sometimes she only gets a short scene like in Manhattan where she was knocked out by Regina. In The Queen of Hearts, her only scene was in flashback and she was knocked out by Hook. She is getting more screentime now because the story requires her to have more screentime. When the story requires Hook, he’ll have more screentime too.
It’s the question of quality over quantity. Would you prefer Hook to have less screentime but actually serve the story and have a purpose when onscreen or would you prefer him to be in every scene just for the sake of being there?
Thank you to you both, thank you for saying out loud what I thought after reading that post. C’mon! I’m sorry TheBee but I won’t support you there. In some way you remember me those people that tweeted Adam menacing to quit the show if they turn Belle a Hooker. You know Rumpel didn’t appeared that much in season 1. And why? Because it was not the Rumpel show either. Ok, he is a main character pretty much now, but in season one it was first and foremost Emma and Snow and Charming and Regina. So even if I was a bit disappointed not seing him I still watched the show cause I love it as much as I love Rumpel. Of course I would be very upset if they decide to kill him in future, of course I’m upset about the Belle rejecting him plot, but I would still follow. Because this show is one of it’s kind.
Oh and seriously if you find a show as interesting, refreshing and original among all of the cop/medical/judicial dramas, please tell me.

It is the ALSO the response of a parent / NONNIE who wants to protect their kids from some of the nastier parts of life. Young children get exposed to too much before their time not to their benefit. I think a person has the right to decide what is allowed in their home. A person is entitled to standards and if turning Belle into a party girl is against their standard they have the right to say so and STOP supporting something they can not believe in.

But it would be really interesting to see Rumpel struggle and, yes, suffer too. As much as I love him, he need to suffer. He deserve a little angst for what he has done to the Enchanted Forest and his inhabitants. For what he has done to Regina. To Bael and all the others he manipulated and screwed over for his own interest.In fact I now hope Belle will not get her memory back until next season. Rumpel need to atone, understand and learn.

I though about something… What if Rumpel lose his memory in The miller’s daughter? What if he revert to his cursed self and then later on run in Belle/Lacey(?) and help her (whit Keith or whoever that dude on the ground is) without him remembering who she actually is? And then they start to hang out more and more, and falling in love all over again, and then…
Then my heart is going to explode.
