ParticipantHere’s my theory: Henry will be the one to discover how to open the door as the product of not just true love but specifically the union of light (Emma) and dark (Neal) rooted in a deep belief in magic and the written word. Might be totally wrong but putting it out there.
I adore this theory. Henry has the heart of the truest believer. Let him believe he can find the Author and he will. However, there may be unintended consequences.

ParticipantAlso, Hook doing right by someone does not negate the other things he’s done. That’s not how redemption works!
Yep.
Not only do I want Captain Kirk to give Emma a good wake-up call, I want him to say to Hook:

Participant*sighs* I just wish Emma knew the truth. That’s all I want for her at this stage–for her to know the entire truth so then she can make an actually informed decision that affects her happiness, as well as Henry’s. She owes it, if not to herself, at least to her kid, to find out who the man she’s dating really is. Despite knowing certain details about Hook’s past, she either willfully ignores it, skips over it, or just plain is ignorant. They say ignorance is bliss, but is it really? Will Emma never learn Hook’s great love was Bae’s mom? (I know the answer is probably not). He mentioned the “woman he loved” again to Ursula, but of course, not by name, nor to Emma. I just want to slap Emma, and give her a good shake and say, “Come on, Honey! The truth shall set you free!” Emma, by the way, STILL doesn’t know exactly what Hook’s sins against Ursula, just that “he’s done right by her” now…*heads desk*
Quickly, Captain Kirk show Emma some sense!

ParticipantAnother crack theory: What if the Sorcerer and Author are twins, but nevertheless are “very different people” according to the Blue Fairy? That could be why one brother banished the other behind the door. Perhaps they were both very powerful rivals and had brotherly competition. It could parallel Lily being Emma’s biological evil twin sister.

ParticipantBarclay Hope is the same actor who played Lily’s adoptive father. I do wonder why we’re seeing him, though.
Hmm, maybe he started out wanting to adopt Emma but went for Lily instead. How odd is it though that he’s mentioned but the actress who plays Young Lily is not? Crack theory: What if Lily’s adoptive father is the Sorcerer? What if that is why he got Baby Lily instead, and that is partially why she has a star mark on her as a teenager? Maybe Lily’s adoptive father meant to adopt Emma but chose Lily instead because he saw more potential in her to become the next sorceress. Maybe whoever inherits the sorcerer’s hat gets the job title?
Blue Fairy is going to be in 4×16, leading me to think she knows way more than she’s let on so far. Here’s hoping August and Henry confront her.

ParticipantHook tells Emma that her fate is at stake in Gold’s plan while Regina leads the villains on a wild goose chase.
Well, that’s a recipe for ship wars ever there was one.
Henry makes a breakthrough in his search to find the Author, but Mary Margaret and David need a moment to reconsider the best course of action.
Go Henry! Boo Charming grandparents.
In a Fairy Tale Land flashback, Snow and Charming search for a way to ensure their child will grow-up to be a hero. When a travelling peddler directs them to visit a kindly old hermit, Snow and Charming are presented with a choice that could secure their child’s goodness, but at a price that will haunt them for years to come
Peddler is the Author or the Sorcerer? Price they pay is Lily being sent to A Land Without Magic.

ParticipantCould this Season finale be Henry’s chance to shine?
Henry? Who’s Henry?

Participant*Doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry that my former fave show with strong female leads has been reduced to a penis joke. *

ParticipantI know how to access the door. One of the characters just needs to blow on the page, and the door will float off the page and form a real door. “The spells are in the book.”
Yep. That’s because it’s written in squid ink. Or something.
