    “Seeing Emma say “I love you” to somebody was very powerful and to see that connection between the two of them was very powerful.” — Eddy Kitsis

    Cinders!  I HOPE HOPE HOPE that is where the writers are going  because that has the potential to be really brilliant.

    Ditto! That would be an excellent way to tell the back half of S3!

    Hopefully, the story of Rapunzel will tie in somehow to the overall story, the way that Ariel’s story did. Otherwise, it seems like a bit of a missed opportunity or an ad-hoc addition.

    Also, I love this interpretation of a quotation from Eddy Kitsis:

    “Beyond the Charming family dynamic, the producers also fielded questions about romance, particularly the one that might involve Emma and Captain Hook, who had some sparks earlier this season. “I think its hard to deny the handsomeness of Hook, and I think the real question is, is he going to lose the guy liner in Storybrooke, and the answer is no,” Kitsis reveals, although warning that Hook isn’t Emma’s only suitor. “Emma is going to find herself with a few choices this season, and I think that, [like] in all life, there are people that are right for you, and there are the people that are wrong for you, and then there are the people that you just choose, and I think Emma’s going to face all of those things,” he says.”

    Neal=Right, Hook=Wrong, Henry=Chooses (Basically, Dark Hollow in a nutshell)

    but I have beef with Neal: he tells Emma that there isn’t a lot that he remembers from his father that doesn’t suck. REALLY? you had 14 years with your father who loved you and sacrificed EVERYTHING for you and a few months as the dark one (he became that for YOU, ok?) made you forget all that? now everything you lived with your dad sucked? you were almost 15 years old when you left home, so why can’t you remember happy days with your Papa?

    When Neal told Emma that he didn’t have many good memories, it’s because he had spent centuries stuck in NL having to live with feelings of abandonment. Yes, Neal had 14 good years with his papa, but then Rumple turned into the dark one and chose power over his son. Children who suffer abandonment don’t just “get over it.” Rumple letting go of his son resulted in a lifetime of being a fugitive for Baelfire, having to scrape by, living with painful memories. Baelfire spent hundreds of years living alone in a cave being hunted by his vengeful grandfather, Peter Pan. That probably clouded his views of how loving his father once was to him. It’s a miracle Neal turned out as well as he did, still keeping his general optimism, instead of turning to vengeance like Hook did. Neal lost just as much, if not more than Hook, because of Rumple. His own father, who was once a gentle soul, murdered his own mother. A child, even a grown one, doesn’t quickly recover from that.

    Me Thinks Pan Had A lot To Do With Bae’s Running From His Papa Attitude. this had better be explained a lot of daddy issues need to be resolved before he could truly be with Emma

    It already has been dealt with. We had the rest of S2 and first half of S3 to see the way Neal dealt with his anger. By 3×9, we had Neal forgiving his father and understanding that his dad came back for him. So, I’ve seen Neal deal with his “daddy issues” and forgive his father. Neal is in a much better place emotionally now to seek forgiveness from Emma having now forgiven his own father.

    I Believe In Second Chances. If anyone deserves a Second Chance it’s these three. Because Neal Emma & Henry deserve a Second Chance to be a family

    Have hope! If there is one thing I know it’s that Snow White kept telling Emma to have hope Neal could be alive, because happy endings always start with hope! #HopeForSwanFire

    I really love Nealfire

    We all do in this thread. He is one of the most endearing characters in my estimation.

    Now that we’ve that the WW has the dagger in her hands when she faces off against our SB crew, I think it’s VERY possible that when Rumple died/went into the knife, the dagger returned HOME.

    I agree. The dagger is really a portkey to Oz, which is where Rumple ends up going.
