ParticipantRegina could have very well purposefully made herself unable to conceive to prevent herself from ever getting pregnant by Leopold and the Huntsman! A simple curse that can be undone…
We’ve never heard of Regina using such a spell, so that is pure speculation. All we have to go on is that Regina lived in a pre-industrialized society in which babies were born frequently because birth control seems not to have existed. Regina was having sex with at least two different guys so her not conceiving a child suggests she’s barren, rather than either Leo or the Huntsman being sterile.
For lots of reasons, I think Belle getting pregnant would be better than Regina (at least at this stage). Until Robin sorts things out with Marian and their marriage is shown definitively to be over, I hope for Regina’s sake she’s not pregnant by him. If Robin weren’t already spoken for and didn’t have a child with another woman, I’d be in favor of that too. But until I see a formal divorce paper, I hope there is no child for Robin and Regina. I know Lily being their child is a popular theory, but until we get firm evidence that is the case, I’m not yet willing to bet on it.

ParticipantAnother reason why Belle would be my top choice on Once: A new baby might be just the thing to whip Rumple into shape. Fatherhood was always the most humanizing redemptive quality about Rumple in my opinion.

ParticipantWell, if another couple is going to have a baby on the show, then I really hope it’s Belle. She and Rumple are going to need a way to reconcile when crap hits the fan, and a new baby might be just the thing to whip Rumple into shape. Fatherhood was always the most humanizing redemptive quality about Rumple in my opinion.

ParticipantI’m pretty sure it won’t be Regina who gets pregnant, since I think she might be infertile after failing to get pregnant by either Leopold or the Huntsman in the EF. I think Belle is much more likely to get pregnant, since her fertility was openly commented on.

ParticipantThis may or may not be ONCE–but if it is, I think we all know who it would be. Regina and Robin have very recently had sex in the crypt. And when a show like ONCE doesn’t dance around sex like that…it might mean some baby news.
Well, Regina and Robin aren’t the only contenders for a couple who very recently have had sex. There are the newlyweds Belle and Rumple, who very recently were having lots of honeymoon sex. Belle was also said to look quite fertile by her now deceased father-in-law, Peter Pan. And Belle was recently baby sitting little Snowflake for Snow and Charming. If Rumple and Belle have a falling out when Belle discovers Rumple’s been lying to her, then her discovering she’s pregnant in S4b could be what brings her and her husband back together.

ParticipantIsn’t dead supposed to be dead, or are Mal’s ashes being under Regina’s “preservation spell” keeping her in her undead zombie form beneath the town library? It’ll be interesting to see how she is raised back to life, and yeah, I guess Rumple will hover up those ashes into his sorcerer’s hat, and she’ll come back out wholly alive again in some hand-wavy manner.

ParticipantWhat I’m wondering is whether Mal is alive in the present day. So far, I believe we’ve only seen images of Mal with Ursula and Cruella in what appears to be EF of the past. Yet, we’ve seen images of Ursula and Cruella with Rumple in present-day SB, but no sign of Mal yet in town. Maybe, Ursual, Cruella, and Rumple will resurrect Mal in S4b.
