Participant“Robin understands that because Robin has a dark past as well. I think they see each other as kindred spirits. They are both people that have evolved to the person that we see them as now. There’s a lot of reasons why I think they connect.”
This ties back in to the discussion from this thread: Robin Hood Villian or Hero?

ParticipantWhy would he instantly be in love with a woman known as the “evil queen”?
It always seemed like Robin took Regina at face value. That seems right for a famous thief who hangs around a whole bunch of other thieves. Even in the Enchanted Forest. He obviously knew who she was, but never treated her differently than anyone else…which seemed to really piss her off. LOL
But in this case, I think he means Storybrooke, which is where they were a couple.

ParticipantI think it was the E! article that specified Sean’s Robin Hood is just Robin Hood and not Robin of Loxley, which is the traditional Robin Hood most of us know.
Storybrooke Robin introduced himself to Regina as Robin of Loxley. I think they made that distinction because the myth of the man is associated with the name Robin Hood.
Forever *twitching* over that still. There is no reason to try and explain it. Especially since Belle recognized Sean even though she only met Tom
Maybe they met at another time?! (shrug)
I’m excited. Very interesting that Robin was a tavern owner. This would predate the Merry Men and Marian. I am assuming this is the same tavern Regina and Tink visit?
Rumple gave Robin gold straw, correct?

ParticipantAnyone else think the force they are fighting has something to do with the Sorcerer’s hat?

ParticipantThe mention of freeing the fairies is a nice call back to how Regina’s hand was shaking after that scene.
So do we think the Author or the Sorcerer is responsible for the need for a sacrifice? My money is on the Sorcerer. He seems like he would be into maintaining balance. Everyone can’t have happy endings.

ParticipantI’ve got a theory that Will Scarlet knows more about the Author or the Sorcerer than he’s let on.
<Goes to read post> I like that! That makes a lot of sense to me. Your point six:
6. We also know that Henry found a hoard of many empty books in the sorcerer’s house, but that they don’t belong to him. They belong to the author, who is someone else besides the sorcerer. What if Author who wrote Henry’s book has written many different books, including Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Oz’s Book of Records?
Now that we know there are multiple authors and they are assigned by the Sorcerer maybe Will’s looking for the Sorcerer or a different author instead of the Peddler? He didn’t seem that impressed with the Henry’s storybook Robin ‘borrowed’.

Enchanted Forest Will and Henry being together. Doesn’t that seem like a Mills-Merry Men type of scene? Didn’t Will act as a guide for Alice in Wonderland. Could that be what he’s doing with Henry?

ParticipantHis whole “dark past” spiel is just the writers way to try and make him have more in common with Regina as they tried to ram OQ down the audience’s throats last season.
We haven’t seen any of his past Pre-Marian. Everything on this show is based on what the writers write. Robin being a grey character might be why they paired him with Regina, but is that bad?
All the main couples on this show besides The Charmings were created by the OUAT writers. So they would all be ‘forced pairings’.

ParticipantI guess that puts Robin in the same camp as David Nolan, when he was cursed to believe he was cheating on his fake wife, Kathryn, with his actual wife, Mary Margaret
To further show how ludicrous the idea of marriage in the EF vs Storybrooke is, technically isn’t David Nolan still not married to Mary Margret? They are different people and according to US law they aren’t married. We know they are married, but what do the records say? Maybe they fixed all of that when Snow’s curse was cast.
Ummm….he technically followed his code because he was going against it by not living by it, one of his codes were to live truthfully and honestly which he said so himself in 4×11 when he was talking to Regina about teaching Roland, and he recognized that he was basically going against his own code by staying with Marian, which would be living a lie, aka, against his code.
I agree with this. It all seemed to be a case of higher truths. His initial reaction is, oh I made this vow I have to follow it (regardless to how unfair it is to all parties involved). I can understand him doing some soul searching and coming to a different conclusion about what his code really meant to him. That seems human.
As far as being a villain, I think Robin Hood represents someone who is on a ‘redemption’ arc. We just haven’t seen what he was like beforehand. With Regina we’ve seen her at her worst and now she’s starting the journey Robin Hood has already been on.

ParticipantThe most common theory is that when she “died”, her essence lived on in her pendant. We saw Zelena’s magic open the time vortex, so it’s likely Zelena’s essence traveled back in time, and she somehow reformed her body.
We saw Zelena fake her death by ‘melting’. It seems like the porcelain death is a similar magic
