ParticipantRegina didn’t have to do anything WITH the scroll to cast the curse right?. Didn’t HenPan just drop the thing down the well? Isn’t that the great irony here? Why does he have to destroy the scroll to cast a curse but Regina just threw things in a fire, but not the scroll
I couldn’t tell if HenryPan actually dropped the scroll down the well or if he dropped an ingredient. If he didn’t actually drop the scroll, then there is still a chance that Regina could alter it. Plus, we saw the spoiler images for 3×11 of Peter Pan (aka Robbie Kay) holding what appears to be the scroll. So, I think that HenryPan drops the necessary ingredients down the well which are required to unleash the curse, but that he holds onto the parchment up on which the spell is actually written. Then Rumple or Regina finds a way to swap back PP into his own body, and then Regina gets ahold of the scroll in time to add a safety valve just in the nick of time as the curse once again envelops the town.
And is anyone else really worried about Felix? Cause he hands Pan a bag of ingrediants and I didn’t see a heart.
Yup. Bye, bye Felix!

Looks like a room at Granny’s inn or perhaps Dr. Hopper’s office."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

ParticipantIf Hook is cursed to thinking that he’s just Killian Jones, resident of SB again, and the past AU is not real and Emma isn’t born yet, then why does Hook leave SB to go to NYC with/to see Emma with a potion in hand?
Wait and see I guess, since I’m pretty sure the answer to this question will be hinted at by the end of 3×11. Maybe Hook just sees a pretty lady, Emma, and wants to help her. He might even recognize her as little Emma, whom he saw grow up, according to his altered FTL identity. To Emma, Hook has become like “uncle Killian” since she would think of him as being her parents’ generation, not her own. Emma would think the same way about Neal, by the way, since she would think of him as an uncle figure, too, perhaps. Thus the love triangle would be put on hold.

ParticipantI am confused.
Why can they use the scroll? What exactly is the scroll going to do?The first time the cruse was created, Rumple put a drop of the magic potion created from Snow and Charming’s true love on the actual parchment upon which the spell was written, which is why Emma was the savior. Yet, it seems the curse can only now be altered by the person who last used the curse, and that person is Regina. Regina might be able to somehow actually alter the scroll upon which the curse is written to create some sort of new safety valve, similar to the one Rumple included last time.

ParticipantWOW
Ok. I think I’m getting this. Let’s see if I got this:
–The EF shots we have are an AU flashback that NEVER really happened but everyone in SB (who are cursed again) THINKS happened. So Neal is most likely in SB thinking that he came home from NL as a young boy after Rumple and Belle rescued him and he grew up in FTL.
–So Regina and Snow: maybe not mortal enemies. And in the “past” Regina thinks she is married to RH.
Yes! That is basically the implication of the new curse, in a nutshell. Their fairytale land identities are preserved, just altered. Everybody remains in our world in the present day, either in SB or NYC, but we get FTL flashbacks of “what might have been” but wasn’t really.
–So then does Emma have to come back to SB and rebreak the curse?
Possibly. I haven’t worked out exactly how the new curse would impact Emma. If she thinks she grew up in EF, what does that mean for her now? Does she even know who she is or does the curse give her a new alter-ego since she was never cursed to being with? What about Henry? How would Emma explain the existence of Henry if she thinks she grew up in EF?

ParticipantBut what about Hook. He’s in both places. Are they all in both places?
So, the flashbacks to EF wouldn’t be happening in the present. They’d have “happened in the past” even though they didn’t really happen. The residents of EF would just think those things happened, but they remain in SB or even venture into the rest of the world (e.g. Hook and Emma). That would free up Hook to really be in NYC with Emma and would mean he’s not actually in two places at once (which seems quite impossible).

ParticipantRapunzel was supposed to be 14. Not saying they didn’t decide to change once they case Metz, but just based on the call
Does anyone know how old the actress is who is to play Rapunzel? It could be the case that the actress is in her late teens/early 20s but playing a much younger teen. For example, Wendy Darling’s casting call “Heidi” was supposed to be 13, even though Freya Tingley is herself 19 going on 20.

ParticipantWow. That’s a good idea. So then 312 is an AU of sorts…except Emma in NYC with Hook with Snow pregnant in EF?
So in order for this theory to work, it’s just their FTL memories which have been tweaked, not the actual history of FTL. That means that the scenes for 3×12 are an AU, but not what’s actually happening. It’s just what the people from the EF think happened. Meanwhile, everybody is really walking around in a daze, including Emma, only she’s in NYC with Henry and Hook not knowing who the heck she really is.

ParticipantI’m going to need ice cream. Lots of it. Aren’t I?
I suspect so!
I just had another thought. What if the flashback to FTL during the time of “Skin Deep” is a result of the dark curse being released again? What if this time, instead of robbing everybody of their FTL identities, the consequence is them getting new FTL memories of “what might’ve been?” What if Rumple had told Belle about his son Bae? Would Belle have helped Rumple find some alternative way to locate his son other than the dark curse? Would Bae have returned to the EF and grown into a man along side his father? Would Neal and Hook have been real friends, not competitors? Would Regina have married Robin Hood? Would Emma have grown up with her parents in the Enchanted Forest if Rumple had abandoned his scheme of the dark curse? Would Henry never have been born since Neal would’ve been an adult when Emma was born?

ParticipantThey almost never use “Rumplestiltskin” unless it’s the past. In present SB it’s always “Gold”
Good point! Sounds like another “Skin Deep” flashback to me! You’re right in saying Rumple is probably telling Belle about Baelfire. This is like the “unseen” footage of what else happened when Belle came to live in the Dark Castle.
