Another lovely GIF set of Snowing/Swanfire parallels. Like mother, like daughter!

Oh know….Is Rumple in Coma coming true!

Hope not, because that would be too similar to Charming being in a comma in S1 or Belle having amnesia in S2!

“Pan has regrouped and come up with a Plan B that is probably even more devastating and intense,” series cocreator Adam Horowitz tells TVLine. “It’s going to test all of our heroes to see if and how they can stop him, and at what cost.”

I’m thinking that Peter Pan can eventually be stopped, but that it will require Regina, Rumple and/or Emma sacrificing herself or himself for the greater good. I don’t think they’ll die, but that they’ll get separated and/or have their memories erased again. I have no idea what could break the spell if there is no “safety valve” written into it this time, unless Emma is stronger than even Rumple knows or can foresee.

“The midseason finale is meant to tie up all of the arcs and loose ends from the first half of this season, while also endeavoring to carry over the story into what we are hoping is a compelling new mode of storytelling in the second half,” says Horowitz.

I wonder if this will be an AU-style (a la “Sliding Doors) in which what could’ve happened is shown. Or perhaps what will happen (flash-forward).

Adds Kitsis: ”By the end of Episode 11, most of the loose ends are tied up.

Well that’s a relief! I hate having loose ends hanging all over the place. Good to end the chapter with all those things resolved to then set up a cliffhanger for what’s in store during the next chapter.

So as the midseason finale comes to a climax, viewers can count on new questions to be raised and the threat of a new-yet-familiar evil — an iconic, yet-to-be-identified villainess played by Lost‘s Rebecca Mader — to be introduced (via a new promo following the episode). Hopefully, it’s all tantalizing enough to reel people back in come March 9.

I think we’re about to meet the Wicked Witch of the West from Oz!

I actually proposed that crack theory  here several weeks ago, not thinking it very plausible at the time. But now that we know it’s possible to swap bodies (e.g. Henry and Peter Pan) and that there’s a new curse on the horizon, that I’m thinking it’s actually very possible now. Oh, boy!

Here is a gorgeous Emma Swan/Swanfire fan video to lift everyone’s spirits! 😀

So I had an idea about the Winter finale… You know how there is that second of Emma and Hook looking at each other kind of sad and emotional?  Well, what if it isn’t quite what we thought?  What if it was Emma telling Hook that she doesn’t feel that strongly about him and wants to see where things go with Neal but she still feels bad about it and then BAM curse hits and all that gets erased and some AU/curse thingy happens with Emma being together with Hook but that doesn’t matter because she was trying to pick Neal before things got changed?  Maybe?  Thoughts?

At this stage, I think anything is possible. I posted a similar theory a few pages back. I think the new curse will be unleashed and that Emma will get an alter-ego. I also think that the curse might pair people together who ultimately aren’t right for each other (a la David and Kathryn in S1), which is why we see Hook, Emma and Henry all heading to NYC. And something is off about that, since we all know Neal is the one who ought to be in NYC with Emma, not Hook, given the fact that Neal lives there! That would explain Emma’s plaid pants (very out of character), why she takes Hook in her bug (which is a huge Swanfire symbol), and why Hook is basically a stand-in for Neal. They’re cursed! (*crosses fingers*)

She was trapped in the bubble like Cora and Hook.

I thought it was because Ariel has been in Neverland for the past 30 odd years, and in NL, no one ages because time stands still.

Obviously this is flashback and she’s going to be fine but how sweet will it be if Cyrus saves her!

Yes, I love how both Alice and Cyrus seem to save each other, which reminds me of Snow White and Prince Charming. Alice and Cyrus have such a sweet dynamic. I love seeing them together! I want more of their relationship together please!

I think, love in our world is different than fairytale love. In Fairytale Land, you know true love right away but here, it’s not always that easy, especially if you’ve grown up not really knowing what that is. So it would be easy to not put faith in it and run away or shy from it. But that doesn’t mean it’s not true love. Instead, it’s a hard earned love. It’s a love that lasts even when you don’t know it’s there. It’s a love that sometimes you might lose faith in, but it never goes away.

That is very well put. Real love is not just a good feeling, but something that endures, despite all of the hardships life has to offer. Snow and Charming may have known almost straight away that their love is true, but then, so did Neal and Emma. Snow and Charming have had to fight for their love and have endured long, painful separations, but they have the benefit of coming from a land where true love is literally the most powerful magic of all. Emma and Neal may have been separated by supernatural circumstances, but their decisions about how to deal with their relationship going forward (or not to deal with them as Neal did in S2 or Emma in S3), is what proves whether a relationship can go the distance or not. Emma lost out on her chance at Tallahassee with Neal the first time because she’s the savior and she was destined to break the curse. Experience has taught her not to get her hopes up for her own happy ending. Keep your head down and never get hurt is sort of her motto. She’s used to being on her own, but now she has Henry to consider, too. Despite both being from the Enchanted Forest, both Emma and Neal grew up in this world, which was pretty miserable for them both.

Yet, that is why Emma’s parents, who do have a storybook love, are trying so hard to show Emma that happy endings begin with hope. This world has a way of depriving people of that hope, but Snow and Charming know better, and they’re trying to show their daughter that she does deserve it and can have a happy ending with the man whom Emma loves. Yet, it’s not enough for her to hear it, she has to believe it for herself, just as Neal came to realize it when he nearly died at the end of S2 going into S3. He woke up, both literally and metaphorially, to the fact that when you love someone, you don’t keep it in, but you fight for it. And that is what he is trying to do, but still letting Emma be the one who calls the shots. All he can do is wait for her, put his heart on the line for her, and believe in the power of their love. Emma may shut down, she may run, and she may even hitch her cart to the wrong horse. She may run from her past all she wants, but knowing Emma, eventually she’ll choose to do the hard thing of choosing to face the possibility of pain for the hope of also experiencing the good moments with Neal. She owes it to herself to believe that she deserves a chance to be happy, and that finding Tallahassee with Neal is possible if she’d only believe in the power of their love.

I think “maybe” is Adam-speak for yes! Here’s hoping we get more of Tinkerbell and Hook’s backstory in NL by 3×11!
