I don’t usually put much stock into drawing parallels with other movies (especially since The Swan Princess isn’t made by Disney). However, this one was just too cute/prominent not to share.

ParticipantI like it! And the WWW would be inclined to go after Regina since she stranded Jefferson in WL
The WWW could have a personal vendetta against Regina for isolating her daughter Grace from her father for 28+ years and for cursing Jefferson with two sets of memories, which drove him a bit mad in the first place.

Participant- The Wicked Witch of the West (Lost’s Rebecca Mader) lands in Storybrooke on the March 9 episode. She shares ties to two familiar characters. Viewers will learn what turned her green and will eventually meet the Wizard. “There might be some other surprises along the yellow brick road,” Kitsis says. “We’re setting up the fight of all fights: Evil Queen versus Wicked Witch!”
I’m late to the game, but I have an interesting, albeit somewhat batty theory. What if the Wicked Witch of the West is really Jefferson’s long-lost wife and Grace’s mother? That would make a lot of sense, considering the following:
– Jefferson is a realm-jumper who used his portal to travel to many worlds, including Oz. (The door covered by a green curtain is door to Oz, as seen in 1×17). Also, we know from 2×5 that Jefferson has traveled to Oz, because he said the ruby slippers had left that land just before he got there. Rumple had employed Jefferson for his realm-jumping services, and paid him in gold for the Wicked Witch’s crystal ball.
– In 1×17, Jefferson said that Grace’s mother was “lost” (which is code for “not dead” just as Rumple said his son was lost, not dead).
– In 1×17, Regina said to Jefferson, “You don’t leave family behind” in a somewhat jeering way, suggesting that Jefferson and Regina are related somehow. I don’t think Jefferson is Regina’s brother; I think he is her brother-in-law, because he was/is married to the WWW, who could be Regina’s sister!

ParticipantIf it’s going to be Wicked Sisters then make it be Oz’s kid, not Rumple’s Rumple having a child with Cora might kill me.

ParticipantWhy would Regina want the ruby slippers? We know why Rumple needed them, so he could get to our land to find Bae but why would Regina need them?
Rumple in ruby slippers. Now that is something I’d pay to see. 🙂 I’ve no idea why Regina would want them.

ParticipantDidn’t Regina say to Rumple about not using to much magic or she will turn green or something like that so I am still on board with the Sister thing nor the green apple.
Yes, Regina did say something about turning green in 2×2.
I’m pretty sure she was just speaking figuratively though. BUT it was a deliberate popular reference/hint towards Oz.The green apple is just an interesting theory that this point, since Regina loves her apples. It’d be too juicy an opportunity to pass up. Get it? Juicy? LOL

Participant40 cookies says Green apple provided by Regina
I wouldn’t put it past her. 🙂
I think the WWW’s sister, Evanora, turned Theodora green via a poisoned green apple in “Oz: The Great and Powerful.” I think WR is onto something with this #WickedSisters idea.

Kermit and the WWW really the princess and the frog. Regina is the evil woman who turned the prince into the frog. And now the WWW is trying to break the curse. (TOTALLY SERIOUS)
The funny thing is that I’m know you are both serious and not. That’s how we die-hard Oncers are.
I think this is the Wicked of the Witch. That, or Kermit the Frog but probably The Wicked Witch of the West.
I’d never heard of Mario Van Peebles. Thanks for pointing that out!
