When we see him with Hook in the EF it must be the past. So what if they both came to NYC but obviously Hook had to go to Emma since Emma is likely to punch Neal

O____O Please, yes x100,000! That would explain why/how Emma is in Neal’s apartment looking at the dreamcatcher!

That GIF makes me want to drink heavily.

You mean drink hot chotocoalate with cinnamon of course? It’s our chosen beverage around here. To quote Regina, “I don’t do rum.” LOL!

Another pretty thing: Henry and his parents, all three of them!

I think the single one reason why I prefer Neal for Emma over Hook is that Neal has RESPECT for other women that AREN’T EMMA. Two come to mind: Belle and Tinkerbell

Yes! And may I also add Wendy into the mix of women whom Neal/Bae has treated well? This is the girl for whom he was willing to sacrifice himself to save her brothers, so that they wouldn’t have to pay the price of magic! Wendy, the girl who took him in, fed him and housed him, had become like a sister to him. They touched each others’ lives so much in the brief time they were together. Wendy and her brothers then came in search of him, which seemed like a bad idea, since Wendy knew what PP does to those who oppose him, but she was willing to do it so that “Bae would have a family.” That is how much Wendy loves him as a brother! Eventually, Neal got Wendy back to her brothers. Neal is a hero! Remember this scene in which Emma realized how much Wendy loves Neal. From Tumblr

I just wish Emma could have gotten to hear the entire backstory of what Neal did for Wendy and her brothers. Hopefully, someday, she will, even if it’s off-screen.

I also suspect that Nealfire will be very caring and protective of his step-mama, Belle. She just lost the love of her life, and Neal is the only connection she has left to Rumple. I’d love to see Rumple and Belle form a family unit where she is like a sister figure to him. I could see them teaming up to help save Rumple in the second half of S3.

ETA: More wonderful SwanFire family goodness! 😀

This would be the best thing ever! 🙂 “A brief flicker of light against an ocean of darkness.”

RumplesGirl wrote: General announcement from yours truly. As you guys probably noticed the CSF thread was recently opened again and conversations happened. They were actually going ok but I think most of us know that they weren’t going to stay that way. I tried very hard to stay out of it in general because that thread was my waking nightmare (major thank to Phee for listening to me scream). I went to do a check on the CS thread for spoilers and such and saw that there were quite a few : “RG if you read this, just get rid of that thread!!” I had a talk with Daniel and after hearing what I had to say about the continued mental well being of this community he agreed that I could send the THREAD OF DOOM to the dark abyss of Nevermore. It’s gone. For good. Ain’t coming back. I said this to the CSers too but I think we should all collectively agree never to try that again. And not cause we aren’t lovely people who don’t have very legit reasons and rationalizations for why we ship what we ship but cause it just isn’t going to work. I love that we tried. I really do; it shows that we can rise above petty shipping wars and actually TRY to listen to each other. But…let’s not try again. Yeah? Love you all. *cookies*

Really? Sorry that it came to that! The last I checked, I was having a somewhat decent exchange of ideas in that thread. I hope it wasn’t anything I said that got taken the wrong way. I just saw poor Neal being raked over the coals again and felt the need to come to his defense, yet again. But I’m actually glad you shut it down. I felt like no matter how hard I tried, it was impossible to speak sense to people who’re blinded by hatred to Neal as a character. It’s so sad, because people really would rather give into hate than to believe in redemption for Neal, yet they turn a blind eye to excusing every horrible thing Hook has done to Emma and countless others like Regina, Snow, Charming, Neal, Belle, Archie etc… . Yet, Neal gets vilified as if what he did is blasphemy, (an unforgivable sin)!

I’m sorry to hear that RG, you deserved better. The example you gave though was almost exactly what Hook was trying to do to Emma. He insinuated that things had happened with Tink, even though Tink was there saying they hadn’t.

I’m sorry too that you’ve experienced that kind of behavior. No wonder Hook rubs so many of us the wrong way. *Hugs and hot chocolate for you!*

ETA: Here is a pretty thing. Can’t we all just get along and drink hot chocolate together? 🙂

I came across this GIF set on Tumblr of Emma’s reluctance to leave her family, even though she knows she has to do so for Henry’s sake.

Now Emma is about to make a self-sacrifice of leaving the parents again, whom she loves, for the sake of her son, whom she also loves. This is parallel to when Neal had to make a self-sacrifice by leaving Emma, whom he loves, for the sake of getting her home to her parents.  She just found them, thanks in part to Neal letting her go to fulfill her destiny and in part to Henry coming to find her. Yet, the tragedy of it all is that Emma won’t even remember the reason Neal let her go was so she’d be reunited with her parents. *bawling*

Yup! Emma has no home outside of SB, she never has, she just wanders. But the place she ends up just HAPPENS to be the place where she reconnected with Neal? #NotACoincidence

Kind of backs up Happy’s point from 3×07. When Snowing et al are gone everything is awesome. Moment they come back to town, BAM! Disaster, and we’re all going to die. As nice people as they are, being friends with them is seriously dangerous. It’s like there’s another curse on them that no one has ever figured out (and thus never broken). “May you live in interesting times.” You want your happy ending, move as far away from our heroes as physically possible. Maybe Bhutan?

I have to agree with Happy that it was kind of nice for the town not having Snow and Charming around. Being friends with them is sort of like asking for trouble. Maybe everyone in SB really would’ve been better off just crossing the town line and having their memories wiped. Yet, David had to convince them to stay in “We Are Both.” If they hadn’t listened to him, then they, like everyone else would’ve escaped this new curse and just been leading normal lives in NYC or Boston like Emma and Henry currently are.

No matter what else may happen, Emma and Neal have to deal with their feelings for each other. I truly believe that A and E will not sweep that under the rug. Emma has already admitted that it’s easier to run from Neal than it is to face her feelings for him. At some point you stop doing the easy thing and do the hard one because, hard though it may be, it’s the right thing to do. And even if her intention is to move on from Neal, you cannot move on until you’ve faced the past, a past Emma is having to relearn.

Yep, and recall Mama Snow’s sage advice to her daughter in 3×6. “Emma, I get what you’re doing you know. You don’t want to open yourself up to the hope that’s he’s alive, but you should. Because you deserve a happy ending, Emma, and happy endings always start with hope.”  That scene was paralleled to the scene of when Snow gave very similar advice to Ariel about telling Eric she’s a mermaid. “So take my advice. Do the hard thing. Be honest. No secrets. Open your heart to love, because it is so worth the risk. Even if you get hurt, then you’ll know you tried.”
