OK, so I am playing catch up from a more than expected busy summer, but i want to say how nice it was that none of you chewed me out for my assumption that the series of opening title sequences shown at comic con were all for season 2. So, I saw that some of those opening sequences were from the first season and only some of them are hints for season 2, so the question is which ones, and who is not to say there won’t be repeats from season 1?

I just finfished looking through the season 1 opening sequences and will also include a list for comparison. The ones I have now highlighted with BOLD are the new ones — hint, hint 🙂

    1) So here’s what I got — Unicorn (isn’t that Emma?)
    2) Is the next one Rumple or is he usually a spinning wheel? Could it be Captain Hook? Robin Hood? (this represented the trolls in first season)
    3) Next is a fairy, but doesn’t look like the Blue Fairy with her jellyfish dress. Who could it be? Reminds me of Granny for some reason… (was fairy godmother in first season)
    4) Then a white horse — Prince Charming, I believe. (This is not one I found in the first season sequence, the charming centric episode The Shepherd actually had a dragon in the opening sequence)
    5) Genie — could be our story with Jafar.
    6) Next, looks like a man on a white horse protecting with sword in hand a woman on a black horse, any ideas? ( I did not find this in the first seasons’ opening sequences)
    7) A wolf? This could be Graham or Red…. Probably Red since she has been upgraded to season regular. (This was Graham)
    8) A rider carrying torch? (This was the opening sequence for Desperate Souls — arecruiting officer?)
    9) Okay, this is a girl with a cape — This one should be Ruby/Red, so maybe the previous one with a wolf is Graham.
    10) August is next, riding his motorcycle, so unless they have a new motorcycle-riding character we will be seeing more of his story.
    11) Frederick will be back.
    12) The dragon representing Malificent is in this opening sequence. (Actually this was used for a Charming centric episode — The Shepherd)
    13) Jiminy Cricket/Archie
    14) SW and the dwarves (from “Apple Red as Blood”)
    15) Wonderland
    16) Gingerbread House/Hansel and Gretel?
    17) Definitely a girl riding through hard on a horse (This was from “Stable Boy”)
    18) Smokemonster? Gamechanger? This was the finale’s opening sequence)
    19) Mulan
    20) Sleeping Beauty (is that Rumplestiltskins spinning wheel?)
    21) Jack and the Beanstalk.

So , I think I am back on the “right ” page. Kind of fun to see what are the new ones. Most of the reporter’s knew the last three, but not #4 or #6. And some thought August’s motorcycle was Emma’s Bug and was a new sequence. I used this link http://ouatv1.blogspot.com/2011/11/easter-eggs-opening-sequence.html to double check. They did not have episode 6, so I had to look that up.

But how would Peter Pan characters end up in Storybrooke? Neverland is a different realm, an island you have to fly to.

There are so many things these writers could do, and these forums have no lack of us, the unpaid writers and thinkers, coming up with our own theories. There are magic beans and hats and… that get us to other realms.

Who is to say that when the curse was enacted the other realms didn’t have their own type of SB experience? We really don’t know what Regina set up or the alliances she had outside the Enchanted Forest. Someone else suggested that the other realms are also around perhaps a chain of islands off the coast of Maine, who knows?

If Bae was indeed Peter Pan or Hook, and Rumple tailor-made the curse to find Bae, then it is perfectly logical that whatever realm he is in coincides somehow with where Rumple is… a pen and a good imagination can conjure up a lot for us this season — explained and unexplained. So, looking forward to it!

I was all, “That costume totally looks piratey. And I’m sure that’s the same hand they showed a second ago. They’re totally only showing one hand. That must mean…could it….ZOMGHE’SGOTAHOOK!!!!!!!” 😮 😆

Don’t remember how long ago it was they last said that they didn’t have the rights to Peter Pan, but I’d figured that after the success of season 1, they would have been negotiating that stuff soon if they hadn’t already started. Looks like they got it sorted out! 😀 Which I’m happy about, coz it means I can cling to my theory that Bae became Peter Pan for a bit longer. 😉

Yes, yes, holding on with you and thinking of lots of other theories too!

OMG – It’s Captain James Hook! (Unless Regina had her hand cut off!) :ugeek:

Wait – does that mean Kitsis and Horowitz were just pretending *NOT* to have the rights to Peter Pan? 😮
Oh, perhaps Baelfire is the famous boy who never grew up! Or even Bealfire is Hook? ❗

Totally on the same page as you slurpeez108

These are some great hints. Where however, is Ariel, Belle, Regina, Rumple, Henry… not that I mind. I know our main characters will be there throughout the season. I was wondering though about the three episode arc they talked about with Regina’s mother, especially now that we know she is the miller’s daughter. Also, The fact, they are introducing Captain Hook makes up for almost eveything since I am a Peter Pan theorist where Bae is concerned, but what if he were Captain Hook? I am loving thinking about the possibilities. But it also tells me the writer’s are working on some idea regarding Peter Pan and even if he weren’t introduced this season, perhaps they will get enough worked out with the rights this year to bring him in next year, using Captain Hook this year as the intro.

Caught up to Crimson Angel at the bottom of page 5. I’m going to have to reread the theories after some time away to make sure about which of those aren’t already called. Having a way busier summer than anticipated. Really great to read everybody’s “chatter”. Hopefully will be caught up to page 7 within the week 🙂

How old is Granny? In red handed she mentioned her brothers were veterans of the second ogre wars. Rumple is supposedly centries old and was in the first ogre war and presumedly Baelfire was being drafted into the second ogre war. Were Granny’s brothers some of the children Rumple saved from the ogre wars?

This is a really great question. Not only that, but I have to wonder if the magic of the wolf curse has kept her alive longer, like Rumple. Maybe I need to ask myself how long does a fairytale character or creature live, anyway? Do they even age the same as we do? I mean in our stories, they are timeless it seems. We never hear much about a FT character dying unless they are eaten by a wolf, magic is used (like Rumple and the fairy godmother),or as we have seen — their heart is yanked out. Maybe they live longer and age differently as a result than what we do, since they live in a magical realm.

I have a strange burning question that’s been in my mind tonight. How many people are waking up from the curse and discovering they’ve been sleeping with a stranger for 28 years? Kind of odd, but Regina did alter David to think he was married to Katherine. Did she mess up any other couples? Maybe do a little spouse swapping, stick people she knew hated each other together. Just a thought. 😆

That is a strange thought. Perhaps I will phrase it for now as “Now that the curse is broken will everyone remember who they were in FTL as well as who they have been programmed to be in SB?” “Will they know Regina painted a false lives for them to keep them from being truly happy?”
