Because “Dark Star” seems rather connected to Lily, so it surely wasn’t a coincidence that she was sitting in front of it!
Nothing is a coincidence on OUAT. I was wondering if Dark Star could have some connection to the Dark Fairy and/or the Sorcerer, whose hat has stars and a moon on it. When a magical creature gets sucked into the sorcerer’s hat, a new star gets created on the exterior fabric of the hat. Part of me wonders if the title of sorcerer can be passed on like the title of author, and whether Lily could become the next sorceress if she inherits the sorcerer’s hat. Part of me also wonders if the Blue Fairy, whose Gaelic name Ruehl Gorm means Blue Star, has more to do with Lily’s banishment than we previously thought.
In popular culture, there is a song by the Grateful Dead called Dark Star. If I’m not mistaken, A&E are both self-described “deadheads” — what fans of that band call themselves. A&E often make allusions to bands and songs they like. The song lyrics are as follows:

Through the transitive nightfall of diamondsDark Star is also the name of a 1974 sci-fi film which is described as a cosmic comedy. The brief movie synopsis is: “In the far reaches of space, a small crew, 20 years into their solitary mission, find things beginning to go hilariously wrong.” I’m not sure if the pharmacy’s name has anything to do with that movie, but it’s still interesting to note.

Here’s hoping that Game of Silence will be far better for MRJ and his fans than Once ever was. So proud of him! And here’s hoping MRJ can show off his acting chops more on this new show.

Those examples had their loopholes, whether you like them or not….Point is, you can’t just open up the possibility of just anybody being resurrected, because what happens to the stakes when you can just bring anybody back from the dead? I agree that the above loopholes are annoying, but you do have to draw the line somewhere.
But my point is, magical rules are not insurmountable or impossible to overcome. There’s always a loop hole! For Pete’s sake, Zelena’s time-travel spell worked, even though it’s against the laws of magic! There’s always a loop-hole!

Don’t think it works that way, because Rumple and Isaac seemed to imply that the Author still had to abide by the laws of magic.
Which we’ve seen can be broken, ad nauseam, as in the examples I provided already.

Ok, so this Author’s quill and ink can only change the past that it created and A&E have confirmed that Isaac did not write Rumple & Bae’s earlier story. For me that says that there’s still hope for the future. If the quill and ink used to originally write Rumple & Bae’s past still exists somewhere, surely they can be used again to change Rumple & Bae’s past.
