ParticipantWhat if Cinderella has more than 2 step-sisters, as is traditionally told? Maybe she had a 3rd, beautiful step-sis, Anna, who ran away to WL with the knave?

ParticipantI was just re-reading this interview from MRJ from Oct. 2013. I get the impression that no one is a bigger Nealfire/Swanfire fan than he is.
Assuming the theoretical notion that Neal does make it to Neverland, will he take kindly to the notion that Captain Hook, who Baelfire knew when he was a young boy, is now putting the moves on Emma? “Look. I don’t think Neal is under any kind of illusions that there isn’t work to be done between he and Emma,” he says, “and that he doesn’t have a lot of work to do to get to where he wants to be, in terms of their relationship. He’s not expecting her to just be waiting around, pining,” he tells us. With that said, though, he does see Neal’s recent acknowledgement of his feelings — and his desire for family — to be a driving force.
“I think that’s his journey,” Michael says. “Since he was a little boy at age 13 and his father let him go down the portal, he’s been kind of a loner, and had to make himself a life in these strange worlds, but he never fit in to any place. So that’s always been his thing; to try to cobble together a sense of family, a sense of belonging, a sense of ‘this is where I’m supposed to be in the world.’ Ever since then. And as such, following one’s heart in that way, there’s gonna be missteps along the way, but I think at this moment, he’s never had the kind of clarity that he has right now. Being a father is the most important thing to him, and just having been able to admit these feelings to the woman that I love, and have them reciprocated… it gives a laser sense of clarity. For the first time, he really knows exactly where he needs to go and what he needs to do to get there. He hasn’t had that before. He’s always been drifting, trying to make a life.”
Neal’s journey, says MRJ, is about finding his family, and that being a dad gives him a sense of belonging and purpose he’s always been seeking. His feelings of love for Emma also illuminates his thoughts, as Rumple would say, and bring him clarity about getting back Henry and Emma. Neal said he *needed* his boy and Emma. If Neal doesn’t get his second chance at a family because of a one-handed pirate with a drinking problem who took his mother.…it would be the unhappiest of endings ever in the history of fairytales. I refuse to believe Adam and Eddy would take Neal on such a heartbreakingly long journey only to leave him out in the cold or give him an an-hock alternative ending. Neal and Emma were destined for one another. Their love is true love, because it shows people can overcome anything, be it supernatural curses or realistic pain, to find one another agin in an otherwise cruel world.

ParticipantTrue. But I think they need to resolve the triangle for sure by the end of the season. And the only way to do that, at least in my view, is let the “non winning” ship be shown why it can’t be endgame. And the only way to do that, short of TLK, is to let Emma try to be with that guy.
I don’t want CS to drag on for all of S3. If they are going to go on a few dates, I want a nice break-up by no later than 3×13 with a clear pro-SF theme for 3×14, the anniversary of “Manhattan.” What can I say? I’m an eternal dreamer? I want the CS story to be neatly resolved so that SF can start to rebuild their relationship by the end of S3. I think it’s safe to say that if OUAT is only going to be 4 seasons long, then it makes the most sense for whichever ‘ship is “endgame” to start to pull ahead by the end of S3.

ParticipantSounds like a Rumbelle kiss. Here is a further tweet fro VanCity Filming:

ParticipantI was so thrilled to read a new interview with Robert Carlyle and MRJ. Bless those two, they’re fantastic and really get inside of their characters’ headspace.
Even though Neal is still wary to about trusting that Rumple has Henry’s (Jared Gilmore) best interests at heart, the realization that Rumple went through a similar childhood may actually bring father and son closer. “Neal is somewhat of an internal optimist,” Raymond-James says. “He was willing to forgive his father before and the stakes have been raised now. Now he feels his son’s life is in danger as a direct result of his father and that’s hard to take. The audience realizes that Rumple’s intentions are pure, but Neal doesn’t. Neal is also somebody who’s looking for a second chance himself with Emma [Jennifer Morrison], the woman he loves, and he’s willing to give his father the 35th chance if conditions eventually work out.”
It’s so true that in order to move forward we must make peace with our pasts. Neal and Rumple learning to understand each other better, and working on their relationship, will bring so much personal growth for Neal. Neal so wants his father to be a good man again, and I think something major will happen in 3×8 to help start Neal and Rumple on the path to forgiveness. If Neal can learn to forgive his dad for what he did to him, then he’s probably dreaming of making it up to Henry for not being there the first 11 years of his son’s life (though he would’ve been had he known about Henry). Also, I love that MRJ brought up Neal’s love for Emma; Neal inwardly longs for Emma to be able to forgive him, just as Rumple longs for Neal to forgive him. Forgiveness of the father leads the hero on his journey to achieving his goals. If we see Neal start to believe in second chances with his dad, he may be all the more inspired to try for a second chance with Emma and Henry.

ParticipantUnlike Rumple’s relationship with Neal, which was tenuous because of Rumple’s quest for power, Malcolm really doesn’t want to have anything to do with his son. “The boy’s a kind of tagalong,” Carlyle explains. “You find him hanging outside the bar waiting for his father to come out.”
Poor little Rumple! That sounds an awful lot like when Bae would mope around while his mom, Milha, was out at the local tavern flirting with men, neglecting her status as a wife and mother. Something must happen such that Neal learns more about his dad’s relationship with his granddad Malcolm. Could it be Neal discovers from Rumple that PP is none other than his grandpa?
“The father only cares about himself, and he’s a selfish guy. Rumple’s father has the gift of the gab. He’s certainly a gregarious kind of guy; friends of everyone and probably no one. He’s a trickster. He’s a hopeless gambler. So he’s really not someone who is usually fitted for parenting.”
Sounds a lot like Peter Pan, doesn’t it?
Yes it does! I now think PP is DaddyPan (aka Malcolm).

ParticipantBut there are still a lot of parallels between the two relationships since the young Bae always hoped to have a closer relationship with his own father, who, despite being preoccupied with dark magic, did love Bae with all his heart. “That’s a moment we can kind of bond over,” Raymond-James says. “‘See, you know what it’s like to have a sh—y father then, too! And it’s hard and maybe I’ve been harder on you than I needed to.’”
Hurray for DaddyRumple-Nealfire mutual understanding! It may not lead to a full reconciliation, but at least we can hope their relationship is on the mend!

And this is why I love MRJ so much! He totally gets inside of Neal’s headspace and understands where he’s coming from.

ParticipantMaybe? I’m thinking Adam’s whole #NotWhatYouThinkItIs to everyone asking about splitting up is key. I’m starting to think that none of us are right.
I hope you’re right about none of us being right. Yet, the fact remains that some actors (4) were spotted filming in downtown Vancouver, which has been confirmed as being NYC. Now the question that remains is, why?

ParticipantSo, a new interview of Jennifer Morrison came out. Needless to say, I’m more than a little disappointed that the media outlet is obviously biased in favor of CS, since not one question was asked about Emma’s feelings for Neal. *sigh*
Tonline: How do you view Emma’s relationship with Hook?
Morrison: Hook’s really taken her by surprise in positive ways, over and over again. She’s so grateful he didn’t lie, and overwhelmed with gratitude that he helped save David’s life — and now trying to save Henry. Hook has stepped up and is present in selflessly offering his help. She’s not used to people showing up for her, Emma’s used to people letting her down, so she has an overwhelming response to someone who doesn’t let her down and is proving to be there for her. Hook is adding to her life and helpful to her life. It does have her attention and whether or not it turns into something more, it will always be meaningful to her that he’s participating in her life in such a significant way.I’m not sure what to think about J-Mo’s answer. While Hook is stepping up and helping her this season by helping save Charming, Neal and Henry, is he really suddenly without flaws in Emma’s eyes? I’m still waiting for Emma’s reaction when she discovers Hook was the lover of Baelfire’s mom. Plus, there was that whole thing about Hook leaving Emma for dead in a magically-fortified jail cell in S2. Is J-Mo teasing that such things don’t matter to Emma? The only thing that gives reassurance is that the kiss with Hook may or may not turn to into something more with Hook…yet I’m starting to think he may successfully break through Emma’s barriers soon enough, having done so in NL where Emma is emotionally vulnerable and therefore more easily taken in.
ETonline: What can you tease about Sunday’s episode, Think Lovely Thoughts?
Morrison: We’re getting close to the point where our heroes, as they call us in the stage directions, are seeing their plan come to fruition. It’s also really redeeming for Emma that saving Neal is helping the situation with Henry. I think there was some confusion with the fans about why Emma would go to save Neal as if it were a distraction from saving Henry. But Neal had lived in Neverland before and she needed to make the next strategic move that would help them get Henry back because they were missing so much information. She saw Neal as the missing puzzle piece that would help them save Henry and that was the truth; he knows how to get them off the island, so it’s been redeeming that Emma trusted her instincts in thinking they would need Neal to beat Pan because she was right. At least J-Mo brought up Neal, but I’m sorta sad that she think Emma was motivated to save Neal because she sees him as a missing puzzle piece to rescue Henry. Surely, Emma was motivated to save Neal, not just for her son, but for herself as well. Even though Emma confessed it’d be easier for her emotionally if Neal weren’t alive, it’s not like she wished him dead maliciously. I want to think at some deep level, it was Emma’s love for Neal which compelled her to want to save Neal, for her own sake, just as Snow said.

ParticipantMaybe it’s Henry who goes missing. Perhaps he runs away to New York.
Then the question becomes, why? Maybe Neal leaves SB to return to his apartment in NYC (because he feels Emma has rejected him in favor of Hook), but something happens to Neal. Henry goes after his dad, because he doesn’t want to lose him again. But Henry gets lost or abducted. Then Emma takes off after Henry and Neal, and Hook as usual follows after Emma. Perhaps Rumple and Belle join in on the search, since Neal is Rumple’s son and Henry is his grandson.
