ParticipantHa, ha, that’s awesome! I love it that someone takes the time to think of those details, or someone listens when someone else comes up with the idea:)

ParticipantSince you put the fireflies, what about the crickets chirping in FTL and then in SB?
Also what about the dangerous playground that looks like the EQ’s castle, LOL:)

ParticipantI personally believe the actors hired for this season that are key characters still have a lot of life and story left in them, our writers too. Why create a show and give it such a storyline to end it after one season?
No. There is at least one more season if not two they can easily pull out. One thing I loved about this last episode was the number of characters that appeared, and I think we will see more of that at the end of this season — Regina, Rumpel/Mr. Gold, Emma, David/PCharming, MM/SW, David, August, Archie/Jiminy, Red, The Dwarves… I was trying to think who we didn’t see in this episode — the children from True North, Belle, Sydney, Dr. Whale. I think there are battles to be fought before the war is won/ or the Curse is broken:)
One battle is memory or remembering for the individuals involved; another is Emma following the proper legal form while trying to uncover the truth, and if she doesn’t what does that mean? Can Regina get her kicked out of Storybrooke, or imprison her like Belle? Regina has yet to confirm who Emma is, Emma has yet to believe the stories are true, David and MM have yet to remember who they are, and if they remember they could be committed to some asylum for their looney beliefs.
If the writers stick to their LOST roots and form (and I personally think it would be kind of cool this season) then I agree the opening scene in the pilot will be the ending scene in the finale. Maybe David and MM will remember who they are. If they do there will be a lot of issues with Emma next season since she is not quite the believer they could be – I mean what do you say to parents who say they put you in a magical tree in FTL so she would have her best chance ending up next to a freeway. Also, maybe remembering will put David back in a coma, maybe he won’t be able to handle it, who knows, he was unconcious when the curse was enacted; there are so many places these writers could take us. And if they stay true to LOST form someone will die in the finale that none of us will probably be happy about by the end — I’m thinking Archie or Ruby or Granny, some character we all like but isn’t particularly necessary for upcoming seasons (or can’t renew their contract). Maybe Ruby will save them all from something at the cost of her life.
There are spoilers already posted as to a few characters we know will show up in the finale as well as the title. There is also a very interesting theory by the writer Phee in the forum – Rumplestiltskin’s Agenda that poses the theory that Rumpel/ Mr. Gold is trying to get rid of all magic.
No, these writers are too seasoned to give us everything we want this season, they will just give us a taste to whet the appetite for next season, and why not, there are still so many fairytales they could incorporate – Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, Robinhood, Little Mermaid, those are just a few people have mentioned in the podcast and on the forums. It doesn’t take too much for them to create a “gamechanger” in the storyline, just like they did with August. The question for me really becomes how many seasons can they carry this out without losing the great writing and storyline, and I would love it if they could carry it out and have it all tie up into a neat little bow at the end with 85-90 percent of the questions answered in the end. Although I accepted the writers ending for LOST I never felt completely satisfied because there were too many questions they left unanswered. I hope they don’t do that here.

Participant@ Phee So appreciate your ideas and candor. Have you seen the release for the title of the finale? A land without Magic…
It will be interesting to see how your theory pans out.Liked the cupid’s bow idea, but also realized that Granny’s arrow when she shot Red as a wolf was a silver tipped arrow, so wondering if there is any tie-in there?

ParticipantI thought it was interesting how SW desire to kill the EQ paralleled with Emma’s desire to expose Regina. I like the thought that the arrow never misses it’s target was intended for James all along.

ParticipantFavorite moment was Red looking at the moon, telling James to flee, and taking off her cloak. Did you see those glowing eyes? She has obviously at this point accepted who she is.
Loved when Snow kissed Charming and remembered him, and I am not a big “Snowing” fan.
Also loved the MM/Emma have faith in me scene. Very touching.
Least Favorite: When David walked in to talk with Regina. I wanted to slap myself on the head and say “oy!” That guy is just dense or is it naive. I am looking forward to the day he finds himself.

ParticipantI agree that Kathryn obviously had no more use for Regina and it is possible she is dead. I however, want to believe that she is still alive somehow, and so for the moment am hoping for the FTL heart removal, but still alive in SB. If it is Kathryn’s heart taken in FTL, then it is possible Kathryn is still alive, because the heart is whole. Regina crushed Graham’s heart in order to kill him. So, there is hope given that consideration.

ParticipantGraham seemed to recognize that there was a void and couldn’t remember why and so searched for answers. David has a void that has been filled with false realities (ie. marriage to Kathryn, home and pictures). He is inexplicably and unexplainably drawn to MM, and I think he can’t understand why because He believes the reality he has been given. So his subconcious is working to restore the truth of who he is really is and who MM really is, but he cannot see outside the context he has been given, thus he ties the memories of FTL to the present because at this point he has no way of knowing he and MM are from another world, and why would any rational “human” think such a thing? Graham seemed almost crazy and irrational to Emma in his search for truth and when he finally realized it the queen’s usefulness for him was done, and so was he — done for. I don’t think the queen has David’s heart, but I will say I about died when he walked into her office to talk and confer with her. Does the man have no sense? Obviously not. No sense and no answers. He simply wants to believe what is in front of him and make the easiest connections. He honestly acts as if there is no bad person, he wants to be nice to everyone and believe everyone is looking out for his best interests. Prince Charming understood the good and the evil, David Nolan seems to have no concept. Must be some kind of pixie dust:)

ParticipantI have to say I like the whole Peter Pan theory brought up on the podcast tonight. Peter would know the stories because Wendy read them. He would come and listen to them. So he could know the stories. Also since these writers tend to cross characters I will say, I wonder if August could be both Peter Pan and Rumpel’s son. Also Peter Pan traveled around and between world’s. I know there is a lot of idea that August is Pinnochio, and maybe he is, but I still like the Peter Pan/ Bae tie in.

ParticipantHow about Snow tells Cora, Regina’s mom, and she has the boy executed or married off to someone else or…. And so the EQ blames SW for telling her mother?
