ParticipantGetting back to 3×8, I’m glad to see that in the second sneak peek Neal wasn’t the only one to be mistrustful of Rumple. EVERYONE there drew a weapon (except Neal), and Emma was the one who said Rumple would have to go through all of them to get to Henry. Now, whether threatening the dark one with a sword is obsolete (because he’s immortal) is one thing, but the fact that Emma is acting just as protective over Henry as Neal was in 3×4 ought to be enough to shut down that argument that Neal was in the wrong to put his son’s safety first. Not one member of the group stopped to say, hey, wait a sec, maybe we CAN trust Rumple when Henry’s life is in danger. Granted, we need to see the rest of the scene to discover how Rumple proves he’s trustworthy, but I’m glad to see everyone else had the same instinct Neal had not to trust Rumple when it comes to Henry. Also, I was glad to hear Wendy stick up for Neal in the first sneak peek, when she said, “Do you really think I would trust a man who abandoned his own son?” I love how Wendy so accurately understands Neal and his motivations. She understands the pain that Bae went through when magic tore apart his family. I just wish the Neal-haters would stop and desist in giving Neal such a hard time for mistrusting Rumple…Rumple clearly needs to earn trust after he broke the deal with his son, and yet, his son, the victim, gets all the blame. It’s getting old.

ParticipantHere is a memo for filming for Monday, Nov. 18 that was circulating on Tumblr:
The biggest takeaway is the description of the scene being filmed:
We will be filming a dialogue scene at 915 West Hastings St. Our scene involves two actors talking outside of a New York Police Station.
The question then becomes which two actors and why are they outside a NYPD? This seems to add to my theory that perhaps there is a missing person to report (e.g. Neal) or some other crime.

ParticipantIt means fan interpretation is interpretation. No more. No less.
You’re absolutely right. Just because Adam and Eddy were paying homage to a classic romantic movie “The Princess Bride” doesn’t mean CS is end-game because there are just as many “Pirates of the Caribbean” references. The writers might just be acknowledging that Colin O’Donoghue said he bases his own portrayal of Hook some on the Dread Pirate Roberts. Yet, that doesn’t automatically make Hook the same as Wesley anymore than it makes Emma Buttercup. (As RG was quick to point out, Emma and Buttercup are nothing alike). Also, we have to keep in mind that the writers have paid homage to “Pirates of the Caribbean”‘s Jack Sparrow by giving Hook some great lines: (e.g. “Who drank all the rum?”, “Bottle of sparkly dirt,” and “I prefer captain.”). So if we’re going to play the game of movie parallels equal plot development then Captain Hook is to Jack Sparrow as Emma Swan is to Elizabeth Swan. And we all know that it never would’ve worked out between Jack and Elizabeth because he was a man of the seas and she loved Will, a humble, yet honest blacksmith who only became a pirate out of necessity (Will in this case is comparable to Neal, a poor, yet honest tradesman who only became a thief out of necessity). So, yeah these movie parallels cut both ways.
I think you all should read this interpretation of one scene from the 308 sneak peek. Sail on, ship mates. Sail on.
Yes, I’m going to keep shipping, even if it’s bumpy seas ahead!
Leap of Faith! From Tumblr:
Here are some pretty Swanfire images. Remember, the symbolism of a firebird, the phoenix, which rises from the ashes to be reborn. I have faith that SF is strong enough to endure any CS stuff that might head our way:

ParticipantBTW-Totally random but can anyone explain to me why I keep getting taken back to the very first page of this thread after any post I make in here? None of the other threads do that to me and it’s starting to bug me. Thanks for the help!
That happens whenever a thread surpasses 100 pages. I may need to start a secondary SF thread…but I don’t want to. I hope this bug can get worked out.
Good point, Phee about the plaid dress. Emma did wear a lot of plaid when she met Neal in 2×6. I didn’t want to put much weight into it when lisa brought it up in the chatroom, but now….it’s giving me hope, however slim…

ParticipantI wouldn’t put much stock into it.
Thanks RG, I’ll try not to. It’s just that CS fans can be so creative/artistic in their images, plus the “As you wish line” from 3×5 just got me down for a moment….but you made a lot of good points, and I’m keeping the hope alive that these clothing decisions aren’t a clue about endgame…just ways to keep the CS fans happy until Emma chooses Neal.

ParticipantI really need a mountain of cookies and hugs. I just saw a side-by-side image
comparing Hook in his black coat and Emma in her red coat to Wesley, the man in black, and Buttercup, who wore a red dress in “The Princess Bride.” I keep telling myself that Hook can’t be Emma’s true love….but I’m worried where the writers are going with this. Are they just playing games to satisfy CS fans only to reveal later Emma will choose Neal? Or are Hook and Emma really Wesley and Buttercup? *sigh*

ParticipantI don’t think they’d loose Neal again. It would be redundant to the point of absurdity.
I hope you’re right…I hope MRJ is spotted on set today or soon!

ParticipantThat’s an interesting idea. But can Rumple call back his shadow? Does he even know where his shadow went?
Yes, very interesting! I wonder if Marylin Manson’s voice is the voice of Rumple’s shadow…not PP’s as I’d been assuming! I’ve no idea how Rumple would call back his shadow, since if he could, he probably would’ve done so in 3×4 when Neal wanted him to do so.

ParticipantThe title spoiler for episode 3×12 gives me hope that this could be our first solo Nealfire backstory episode. I hope I’m right! 🙂
I hope so, too. Yet, after seeing some spoiler images from 3×12 of Hook and Emma in NYC (really downtown Vancouver) without Neal, I’m worried. Adam tweeted “not what you think” as far as the episode title goes. What if Neal has gone missing and Emma and Hook team up to find him, along with Belle and Rumple? I suppose it could still be Neal-centiric in terms of flashbacks of Neal when he was living on his own in NYC, but I’m wondering why Hook and Emma look so close….I fear we may have to put up with CS a bit longer going into the second half of S3.

ParticipantForget the coat for a minute and let’s ponder what in the world the two of them are talking about because neither of them look happy. 😮
I think it’s something involving Neal…possibly he’s gone missing, Emma’s concerned by it, and Hook is helping Emma save Neal…again, this time using the magic potion to try and track him (e.g. like the tracking spell Rumple gave David in S2 to track Jefferson).
