ParticipantSo Henry looses his father, Rumple looses his son, and Emma looses someone she has always loved in some way.
I still don’t think it’s Neal. His story is far from complete. He has yet to get his second chance, which was his S3a slogan. Rumple sacrificed himself to give him that chance, just not with him. And Neal said in 3×3 that his second chance with Emma and Henry. He said it wasn’t over and that he’d see them again. I just don’t see it happening, especially if this “death” is story driven, as Adam Horowitz tweeted. Neal has too much “unfinished business” and it wouldn’t just crush Neal’s Happy Ending. It would crush Rumple’s, Henry’s and arguably Emma’s idea of a happy ending.

ParticipantThe death rumor turned out to be true. The unhappy cast member comment was just her opinion. It’s pretty apparent in pictures and comments that the cast truly enjoy one another.
Precisely. I think a lot of us were lulled into believing this PA, because the death rumor turned out to be true. What may NOT be true is that the actor wanted to leave or was fed up, or whatever. That part of the rumor might just be hearsay.

ParticipantHappy thoughts! Here is a spoiler from Adam Horowitz’s twitter. Take everything that PA said with a grain of salt since Adam says she was just reporting RUMORS–and rumors have habit of being untrue. The character’s death has nothing to do with personal choice; it’s plot driven! I really doubt that Neal is the one dying, because he still has yet to get his second chance, Emma has yet to find her hope for a happy ending, and Rumple’s sacrifice can’t be in vain! The option that does make sense in a story driven manner is HOOK because him dying heroically would finally complete his redemption arc, and conclude the Neverland chapter.

ParticipantDirectly from Adam’s Twitter. Take everything the PA said with a grain of salt; she might’ve reported a false rumor.
@texasangel88 that's a rumor. Once cast/crew is a happy family. TRUTH. love runs both ways. what's happening is simply story driven

ParticipantI’m going to post Schmacky. Cause when it doubt…post Schmacky
Thank heavens for Schmacky! He or she is full of understanding and actually gets story plot development. 🙂

ParticipantTwo, MRJ has played some pretty nasty characters on TV in his career. I think I read somewhere that Neal may be one of the first ‘nice’ characters that he’s played in a while? I could be wrong about that but he’s certainly played some bad dudes. It looks like he’s been on Twitter for a while now so I’m sure he’s heard all sorts of things about the other characters he’s played which might actually be justified not having seen True Blood or his other bad guys (Terriers doesn’t count since he’s more good in that) in addition to the slop I’m sure he’s heard from this fandom.
Exactly! MRJ is used to playing hard-core villains! His character in the first season of True Blood was truly detestable! It’s not like an actor is going to completely quit just because of some whiny, loud and obnoxious CS fans, a lot of whom are fanatic teenage girls on Twitter. Imagine if every time an actor got a bad review, or got a negative reaction from crazed online mob of adolescent girls; there’d be no actors keeping at it, trying to push back, or pressing on with acting! It’s ridiculous what Twitter and teenage girls can do, but actors in this day and age can’t afford not to work just because of some very outspoken, brash, rude, and sometimes deluded fans. It’s ridiculous! I hope that MRJ has the sense not to let them get to him!

ParticipantAnother reason for Belle to die: We DID see Gold nearly lose it and go completely dark when he thought that he could never retrieve Belle from Lacey………As much as he loves his son, Gold’s moral center (as Bobby always talks about), his emotional touchstone, is Belle. Without her, I think even with Bae, he’d lose it.
That is interesting….what if Belle dies, goes to heaven/limbo/whatever after life and sees Mr. Gold there. That is how they’re “in the same place” for a while until Rumple returns to life or whatever…..I know convoluted and unlikely, but still possible. Maybe?

ParticipantThis made me laugh…in a black humor sort of way.

ParticipantI have sympathy for what you’re feeling. I do, but if I allow myself to believe Neal is really dead this time, before we even know for sure, I won’t want to watch it happen. I think you need to take everything the PA said with a grain of salt though. Fortunately, I don’t believe that MRJ is going to leave; he’s been filming the last few episodes. First, we have Snow White’s words that Emma owes it to herself to believe Neal could be alive because happy endings start with hope. Rumple sacrificed himself so that Baelfire could have a chance at happiness, just not with him. Neal’s second chance is with Emma and Henry. Also, he said it wasn’t over and that he’d see them again. It just doesn’t add up that Neal would be the one dying! Everything points in the opposite direction. He and Emma are headed for their happy ending.
Hook, by contrast, has allowed himself to believe he’s a real man of honor and yet, he’s not. His character’s season 3a motto was believe a pirate can be a hero, and what a heroic end it would be if he sacrificed himself for Emma and Neal! Also, today being the anniversary of the episode in which Emma called Hook ‘dead guy of the year’ just seems too significant to ignore or write off as a coincidence! I wonder if Colin signed a 1-year contract, knowing in advance his character was not making it past S3. With the Neverland arc behind us, it doesn’t make sense to keep Hook around anymore. Plus, Colin might want out while he has such a large fan base to launch a big-time acting career in America (similar to how Daniel Stevens wanted to leave “Downton Abby” to pursuer a film career, and it was a big shocker that no one wanted to admit).

ParticipantI don’t mean to upset anyone, but Emma called Hook ‘dead guy of the year’ exactly a year ago from today when “In the Name of the Brother” aired on Jan. 20, 3013.
