If this is before the curse, he’d be back from Neverland and working for Cora. We don’t know exactly how/when he got back to EF…but may have been about the same time Neil left since Neil aged in our world while Hook was suspended/protected by Cora’s counter-curse.
[adrotate group="5"]seven_of_8ParticipantSorry….long time lurker….but wanted to add something to this thread. Since this is “officially” the first known time travel in this universe, Eddy and Alan get to write the rules. Perhaps no-one from the past sees you for who you really are…kinda like a cloaking spell or when Rumple changed Regina…we saw her normally, but no one else did. Wouldn’t be hard to have Zelena add that kind of magic to her portal spell, either. Would explain the lack of animosity between Rumple and Hook, too.
seven_of_8ParticipantOh, a total plot device, but it gave us a chance to see Rumple choose to be good and bring Belle back!
seven_of_8ParticipantMy guess is it’s some kind of prophecy. Since they were comparing the picture to his father, he obviously wasn’t born yet.

Not sure about my favorite moment but my LEAST favorite is Belle being left behind. Seriously? SERIOUSLY? So not happy about this.
What was the reason again? I didn’t get it very well, just that it was about her following some instructions.
It was a cloaking spell for the town to keep outsiders from finding it. Probably one that oneone can use by reading it, like the one that opened the cell for Snow.
seven_of_8ParticipantWouldn’t Neil know the people of Storybrooke from their actual stories, just like Emma and the rest of us? He might not “know” them and have an emotional connection to them, but he did grow up at some point and would at least know who Snow White, Evil Queen, Prince Charming, the dwarves, etc. He just wouldn’t freak out about it like we would since he’d already know that they were real people from his homeland. Kinda like Americans and Europe (or where ever our ancesters are from), lol.

I’ve been reading your posts for a long time and finally had something cute to chip in. We’re all big Disney fans in my house and watch the Disney Channel with the kids. When my 6 year old climbed into my lap while I was watching this episode, she say the scene where Bae ends up on Hook’s ship. She turned to me and said, “So is he now Jake?” (from the Disney Jr show “Jake and the Pirates” which has a young boy in Neverland who’s a pirate and always foils Captain Hook’s plans). After all the “is he/isn’t he” discussions on here about Bae being Peter Pan, I just cracked up and had to share
Oh, favorite scene was the portal scene…heartbreaking and real.
Least favorite scene: The shadow trying to take the little boy….scenes with small children in danger always give me the willies….shudder.
