Tamara and Greg are both scientists, and therefore are most likely working for a scientific organization which supplies them with lab equipment. The term “unholy” describes almost a religious devotion to their mission to eradicate magic, but it doesn’t necessarily mean they are part of a religious order. They are probably both driven by a desire to rid this world of magic, which always comes with a high price.

The next two episodes are, in many ways, one prolonged story with both installments focusing on Baelfire’s backstory, and how he could become Peter Pan

I’m holding onto hope that Baelfire could have become Peter Pan at some point. *Crosses fingers*

“Unfortunately for Regina, she’s now strapped to a table and the two people who have it seem hellbent on getting rid of this town,” Eddie says, before revealing, “We are definitely going to see what that black diamond does because you can’t show a bomb and not have it go off.”

Well, I expected SB would vanish when I heard Regina had a self-destruct button. Also, I would be surprised for the fail-safe not to be activated after having been introduced and now having fallen into enemy hands of GOAT.

For sure, there is more to Tamara than meets the eye. Tamara probably grew up resenting dark magic for what it did to her mother. Tamara joined a group of likeminded people, like Greg, who believe the price of magic is too high to pay and so it must be gotten rid of. They may believe they’re even protecting this world from magic.

I think this is spot on, but at the same time I have to wonder if they aren’t tempted toward Dark Magic. We know GOAT kidnap Henry and take him somewhere using one of the beans so they have no problem using magic when it suits their needs. This makes me think that their intentions aren't so “noble” as they want to eradicate “unholy magic”

There can be a disconnect between a person’s beliefs and a person’s actions. Just look at Regina, who is in denial.

Interesting. Jefferson did say that there are an infinite number of worlds, all pressed together in a long line. It does open up at least hinting at other franchises. I don’t think they could do Star Wars (yes, Disney owns it but it rather screams “jumping the shark”), but they could make nods to SW or even other lands that Disney does not own like the world of Harry Potter or Narnia.

Point of interest: Actually, Disney did own the rights to the Narnia franchise at one point. The 2005 film “The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe” was a Disney film, as was the second film “Prince Caspian.” However, due to the second’s film’s lack of money-making potential, Disney sold the rights to Twentieth Century Fox, which then produced the third film “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.”

I still think there is more to Tamara than just “magic hater” she has to hate it for a reason.

Indeed! I can see how it could play into the theory of her being related to Robin and Marian, if something magical that happened in FTL doomed her family somehow.

Yes, that’s what I think happened. Marian looked to be plagued, perhaps by dark magic, but then fairy magic healed her. She and Robin fled to A Land Without Magic to escape whatever dark magic had caused Marian’s illness. Marian gave birth to Tamara. Yet, whatever plagued Marian wouldn’t relent, and so Marian and Robin might have joined a no-magic cause.

So who is at the top of the organization? It has to be someone who’s had a bad experience with magic. Someone who has seen what it can do to people and wants to make sure magic never has a hold here. It also has to be someone who knows how to seek out those affected by magic and bring them in. I still think there is more to Tamara than just “magic hater” she has to hate it for a reason.

But check out the thing with the creepy eyes that she’s all super excited to fly off with. Dunno that I’m willing to trust Wendy’s judgement of what’s exciting, just based on that brief clip. 😆

I keep watching that part of the promo because it freaks me out so much. They’re just so GLOW-Y.

I think the eyes aren’t meant to be sinster, even though they glow. As I mentioned at the start of this thread: I found the trailer for the Disney version of Peter Pan. You can see Peter sorta has glowing “cat eyes” at the 6 second mark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ih-4XE1Ubi8

I’m currently siding with the failsafe having been Regina’s doing, just because it seems that she’s the one who brought over Maleficent, trapped her as a dragon underground, (Rumple said he knew she wouldn’t be able to resist it, suggesting that wasn’t his doing), and made her guard something that was being kept in Snow White’s coffin. If Rumple had a failsafe, he wouldn’t hide it in that way.

I could see Rumple nudging Regina to trigger the fail-safe though, by making her believe it would kill everyone. Yet all the while, it would simply transport everyone home again. If so, then Rumple may have given the ruby to Regina for safekeeping, and she chose to hide it in Snow’s coffin.

What if the self-destruct/fail safe gem doesn’t kill everyone like Regina thinks it will, but sends everyone who isn’t on the JR back to the EF?

Wouldn’t be the first time Regina doesn’t understand the curse, making me think Rumple designed the curse to have have a fail-safe to take everyone back to EF. Regina actually believed him when he told her that killing the savior would break the curse. This led to Henry being poisoned and Emma actually breaking the curse for real so Rumple could go find Baelfire. He might have always planned to find his son and then return to the EF, along with everybody else from SB.

Only watch if you don’t want to spoil the film Finding Neverland based on the life of J.M. Barrie. Here is the scene from the film Finding Neverland. It’s a beautiful film that I highly recommend. Even though Sylvia is dying, she glimpses NL as she would paradise. Also, the scene after it is of Barrie and Sylvia’s son, Peter, talking about Neverland being where Sylvia went after she passes from this world. So, NL could be a place of eternal life or heaven.
