So I feel better. Someone sent Adam a pic of the hug and this is what he said
I’m continuing to put my trust in Adam and Eddy’s vision for the story they want to tell, and I believe Adam when he says that pic is so not what people think (i.e. not what CS fans wish it were). Maybe I’m just an eternal optimist, like Neal is (that’s probably why I love him so much!), but I really am not worried. A hug is a hug is a hug. To me it looks like Hook is comforting Emma like she’s just received some hard news. Also, the the much-hyped up kiss turned out to be a forehead kiss with a man other than Hook, I breathed a huge sigh of relief. It’s funny, but I’d actually prefer to see Emma date another man besides Hook, even if that man weren’t Neal. I still think the mystery man (played by Christopher Gorham) is probably not a romance though and is a familial relation to Emma (e.g. her foster brother). The kiss on the forehead was very similar to the kiss Charming gave Emma in 3×8.

Foster brother is my new favorite theory followed by adult Henry. I’d like to see Emma’s reaction in either situation. My other theory is that he is author of Henry’s book, whose origins we’re supposed to learn soon.

There are new spoiler images from 3×12. Looks like SF fans can rest assured it’s not a CS development. A mystery man is kissing Emma on the forehead, suggesting a familial connection like a long-lost foster brother

Goodness, who have we here kissing Emma on the forehead?! Looks like someone new! It’s adult Henry, lol! Perhaps its the author of Henrys’ book? Crazier things have happened!

ETA: Tiara_Rose suggested in the chat that the mystery man could be Emma’s foster brother (brother Swan)! That kiss does look to be brotherly as opposed to romantic.

I could actually see this teenage girl being a younger version of Tamara in a flashback. She might not always have been so confident in her mission. Plenty of girls are insecure and nervous at age 14.

*Raises hand* I thought it was crack-ish when I suggested it earlier, but now, anything really is possible.
Also, Josh and Ginny were spotted in downtown Vancouver, which means they’re in fake NYC too, right? So could be a mother/daughter or father/daughter kiss for all we know.
