ParticipantRemember this direct quotation from Edward Kitsis from this interview?
“It’s fun for us to have Emma on that ship with someone as handsome as Hook thinking the person she truly loves is dead, while he’s trying to get back to her.” Edward Kitsis
aka Neal, the person Emma “truly loves” as in true love
Could it be any clearer? Adam and Eddy are just having their “fun” teasing us with CS all the while keeping Emma and Neal apart, just like they do to most other couples who truly love each other (e.g. Snow and Charming, Rumple and Belle, Aurora and Philip)!

ParticipantSee now, I was under the impression that Rumple CREATED the curse….
Me too. Rumple told Neal in 3×11 that he created the dark curse to find him.

ParticipantFavorite SF moment from 304?
RG beat me to my favorite moment of 3×4 when Emma told her parents how much she loved Neal. I suppose my second favorite scenes were when Neal said, “Emma” like he did in “Manhattan” and also how Emma said, “home” like she did in “Tallahassee.” Seeing Neal’s cave and realizing he was once a Lost Boy like she was a lost girl gave Emma newfound empathy for Neal. That realization preceded her tearful confession to he parents that she’d never stopped loving Neal. It made me hopeful that the way they said these simple little words were really little hints that Emma and Neal are meant to be together in the end.
Yes! They examine all types of relationships. But we haven’t seen a SwanFire type one yet: pain and loss driven apart by fate but also reunited because of fate. Fate, destiny… This isn’t over.
Not only are Emma and Neal the most like us viewers having grown up in this world, but their relationship is the most “normal” of any of the couples we’ve seen yet. So many real-life couples have made mistakes they regret, have struggles, misunderstanding, hurt feelings. Nevertheless, we continue to hold onto the belief that love is enough to overcome a multitude of sins, to find forgiveness, healing, and reconciliation.

ParticipantMost perfect essay ever?
YES! Whoever wrote that essay hit the nail on the head about why so many of us root for Neal to get his second chance!
