Heroes and Villains: — Why was there a random door to Arendelle in the Sorcerer’s (or Author’s?) home? I would understand if it was a portal to, ya kno, everywhere like Jeffersons hat but it seems oddly random that he is just has a portal to one specific place in his home.
Well we know the door belonged to the Sorcerer b/c it was made to send the Snow Queen to our world. Why is it there now? No clue.
My question is – since you can get to the Enchanted Forest from Arendelle by sea… can’t everyone just use this random portal door to go home if they want to? Why are they staying in Storybrook? Especially now that Rumple is gone…all the villains seem to be trapped in the land without magic… they should just go home.
[adrotate group="5"]sharonParticipantHowever, I’m now very curious about whether Will was under the curse’s influence or just taking advantage of the confusion
During the Wonderland series – Alice got his heart back from Storybrooke, and Will put it back in his chest. This happened after Lizard died… anyway – assuming the events currently taking place happened AFTER all the wonderland events.. Will has his heart back.
I understand everything else you said… it just seemed too convenient. Caused an eye roll from me for sure. I really hope 4B is better… or this might be the end of the series for me.
sharonParticipantI like the theory that everyone is partially the author, but I thought the book had a different ending that Henry tore out rather than it ending with Emma being put in the wardrobe. I haven’t re-watched the episodes from season 1 but I remember him saying that the evil queen can’t see the end of the book and they had to hide it at all costs. Does anyone recall this as well?
[/quote]I think what you are referring to is when Henry tore out the part of Emma being put in the wardrobe. He didn’t want Regina to know about that part. The picture even had the embroidered blanket with “Emma” written on it. They threw that page in the fire. So it was not a different ending – it was THE ending that was to be concealed.
As for the author… I don’t think it was written by anyone so much as “enchanted” by someone to write itself. As you all noted, the book changed when Hook and Emma went back in the past…so clearly the book writes itself. I think the whole storyline is linked to the Hat, the Sorcerer, and the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Perhaps the Sorcerer is the one who enchanted the Book.
I also toyed with the idea that somehow the book is written from the imagination/minds of the authors of those books in our World (somehow pulling these stories out of their minds even before they were actually written down). It would be neat if the show somehow explained how these true events became Fairy Tales written by authors in our world.
sharonParticipantRandom thought- what if it’s not about time traveling or that storybook. What if Regina did go into that tavern and actually had met Robin but someone had erases her memories. IE. Rumple, who wanted somone to cast the curse. He ould have needed her to be miserable to do it. Just a thought.I totally had the same theory on the Lily chain! Although I think Rumple probably made a deal with the Snow Queen to erase Regina’s memories… and maybe her and Robin were together for awhile – enough to have a daughter named Lily. The SQ wanted a family (i.e., Lily) and Rumple wanted Regina’s memories erased. The more I think about it though -that’s highly unlikely since a lot of people would have to have their memories erased if she was with Robin Hood for that long. There’s got to be a link between SQ and Lily though…maybe she was using Lily to get to Emma… Lilly was very determined to befriend EmmasharonParticipantHmm… Lily as Regina and Robin Hood’s daughter?
WHAT IF… Regina actually did go in that bar all those years ago and met Robin Hood. They were happy, they had a daughter…but Rumplestiltskin was not happy because he needed Regina to cast the curse. So he made a deal with the Snow Queen to erase Regina and Robin Hood’s memories of ever meeting each other… Regina would believe she never went into the bar, Robin Hood would eventually meed Marian, and life would go on as we had seen. The Snow Queen would have a “family” (Regina’s and Robin Hood’s daughter) as she always wanted. Not sure how they both ended up in our world… but I presume it has something to do with the Snow Queen’s abilities. I know – crack theory…
sharonParticipantMy search will continue to the ends of the earth. One thing I know for sure. The name of the savior is Emma. The savior shall be my sister. The family must be completed.
What if Lily wrote this? She certainly seemed eager to become Emma’s best friend/family. She was desperate to have Emma forgive her… and that darn star marking on her wrist… we haven’t seen the last of her.
October 22, 2014 at 10:45 am in reply to: Why is Hook such a divisive character within the fandom? #286856sharonParticipantSorry if someone has already touched on this – but there was an article floating around out there how they were annoyed that the male villains on the show have easily been redeemed whereas the female villains (i.e., Regina) seem to have to work for it more. It could be one reason why Hook is divisive?
I like the actor a lot…my issue with the character is that his storyline seems to have been fan driven versus story driven. If you re-watch Season 2 – it just really felt like they were setting the story up for Neal to be reunited with Emma. I won’t lie though, that was my personal preference…to see Henry’s parents reunited. Somehow – I still think that should be the end game. It sort of wraps up all the pieces nicely.
sharonParticipantDoes anyone have any theories of what Will is up to?
I believe it has something to do with the repercussions of the second curse. Either (A) it brought all the originally cursed people back to Storybrooke, to include Will – and now Will has to figure out how to get back…maybe he’s looking for an enchanted mirror; or (B) it re-set all the lands back to the original curse…so Anastasia reverted back to the Red Queen. Only now – Will has his heart so he actually feels the pain of losing her.
It seems like a strong possibility because lots of characters from other lands – such as Jefferson and Dr. Whale – were brought by the curse even though they were elsewhere and nobody else from their land was brought.
What do you guys think?
sharonParticipantUm… isn’t Rumple a “Villain” with a Happy Ending? And The Red Queen…she is a “Villain” with a happy ending too, no?
It seems that “villains” are capable of redemption without finding the author of the book
sharonParticipantOkay, so Will has a connection to a character from season one. I really thought it was going to be Marian but she wasn’t around in season one. Emma maybe? Granny? Red?
I’m pretty sure it’s Cinderella. We keep overlooking this because we–the people who watched WL–are already in the know that Ana is Cinderella’s step sister. But for viewers who did not watch WL, they won’t know that Will is Ashely’s step-brother-in-law. Also, the actress who plays ‘Ella was at the red carpet premiere, which felt odd given how little of her we see since S1.
I was just about to write the exact same thing! Ana must have gotten into some kind of trouble, and he seeks out Cinderella for help. That’s my theory.
