And yes he loves playing evil, but there’s only so far that can go. Going out in a blaze of evil glory? That’s how you end Rumple…the man Bobby doesn’t think should ever get a HEA

I think that could be where this is headed, if RC were to have his way. RC’s interview from Oct. 2014 revealed RC thinks Rumple deserves to end his days as a villain.

Question: Do you see him getting a happy ending?
Carlyle: I don’t know. I really don’t know. To be honest, it’s… I think if you start to think of the characters like that then you’re going to start to lose the essence of what they are. Ultimately, they’re not meant for that world. The other characters — Snow White, Charming or whoever it is — these are the happy ending people. So whether these other ones get to that place or not is up to the creators. For me, I just don’t think it would be honest to do that. I think life just ain’t like that. You know, there’s good people and bad people.

That would be nice if it was shown in show though. That’s the problem. I shouldn’t have to read interviews to understand their characters

    Exactly. It’s writing 101. Show don’t tell.

Also what crap is Colin interview

Seriously! This will be a rant. Colin said:

“I think what it is, is the connection that Hook and Emma have. Nobody’s really had the same thing because both have experienced similar things in their past and sort of been abandoned as kids,” he says. “Both of them are thieves. Emma’s done the wrong thing at the wrong time as well for whatever reasons she’s felt were necessary. They kind of see that in each other.”

Utter bull crap! Nobody else ever experienced the same thing as Emma? YES, SOMEONE ELSE FREAKING DID! HIS NAME WAS NEAL CASSIDY!

Colin just more accurately described Neal and Emma than he did Hook and Emma. Baelfire = Lost Boy, Emma = Lost Girl. Both grew up as orphans. Emma stole Neal’s already stolen car. They had that whole Bonnie-and-Clyde-act in Tallahassee.

How unoriginal is CS if Colin has to grasp at straws to try and explain why Emma and Hook “share a connection” ? Just no. Don’t try and take the SF story and pin it onto CS to try and sell it. Utter baloney!

Utter nonsense for Hook to try and make it out like Emma was some sort of pirate in a past life. NO SHE FREAKING WASN’T! Thief =/= Pirate. Emma was a petty thief, just like Neal, but only because they had to survive and never harmed anyone else in the process. Hook, by contrast, was more than just stealing bread to survive: he was a pirate who killed, robbed, committed adultery, and preyed upon the weak and vulnerable just because he could.

How utterly false to claim only Hook and Emma understood each other. NO! Hook was raised by his older brother, and then turned rogue. He claimed it was to fight a tyrannical king, but no king forced Hook to rob, plunder and prey upon the weak and defenseless like poor crippled Rumple, before the was the dark one. Emma and Neal weren’t raised by older siblings like Hook was. They weren’t handed a career in any royal navy like Hook was. No, they had nothing but each other.

I thought I saw black spots on Hook’s heart in this episode, just before Emma put it back in?

Yeah, I noticed that too. Plot master for the win! No matter that it was ruby red just a few episodes ago. Discontinuity galore!

I’m no Swanfire (or hookedonswan, or captainemma, or whatever it’s called for that matter) shipper, but this would actually be more applicable to Neal. Just saying.

Plus, there were rumors that a drunken Will Scarlet kisses Belle in this episode. If true, I’m not sure if Will plants one on an unwilling Belle, or whether Belle welcomes it, seeing how she effectively said Rumple had already lost her. She may be trying out her new freedom. We know beneath Belle’s demure library exterior is her second self, Lacey, a bar fly.

RC doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who would be into Rumbelle (maybe he even wants the new estrangement between them)…but are you just reading between the lines on that, or has he actually admitted it? I’m curious.

He has pretty much admitted to it, on more than one occasion. First time I recall was at CC 2013, and then as recently as Oct. 2014.

Anyways. I’m interested to see where they take this now and (foolishly!) interested in the reconciliation story.

You sure have interesting timing, first with SF now RB. LOL

I’m only guessing since I haven’t been watching, but it seems like CS would basically destroy what little was left of the Golden Swan BrOTP by necessity. Because Emma can’t have an amicable relationship with Gold with Killian around, even if he is Henry’s grandpappy and Neal’s dad. And evil as heck, but that’s another story.

Yeah. Another reason why I dislike Emma and Hook dating. And Emma didn’t even question what sort of crap Hook got up to while Rumple had his heart. Nor did Hook volunteer what he did either. Will no one think of the nuns?!

It was a shame we didn’t get to see Belle under the curse. Imagine her reactions to Regina and Hook.

Yeah, but I guess the closet we got was Belle’s soliloquy in Ingrid’s cursed mirror. There was a lot of wasted potential. I wanted to see Emma affected by that spell of shattered sight because she is usually so walled off. I’d love to see what kind of anger issues she keeps bottled up inside. I also wanted to see Hook under the spell, as well as Robin Hood seeing Regina while cursed.

Yeaaaaaaah. Why hasn’t anyone noticed that ALL THE NUNS are missing?!

Seriously, an order of nuns disappears and no one notices? Wouldn’t Belle have reported the missing nuns to the sheriff, especially since Belle was helping them brew an antidote to Ingrid’s spell just before they mysteriously vanished? And why wasn’t Emma demanding more answers from Hook, and why didn’t he tell her all the crap Rumple made him do? Oh wait, Emma was too busy doing other things at Granny’s, which should have been a crime scene, not a local watering hole. Emma Swan, sheriff of the year. And where’s Prince Charming in all this as her co-sheriff? Hopefully, someone will investigate. I nominate Ruby and Granny with their sense of wolf smell, but probably the nuns weren’t too missed for the 6 weeks while Rumple was wondering around NYC like a homeless person. Couldn’t Rumple live in Neal’s mysteriously-untouched apartment? The first thing he does isn’t to seek a shower, but rather to seek out Ursula. How is she in NYC?

(as in the fourth season out of five total)???

Interesting. Having read Heather’s comment, it being a SW reference makes sense if those have been Regina’s car license plate numbers since S1. I also feel like S4 might be the last season. We have 3 new Big Bads (well 4 if you count Rumple), lots of talk about the Author, the dominant theme of good vs evil, and lots of happy-ending talk (emphasis on the word ending). Plus, the ratings for 4×11 were majorly low. If they go any lower, would ABC give A&E a 5th season? I dunno.
