ParticipantI’m late to the party, but I’m here now!
I liked it as a whole, but I agree with some of what RG said. Also, once the kids hit the top floor, they all die? Or what?
PLEASE someone explain how Heather found Bill through the tear. Also, how long has 12 been fighting regeneration? His hand was glowing early in the episode, before the Cyberman blasted him.
Tossing in “I don’t want to go” was emotional manipulation.
This came in the middle of him quoting lines from past regenerations, so I didn’t have a problem with that so much. I do wish in the companion montage they would have used classic companions as well.
I love him as the DOCTOR
Me too.

ParticipantI got the feeling it was something Moffat came up with. Were there any finales from the RTD era written or cowritten by Moffet? I may have misinterpreted that part as well.
I wondered if it was maybe something from Dark Water/ Death in Heaven.

ParticipantI would laugh if it was an adult Violet.

ParticipantOOH I’m even more excited than I was before if that is possible. Do we want to try and guess what the second borrow is?

ParticipantI immediately thought of a gated community. LOL

ParticipantHahaha I didn’t like Rose either. Well, I DID in Series 1 with Nine. I did NOT like her with Ten.

ParticipantI feel like I SHOULD like Bill. She ticks all my boxes. I just haven’t been able to warm to her. I don’t know why. She drove me crazy in Eaters of Light when she kept insisting that she knew the history of the Ninth better than The Doctor. I think it was the speech about knowing her face in The Pilot. I think something about that speech just irked me and I haven’t been able to move past it. She has moments that I enjoy, but I just can’t warm to her as a character.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on how you see things, we don’t all have to love the same companions. 🙂

Participantthe more I think about it the more I think you’re right. It’s very Moffat to kill a character tragically only to reveal some sort of twist that brings them back (Rory, Clara, Danny Pink).
Same. The thought hadn’t occurred to me, but now – Yeah that seems completely possible.
This has been my favourite episode this series and I hope they don’t mess the ending up like they did the Monk trilogy.
I loved seeing the genesis of the Cybermen and I want this to stick. I haven’t connected to Bill, but it’s just that I want an emotional payoff to stick. I am one of the weird ones that LOVED Clara, yet I was so angry that they cheapened the emotional death by bringing her back. Sometimes people have good deaths and I wish they would give them that. LOL
Also, I had NO idea that was Simm in the hair and prosthetics.

ParticipantI really like Charming. If you ignore the stupid dragon egg incident and the senseless death of Percival… He’s really a very likable man post season one. Though I agree that he along with all the heroes has an annoying tendency to be self righteous.
I thought I was the only person who still liked Charming. LOL. I pretend most of S4B and S5 didn’t happen. Although the scene where he taught Regina to dance was sweet. Completely bizarre for Regina to not know how to dance but that’s another discussion.
I also liked Bandit Snow, Mayor Regina, Robin (at least the potential Robin), Rumple/S1-3 Gold, and Nealfire. I liked Emma at the beginning, and could hardly stand her by the end. I liked S2 Hook and most of S6 Hook.
A lot of the S1 characters I didn’t care one way or the other about at the beginning but missed them so much by the end. Archie, Jefferson, Ruby, Granny, even Whale… I just liked the depth they gave the town. I also felt like Aurora had a lot of potential before she dropped off the map.

ParticipantOne of the most annoying things in the whole finale. The girl runs around in sky high heels for 5 yrs and here at the climax of her final season, she twists her ankle and is all “oh no. I can’t go on…”
And somehow Rumple can’t/won’t/doesn’t feel like magically healing her….
