ParticipantRe: Wendy’s bed and cage: Ok, so Wendy has probably been living in the treehouse for most of the time. So was she put into the cage as punishment?
I don’t know if it was punishment as much as it was precaution. Probably, PP didn’t want Wendy escaping and trying to help Henry and/or his family since PP needed her to trick Henry into sacrificing his heart for PP.

ParticipantOkay, I concede. 🙂
Anyway, about the DaddyPan theory, I also got the feeling that Rumple knows exactly who PP is. Rumple said about PP, “Trust me, whatever he’s promised, he will go back on his word.” That implied PP went back on a promise he made to Rumple. This seems like something Malcolm would’ve done to his son, by breaking a promise he made to Rumple. That would again mirror how Rumple broke a deal with his son, Bae. Nasty family habits repeat. “The sins of the father visit up on the son” and all that.

ParticipantI have a good feeling about 308, guys.
Me too! I noticed a parallel between Henry and Nealfire, showing how nobility is something that runs on his dad’s side of the family too. In 3×7, Henry promised Wendy that he’d come back for her, and then he told PP he was willing to make a “sacrifice” for her since he thinks by saving magic, he’ll save Wendy. Wendy also said that Baelfire would do anything for his family, as we saw him sacrifice himself in 2×21 for her brothers. Also in the new sneak peek for 3×8, Neal swears to Wendy he’ll save John and Michael again.

ParticipantThe boys all have the white painted, wrought iron look beds, (none the exact match in design to the NL bed), but Wendy’s is different. Hers in the one that Mrs Darling is standing in front of at the start of that clip, looks like carved wood. Check the scene where Wendy comes back and it sitting down talking to Bae for a better look at it.
Okay, so maybe the bed wasn’t Wendy’s but it could’ve belonged to one of her brothers.

ParticipantI wonder if the bed she was in is her bed from Victorian London.
Nope, it’s not. I checked that the other day when KFC mentioned Bedknobs and Broomsticks in another thread.
I doubled checked too. I noticed in this clip from 2×21 that Wendy has a wide, double-bed with white brass. In the most recent clip from 3×7, the bed was the same width but the color of the bed itself look rusted. Perhaps it is the same bed Wendy had in the Darlings’ nursery, except that after 100 years, the paint has chipped and the brass turned dark from rust.

ParticipantI wonder if we’ll hear more about Wendy’s time in NL both the first trip and the final trip that landed her in a cage. We haven’t seen all the crying boys on NL yet. The Lost Boys we’ve seen are those ones who are devoted to PP and want to be in NL. So where are all the others?
Also, really need to know if Wendy was kept in that cage for a whole century.
I doubt Wendy was kept in the cage the entire time, just since Henry and his family arrived. I think Wendy was mainly living under house arrest in that treehouse we saw her in when Henry found her. I wonder if the bed she was in is her bed from Victorian London. Otherwise, it seems unusual that PP would have such a decorative bed in NL. Maybe that is how the Darling children got to NL….by having their bed enchanted to fly there? I hope we get this back story!

ParticipantI DO NOT LIKE this theory but..is anyone else concerned that the Darlings and Hook have history that might not be…palatable.
Yes, I think it’s fully in the realm of possibilities, as much as I dislike the notion. Hook standing furthest away from Wendy suggests he might not want her to recognize him, for if she did, she might divulge a dark secret about what “dirty work” he did while in PP’s employee. Bombshell moment ensues later on

ParticipantAnother parallel theme beside Roland and the Heart I noticed in this season, we had Swanfire family all take a leap of faith. Emma leaped off the ship, Neal leaped out of castle window onto a shadow, and Henry leaped off a cliff to fly. They all took a leap of faith, because family and home was driving them. We need Swanfire-Family in the yellow beetle!!!
We also have both Emma and Neal both try to take pan on right away to get Henry back.
Emma using Regina with the map & Neal distrust of his father.
They both used the words “Home” Emma mentions Home after seeing the stars and Neal says I got to get my family Home.
SwanfireFamily Feels!!! ^_^
Adding to this, Rumple said to Emma and Neal that they weren’t willing to do whatever it takes to defeat PP, and yet, both Emma and Neal have been making tough choices to get Henry back (e.g. using Roland to hitch a ride on the shadow in 3×3 and Emma telling Regina to take Devin’s heart to get a message to Henry in 3×5). Yet, when faced with killing lost boys, neither Emma nor Neal would cross that line. Emma saw the look of abandonment on a lost boy’s face in 3×2 which stayed her hand from killing him. Also, Neal told Rumple that they don’t kill children in 3×4. So, both parents are trying to get back their son by making difficult choices but not crossing the line of killing children.
Home is such a big thing for them. They were almost home, back in the day. Their time will come!
Yes, and we know the title for 3×11 is “Going Home” not just almost home, but actually going there! *hope for SF*

Participantthat’s a great question. Is Henry himself immortal? And my other question: was Henry born with the heart of the truest believer or did he become that way through his actions. Evil isn’t born, it’s made. The same can be said for good, can’t it?
I think it’s a combination of nature and nuture. PP said that it was not a coincidence that Henry is the product of dark and light magic. So, Henry’s lineage seems to be really important about why Henry’s heart is special, but I think that Henry had to believe in the dark curse for him to become the truest believer.

Participant“Wendy, we will save John and Michael, I swear to God.” His voice wavers a tiny bit, and he sounds so quietly desperate and hopeful, because the Darlings are his family, and he thought they were dead, but now they’re alive, and GAH, just kick me right in the feels why don’t ya, MRJ!!
Neal must’ve been devastated to learn that Wendy, John and Michael were captured by PP after he sacrificed himself to save them. Neal is going to make sure that no harm befalls Wendy or her brothers ever again. He’d do anything for them, just as he would for Henry.
So, if Henry got to keep his heart, would he become immortal? Only if he stayed in NL, I guess? Or is it that Henry’s heart needs to be combined with some sorta Pan magic in order for the immortality to happen?
Good question. I bet Henry would be the next “Pan” if he got to keep his heart and PP died, so long as Henry remained in NL.
