Participant*sigh* I really wish Zelena weren’t coming back. I’ve never liked her.

Participant–This, however, is problematic if the Tiger Lily/Lucy scenes in S6 are flashbacks to the present day S7 HH stuff. Why? Because Lucy is 10 and Regina, Rogers, Tiana, Henry, Cinderella, et all have still not aged a single day from the time Henry and Cinderella met in the EF 2.0 even though at minimum 11 years should have passed (Lucy’s age + 1 year for courtship/conception). And if time is moving more quickly then everyone really should have aged.
Yes, close to eleven years have probably passed since Henry met Ella in EF 2.0, and we still don’t know why any of the residents of HH look so youthful. We’re supposed to buy that it’s been more than a decade despite the lack of signs of natural aging. You are probably overthinking this (the way a normal, inquisitive person would), but these writers don’t care about the age of actors. The writes just hope we will stop being critical and just suspend our disbelief. Recall how Neal and Emma were played by MRJ and Jennifer in the Tallahassee flashbacks even though both actors were firmly in their 30s at the time but were supposed to be playing teenagers. Lana has also played a much younger version of Regina in flashbacks. Kid Henry was supposed to be about 11 or 12 for several seasons even thought Jared was pushing 14 or 15. It was totally ridiculous because Jared Gilmore was going through a major growth spurt at the time and looked like a much older teenager. The audience is just supposed to believe that these characters are a certain age even if the passage of time doesn’t make sense in terms of natural aging.
We don’t really know how old Lucy was supposed to be in the EF 2.0 flashback with Tiger Lily and Henry. Even though Lucy is 10 in HH, she might have only been around 7, 8, or 9 in those scene. Yes, the actress appears older than 7, but the writers don’t care about details like that. While we’re not really sure how long the residents of HH have been cursed, it could be anywhere from mere weeks to years. One thing I’m pretty sure of though is that those were flashbacks and not flashforwards because of the narrative structure and sequence of events:
(A) Henry told Lucy to get the storybook to safety, which she clearly did because it appeared in published form in HH.
(B) Tiger Lily predicted Lucy would be reunited with her father, which came true because Lucy found Henry Mills living in Seattle when she knocked on his front door.
The fact that those events have already come to pass in the story lead me to conclude that the scenes of Lucy from the season six finale were flashbacks that happened before the present day.
–So either the writers have given up and it’ll never make sense, the Lucy/Tiger Lily scenes are flashfowards to the present day HH stuff (ie: after the breaking of the Curse and is the plot of 7B and a potential S8), or there is about to be some serious timey wimey hijinks involving time travel, lands with times that do not function normally, ect.
The writers gave up even pretending to care about the T word. That is why they always write “a long time ago” or instead of giving us specific amounts of time anymore. Also, these are the same writers who cannot do math because in the pilot kid Henry said he was 10 on Emma’s 28th birthday, yet Emma told Cinderella 1.0 that she was 18 when she had Henry. The only way that could be true is if she gave birth to Henry on her 18th birthday, which seems too significant to overlook if true. The writers probably just messed up the timeline, as they’ve done numerous times before, which is why they no longer give specific dates or even vague amounts of time.

ParticipantI really don’t think Regina secretly had a daughter named Drizella that she forgot to tell Henry about. It’s just a coincidence that Lana and Adeline look similar here. I think the fact that they have similar costumes is merely down to the costume designer looking for inspiration from previous seasons because Regina has had some awesome dresses.

ParticipantLucy’s reaction just doesn’t make sense to me. Why did Lucy even send Henry to Roni’s bar in 7×1 if not because she believed Roni is Regina and Henry’s mom? I feel like this is just a very dumb writing choice and a plot hole as if the writers forgot what they wrote (wouldn’t be the first time).

ParticipantWonder when Regina will get her magic back….is magic even possible in HH? Belief etc might allow it to work?
I don’t think there is any magic in HH the way there wasn’t any in SB until Rumple brought it there in 1×22 by dumping the bottle of TL potion down the well.

ParticipantYou mean at the end of S6? I think that was a flashfoward, not back.
The scenes of Lucy and Henry/ Lucy and Tiger Lily in EF 2.0 were flashforwards compared to when the story left off in S6 in SB, but they were actually flashbacks compared to the present-day in HH. Henry has aged 20 years since he left SB, and we know that Lucy is 10. (Never mind the fact that Regina hasn’t aged a day. Maybe Regina has been using magic to keep herself looking youthful).
I think the scenes with Lucy and Henry in 6×21 and 6×22 take place before our present day events and the darkness attacking Henry was the curse coming that brought everyone to HH. But that’s just my theory. It could have been a flash forward that takes place after the present day HH events.
The scenes of Lucy were only flashforwards compared to the events of S6, but they are only flashbacks compared to the events of the present day in HH. The darkness that came for Henry was before the dark curse took everyone to HH. Henry had tasked Lucy with the mission of getting the fairytale book to safety. That is when Tiger Lily came and prophesied that Lucy would be reunited with Henry one day. Then we saw a scene in HH when Lucy knocked on Henry’s door and the fairy’s prophesy came true.
the watcher wrote: In regards to Lucy’s awareness, I actually just recalled Lucy was present in the flashbacks of the FTL. So not only was she possibly born there but she should have already met the others who were there. So….why is itba surprise to her next episode that roni is Regina. Shouldn’t have known this? or is Lucy not really “awake” but has pieced everything together from what she read in the book?
I don’t get how there can be any confusion about this. It’s clear that Lucy is fully awake and aware that Roni is Regina and Henry’s mother. Don’t you remember that scene in 7×1 when Henry met Roni? Lucy had explained to Henry that the events in his storybook were real. Lucy then stole Henry’s laptop and told him to get it back at Roni’s. He then walked into the bar and said to Roni, “imagine if I walked through that door and told you I was your son” to which Roni replied, “that would be a kicker.” Lucy sent Henry to Roni’s to try and wake him up because Lucy knows fully well that Roni is Henry’s adoptive mother.

ParticipantLana does look amazing in that fairytale costume!
Also, this BTS photo makes me wonder if Drizella is searching for magic among the ruins of Rapunzel’s tower! It looks like a big storm blew through there and scattered all of that debris.

ParticipantPart of me thinks Regina will get a new love interest from EF 2.0, but there doesn’t seem like there is enough time left, especially if there is no S8 and we won’t know who the LI is until 7b. I really don’t want her romance to be rushed! That was one of the biggest problems with Robin Hood and Regina’s relationship (aside from Zelena baby-mama drama and other issues).

ParticipantSo we finally got confirmation that Regina will get a love interest in 7b!
Is there anything you can tease about Regina’s flashback episode and if we’ll get a sense of her love interest for the season?
KITSIS: We are. [The love interest is] not going to be until the second half of the season, but Regina’s flashback is episode 6 and she’s going to have an unlikely pairing with Drizella. So who will be Regina’s new love interest? Will it be someone new from EF 2.0, or will it be Wish Hook or even Rumple, who are both single?
