ParticipantI think Weaver may have gotten his memories back when Henry arrived in HH the way Mr. Gold did when he heard Emma’s name in the pilot. We don’t even know why or how Rumple got swept up into this new curse since he didn’t appear to come directly to Henry’s aid although he did send Alice to warn his grandson not to get involved in someone else’s story, lest bad things happen.

ParticipantI like Weaver, but I don’t get him. In 7×1 he was water-boarding someone, but in 7×2 he was testing Rogers to see if he were moral enough. Why? Rumple is the dark one who has long been morally conflicted, but why does he desire to have a partner with a strong moral center? Weaver probably remembers who he really is and wants Rogers to break the curse by finding his long-lost daughter and giving her a paternal TLK to break the curse so that Rumple can return to Belle and Gideon.

ParticipantThe title begs the question of who the first seven witches are.

ParticipantThe daughter is probably Rapunzel. The rook (castle tower) gives it away. A more interesting question is who the mother of Wish Hook’s daughter is. Is she Wish Milha?

ParticipantI may have read too much into this, but the whole bit with Henry screwing up, and it resulting in his child being forcibly removed from their mother, reminded me of Neal’s mistakes and Emma having to give up baby Henry. In this ep, when Henry was all, “I’m just a guy who screwed up, and I’m tryna fix it,” it just made me feel some sorta way…kinda like I wanted to burst into tears because he was reminding me of his dad.
The glimpses of SF keychain and all the talk about second chances between Henry and Cinderella were a big callback to Nealfire’s desire to get a second chance with Henry and Emma.

ParticipantWhile Emma Swan also used to be one of my favorite characters, the real Emma hasn’t existed for several seasons. Sadly, the way it ended didn’t do Emma’s character justice at all. I hope Jennifer Morrison finds happiness and creative fulfillment elsewhere.

ParticipantEmma giving up being the savior and Henry’s mom is so OOC as to totally have destroyed any shred of her former self, but then again, the real Emma Swan died a long time ago. While it’s plain as day that clone Hook is a desperate attempt to keep Colin around and his fans happy, at least this Hook isn’t the same as the pirate mascot who followed Emma around. It’s a way to re-set Hook and give him something better to do (hopefully). At least CS is finally gone and over.

ParticipantYeah, Emma just needs to go. They ruined her character seasons ago, so it just needs to be done. They don’t care about the integrity of their story and their characterization. They are just trying to keep people watching, so they can make money. That’s it. This is why a writer sometimes needs to kill a character because showing them walking away from their family is worse then them dying.
At least Neal died a hero who didn’t abandon Henry. Sheesh! All the writers care about now is the cash cow. That is why they kept all the “fan favorites” and the eye candy (aka Colin) even though his purpose was done as soon as JMo left. The showrunners are scared silly that no one will want to watch their show and then they’ll be jobless because all of their other attempts at writing a show have bombed. Without the help of their mentor, Damon Lindelof, they’ll have a tough time ever crafting another successful show again.

ParticipantThe swan keychain. A stolen car. A dream of a quiet little home on an island, (islands have a beach association). A fake story about his family dying in a fire.
On the one hand, I appreciate that they’re including such blatant callbacks to the love story of Henry’s parents, because it means that they haven’t actually forgotten what their story had originally been all those years ago. On the other hand, I wanna scream because if they did still remember it all, and think that it mattered this much, then why did they throw it in the trash the first time?!?!?!?
THAT! There were a lot of obvious SF-like moments. Lucy is to Kid Henry as Adult Henry is to Emma, so I guess that would make Cinderella kind of like Baelfire. It is incredibly obvious.
I have to wonder if they reason they were SO heavy handed, to point of “OMG OK WE GET IT” about setting up all the indisputable signs that Henry and Cinderella are TL is because they don’t want fandom to get any ideas about an alternative and have history repeat itself.
There is no chance Henry won’t get together with Cinderella, who’ve been compared to Snow and Charming by the showrunners. Perhaps there could be a fake LI while they’re cursed, but there is very little doubt that they will get together again by the end of the season.
Came across this post today just browsing and I think it sums up a lot of the feelings I have regarding Emma leaving Henry to go back to SB either “because pregnancy” or any other reason. Why it’s an odd narrative choice to make and why it does still more damage to Emma’s character.
I wanna pull my hair out reading some of these “spoiler theories” (aka the worst-case scenario). Emma’s journey was supposed to be about Henry bringing her home. Now I’m supposed to believe that Emma would willingly abandon her son and grandchild to go off with the “real” pirate and that she would just leave behind a cheap, knockoff, useless pirate? If that is what happens, only Regina will have shown real maternal love to Henry for his entire life, coming to him in his hour of dire need. I agree that the showrunners have totally messed up Emma’s character and her entire relationship with Henry, all for the sake of the pirate. I guess it doesn’t really matter much anymore since the real Emma Swan has been dead for several seasons already. Good riddance!
