So I find that I’m really confused about this failsafe. What is it, exactly?
Henry compared it to a “self-destruct” button, though I’m not sure yet what could activate it.
Did Rumple write it into the Curse. Did Regina adapt the Curse with this fail safe?
I think it is some clause that was written into the curse by Rumple himself when he created it. He is the master of fine-print. Also, remember, he added a drop of true-love potion so that Emma would be the savior, and I believe he called it a “safety valve.” In this case, I think the “fail-safe” could involve Baelfire perhaps. The curse was designed to find Rumple’s son. Now that’s he’s been found, perhaps SB is no longer required to exist. Now that Regina is aware of Neal’s real identity, she might have been reminded about this “fail-safe” option.

The book was like his talisman. David had the windmill, Lacey had the matchbook, those items snapped something in their brain.
That is a really good way to think about it. Which makes me want to know who gave the Book to Snow, who wrote the book, and how it ended up in SB even more!
Just to be clear, the windmill and the match book are what made David and Belle have false memories, so those aren’t a good basis of comparison. David’s real talisman is the unicorn mobile and Belle’s true talisman is the chipped cup, which if presented to them, would help them recover their true memories, and those items provide a better parallel to what Henry’s storybook did for him. Yet, whereas David and Belle were actually cursed, Henry was not truly cursed in the same way because he was born in our world, not the EF. Though he was under the haze of a curse, having been raised with false beliefs, and he did age. So, his storybook is not a talisman in the purest sense like Belle’s cup, because in Henry’s case, he didn’t need to be “magically” awakened. Rather, the storybook presented him the information he need to start piecing clues together that his mother was indeed the evil queen and this town he was living in was cursed.

Participant55. Be wary of seeking Dr. Whale’s “experimental sciences” since the results would be monstrous.

I think it’s pretty clear now that GOAT & Hook take the magic beans from Regina.
Man, oh man! What if GOAT gets Regina’s spell book, too? Then if Tamara steals Regina’s magical ability, Tamara might even be able to cast spells herself. 😕
I look for Regina to double cross Hook and for Hook to double cross Regina & GOAT before GOAT can double cross him. I think Emma & Neal, along with Rumple and Snow and David will break Regina’s spell on Henry and form an uneasy alliance with Hook to stop Regina and GOAT.
Would Rumple know a counter-spell to restore Henry’s memories? Cora’s spell book might contain spells even Rumple doesn’t know.

Participant50. If you see happen to see a scruffy pirate lurking about, don’t mention crocodiles.
51. Have you been framed for a fake murder recently? Don’t rely on the local police force or justice court to give you a fair trial in front of a jury of your peers. It might just be worth the high price to enlist the questionable services of the town’s sole lawyer."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. 44. Do not to kill rodents or eat fish until all SB residents can be accounted for. You never know whom the Dark One or Cora may have just cursed.

Sneak Peek 1 (EXTENDED):
“The uploader has not made this video available in your country.”
😥It’s an extended version of the scene with Regina and Henry in which she tells him his family will die. Henry calls her a villain.
Henry: What makes you think I would let you get away with any of this?
Regina: Because you won’t remember. Regina then takes out her mother’s spell book and uses magic to make Henry forget. Cuts out.@HappyEndings wrote:
1 ) Question: Why would Regina need Hook?
I don’t think Regina actually needs Hook; I think she’s onto him. He’s out to get her, she suspects he’s up to no good, and so she merely pretends to be his ally. She then double-crosses him.
2) Question: Why would Hook need Regina’s help? ❓
Again, I don’t think Hook actually needs Regina’s help. I think Greg and Tamara put him up to the task of luring Regina into their clutches. So, he concocts some story about being on Regina’s side. They’re playing each other.
