I went back to watch the second promo. Mr. Gold is talking about magic coming with a price. We don’t see who he is talking with though. I guess I am assuming she comes to the shop to get the hat and he has a talk with her. Maybe he has a small quantity of magic left as well, or maybe he helps her find some; but one thing about Mr. Gold is he realizes that things seldom go as planned. He knows there is a price with all magic. Whether or not he sees what is going to happen I cannot say, but I do believe he wants Emma to believe in the end, and is willing to risk the hat for the possibility of something happening that might make that work.
I don’t think so. I just think it took her back to think that she would be facing her mom if that were true. Probably part of why she refuses to believe. She has obviously grown fond of MM and all the anger that would go with her being her mom, would ruin a relationship with someone she has allowed to care about.
That would have to be some powerful magic to remember her mom after just being born. But I agree there is something that draws her to MM and that is why so many of us have enjoyed those mother/daughter-like moments throughout this first season.
I’m still not sure Regina sees past Emma being Henry’s mom yet. I can’t imagine there not being some AHA moment where she figures it out, and if she thought she wanted Emma gone before, I think she will go to any length to get rid of her once she knows. That’s why Emma has to figure it out first, or she won’t know what has hit her.
Too funny. I thought the same thing? And she said she was going to make it. I didn’t get the impression it was already made.

That hat box was on the shelf in Gold’s shop as August came through the back door in “The Return” . There is a picture posted on the objects thread. Could just be a continuity error. But I am the keeper of Jefferson’s hat and it was there. 😀

Hard to say. Perhaps we wil find out what happened in this episode.

This is so interesting. So Regina probably gets the hat from Gold since he had it. And he is saying in the promos all magic comes with a price in the real world probably to Regina. Where did she get a bit of magic though?

This curse seems to have some customization to it == a “designer” curse
Don’t know that Gold did the heart part. Regina had the shovel used to bury the box in her garage.

I am calling that Regina's last use of magic in SB will be so that Jefferson can kidnap Emma and remove her from SB and our world by taking her somewhere inside his hat.
Also, wanted to congratulate those of you who got your calls confirmed these last two episodes regarding August!
Call me crazy, but in the second promo it looks like to me that Henry is holding an apple turnover.
