Yet another reason why Neal will survive assuming Rumple survives (which he will) is that Rumple said Neal is his happy ending. Adam and Eddy wouldn’t make Rumple sacrifice himself to save his son and Belle just to kill either of them off now. In my estimation, that leaves Hook as the candidate most likely to take his last bow in a stylish, heroic fashion.

This may be the greatest GIF set ever:

And another one for good measure

Saw this parallel between SF and “The Notebook” on Tumblr:

She disliked him to start with..

    they fell in love…

    first loves…

    They fight..

    they hurt..they go separate paths….

    they find new love…

it hurts to see them with new love…

    one nearly marries,

they find their way back years later….and fight

    they are true love

I love this parallel 🙂 This quote could also work great with Neal and Emma, “They didn’t agree on much. In fact, they rarely agreed on anything. They fought all the time, and they challenged each other every day. But despite their differences, they had one important thing in common. They were crazy about each other.”

Lovely SF video. Here’s another pretty thing.

    Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don’t just say
    And nothing else matters.

Mega Buzz: Is Rumple REALLY Dead?

Is Rumplestiltskin really dead on Once Upon a Time? —Tamryn
“He’s definitely dead,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. But I mean, come on, this is a show about magic! “He went into that knife, it looked like death to me, but he’s the Dark One,” he adds. Sounds like he’s not totally dead just yet.

@lisas – To answer your questions from the chat. Yes, I have a lot of hope for SF and believe that Neal will get his second chance. That is his official motto, and on a show based on hope, I believe it’ll come true. Also, Hook’s S3 motto, “believe a pirate can be a hero,” could be completed by making Hook meet a heroic end.

In other words: TRUST NOTHING. *laughs and passes out cookies*

What if that’s the point–not to trust anything? We’re supposed to get a “compelling” new storytelling method in the second half of S3. What if we get side-ways story telling a la “Sliding Doors” starring Gwyneth Paltrow? That way we get to see two different outcomes given a character’s different choices. What if this final death is a true death, but only as an alternative reality? We may get to see what it would be like if someone did X and Y results and then later get to see what it would be like if that same person did Xprime and Z resulted instead. I’m not sure I’m explaining this very well, but I thought I’d put it out there.

Would Adam and Eddy even be familiar with this story? I admit that it sounds like (even if it’s not a redo of Eurdyice/Orpheus) that Gold does go to some “other world” (and I don’t mean “land”) and the Underworld sounds as good as any (though of course, he should be in the Elysian  Fields).

Oh, I’m sure Adam and Eddy are familiar with Greek mythology. We’ve already heard mention of chimeras, Medussa, Midas, and Jason’s golden fleece. I think that Gold may only be mostly dead, just as Philip was only mostly dead in 2×1. Plus, Rumple was immortal when he “died” so instead of a final death, it was just the undoing of his dark one-ness.

This is where I think Aurora and Philip come into play. Techincally, Philip’s soul was removed from his body. Cora told Aurora that when a wraith consumes a soul, it travels to “another realm.” In 3×1, Aurora alluded to the fact that she had learned to travel other worlds while asleep, which is a consequence of being put under the sleeping curse. It’s possible that Aurora will advise Belle how to save Rumple. And we know that Aurora was able to save Philip and both survived, since we saw them both in 3×1.

In other words, Belle wouldn’t die.

Yep. I saw this Gif set floating around on Tumblr. Adam and Eddy aren’t going to touch a hair on Belle’s beautiful head because Rumple wouldn’t stand for it.

With regards to who might die, there has been a lot of foreshadowing if you look back on the past two seasons that Hook’s time might be drawing to a close. He’s been portrayed as being good at survivng for so long, that he’s just asking to be killed. Why else would the issue of his possible death/survival have been raised so many times ever since he was introduced? Maybe because he was intended to be written as a tragic anti-hero, one who meets an untimely death. Don’t believe me? I read this compilation on Tumblr

“Because that’s what I’ve always liked about you— you’re good at surviving.”
    — Pan to Hook, “Good Form”

“You’re not gonna die.” – Emma Swan, 2×06, to Hook

“You should know by now, the one thing I excel at is surviving.”
    Hook, 2×20

Hook: You’ll have to kill me first.
Rumpelstiltskin: I’m afraid that’s not in the cards for you, sonny boy.”
    “The Crocodile” 2×04

Hook: Oh, you’re going to kill me now? Go ahead. Try.
Cora: So brave. No, I’m not going to kill you. I have something far more satisfying in mind. “Into the Deep” 2×08

“If I was going to pick dead guy of the year, I’d pick you.”
-Emma to Hook in 2.12 “In the Name of the Brother”

A cursory reading might make it seem like Hook isn’t going to die precisely because he’s good at surviving, whereas a closer reading would suggest his ability to survive is going to end. The announcement that a popular character would be dying was announced exactly to the day of the the 1-year anniversary on which Emma called Hook “dead guy of the year.” It’s not a coincidence in my opinion
