There seems to be a lot of resentment towards Tamara around the blog realm, and we’ve barely met her yet
Yea she looks a little sketchy from the promo, but most of this dislike seemed to form as soon as we knew that she’s Neal’s fiancée 😆Yes, I’ll be the first to admit bias against Tamara, because I like SwanFire (even after initially favoring CaptainSwan). Tamara was always going to be an obstacle, but as Jane Espenson said in a recent interview, “Fiancees are like walls. They can be moved.” Plus, the promo and the pics just really confirm that Tamara is not to be trusted, and a recent spoiler indicates Tamara has an agenda. I think she doesn’t love Baelfire at all, and she’s just been using him to get to SB so she can have magic.

It really must be the most awkward thing for Henry and Emma to sit through a meal with Tamara. Henry is giving Tamara the evil eye and thinking about how she is just a wrench in his dream of wedded bliss for his parents, Emma and Neal. Additionally, I think Emma can usually tell when someone is lying, and I think she has a bad vide about Tamara. Tamara just can’t be trusted. By Emma’s expression, you can tell she doesn’t trust Tamara either.
You just know Emma’s thinking, “Who’s does this Tamara think she is? No way is she going to marry Neal and be step-mom to Henry! Keep smiling.”Plus, Tamara just looks sneaky with her shifty eyes! Here’s a GIF of her from the US promo, and she’s being really suspicious.
Look at the BTS photo; I think Tamara’s totally spying on Neal and August’s private conversation.
That woman is up to no good. I really hope she’s a vindictive fairy who wants to avenge the death of Cinderella’s fairy godmother, whom Rumple killed in 1×4. That'd help to explain why Rumple is so against Baelfire's upcoming marriage to Tamara, and partially why he argues with Bae in 2×20."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. So will MM finally get the truth what the Blue Fairy and August dad did that MM could have went with Emma in the cabinet or is this going to be another pot hole? ❓
I think Snow White plans to cross the town line to forget her guilt when she comes upon August’s trailer in the woods near the border. I hope August will have such a guilty conscience that he confesses everything to Snow White about how he took her place in the wardrobe and how he failed to protect Emma. Snow White also has a such a guilty conscience for her part in Cora’s death, so I think that will allow her to empathize with August and even forgive him his failure. They will then find a sort of comradery and seek to make amends for their shortcomings.

I thought the bubble extended a ways away and we only saw Hook and Cora where it started but it would have affected that entire section of the EF and not send them to SB. After 2×18 airs I’m gonna do my season rewatch to gear up for the finale but I was thinking the bubble stopped that whole section of the EF from being transported to SB which included Mulan, Aurora, etc. Guess we need to find somebody who for sure remembers!
Yes, Cora’s protective barrier spell covered a good sized remanent, but not all, of the EF. It definitely protected the “safe-haven” where the survivors made camp and the Middle Eastern looking palace where Philip and Mulan found a sleeping Aurora. Here’s a really cool fan-made video of the dark curse being cast and it includes clips of Cora’s barrier spell:

Hook and Cora were the only two standing inside that bubble while smoke was all around them, and people were being transported to Storybrooke.
Also: Hook’s crew: Why wouldn’t they have been transported as well? Wouldn’t they have lost their memories and been placed into a different life like everybody else?
On the other hand, we know that Mulan, Aurora, and others were not transported. Why?
I’ve got some missing pieces of info here.
Here is my best guess as to why Smee ended up in SB, and Captain Hook didn’t. I posted it on page 3 of this thread:
I am starting to doubt Captain Hook left his entire crew behind him in Neverland. We know he had his ship in the remanent of the EF, because he used it to sail with Cora to SB. Also, we know Smee ended up in SB. So, the simplest answer in my mind is that Captain Hook and his crew sailed the Jolly Roger to the EF 30 years ago. Smee and the other pirates were affected by the dark curse and transported to SB. Captain Hook and Cora remained behind in the bubble-protected remanent of the EF until they sailed his ship to SB.
Hook’s crew were most likely in the EF when the curse hit, and so they were transported along with almost everyone else to SB , which is why Smee was there. When Cora cast the bubble spell to counteract the dark curse, it only protected a small remanent of the EF, including the small peninsula where the survivors made camp and Aurora’s kingdom, where Prince Philip and Mulan found her. We don’t know why they were spared except that they happened to be in Cora’s bubble, whereas everyone outside of that bubble were not protected and so the dark curse transported them to SB.

Tamara could just be faking ignorance, so as not to alert Neal that she had her own agenda for magic. I still think Tamara knew August before she even met Bae, which is how she knew about SB and the curse. There is another BTS photo of her in a cafe watching August and Baelfire in NYC, so I think she was spying on them. Also, I think it was her voice in the Canadian promo when she said August deserved to turn into wood (presumably for not helping Emma break the curse). Also, it’s gotta be awkward for Neal to have Tamara have lunch with Emma and Henry. Oh, Tamara, take a hint and take a hike, honey!
As for August, this is a flashback to when he meets “The Dragon” in Pukhet, Thailand, and the Dragon knows he’s Pinocchio. It makes me wonder if “The Dragon” is a magic man or a realm jumper."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." ParticipantNeal is so being played by Tamara! She’s just in it for the magic. 😡 Also, I’m pretty sure August and Tamara knew each other before Tamara met Baelfire. Oh, and I think Tamara is “HER” and is playing Greg/Owen too. That girl is no good for Bae, and Papa Rumple and Emma know it!
And yes, I believe Pinocchio started turning into wood right when Emma decided to stay in SB, which is prior to when August came to help her break the curse.

I don’t think Neverland was affected by the curse. On Neal’s wanted poster, they gave him a date of birth of March 21, 1977. I would assume that he showed up 14 years after 1977 thus making it sometime in 1991 at the age of 14. That makes him 35 and missing from Neverland for 21 years.
Fantastic catch with the wanted poster.
Ok, so he left after the curse. Then what prompted him? Blue and the other fairies were already in SB by that point so they didn’t bring him here. Unless Tink has no connection to the EF fairies and she sent Bae to our world herself. Or Bae left NL on his own, to escape? If the Lost Boys are sinister, maybe they overthrew him, wanted a new leader?Yes, nice find, GoldenKey! I think you found the piece of evidence to supports my claim that Captain Hook (and his crew I think) left Neverland before the curse and Baelfire left about midway through the curse. You’re also right in saying Baelfire appears to be closer to age 35 (as MRJ’s age would suggest). We know Emma arrived in SB on Oct. 22, 2011, 28 years to the day when SB was created. It’s now about a year later plus some months, making it 2013 in SB. 2013 -1977 would make Baelfire appear about 36-years-old.

?????? Um, he’s been gone from Neverland for over 28 years now? Perhaps someone, like Felix, stepped up to the plate and played pirate, back in Neverland, while he was gone? Besides, that wouldn’t affect Hook at all, now would it.
Please, let’s not make this another Colin O’Donoghue Doom and Gloom thing.

MRJ is only 35, so yes, I think they wouldn’t age Bae too much for this part.
If it’s true that Bae left in the middle of the curse, let’s say 16 yrs ago to make 14 yr old Bae about 30, then that would mean Neverland wasn’t affected by the curse at temporally (which I think is logical given that Neverland is already frozen in time). But does it mean that NL wasn’t affected in other ways? FTL is pretty ravaged from the curse but the damage could be localized to just that realm.Hmmm, great question. We don’t yet know how the dark curse impacted other worlds besides the EF (except that it created a Brigadoon-like town in a Land without Magic). I don’t think the dark curse had a larger impact on our world besides the inception of SB, so maybe Wonderland, Neverland, Oz, and other lands simply continue to exist unharmed like ours seems to have done. If David hadn’t destroyed Jefferson’s hat, it’d be so easy to answer that question now that magic is in SB, and the characters could travel to far-off lands with relative ease. Hmmm, maybe the hat Emma created in Hat Trick would work now that magic is in SB. 💡 So, maybe Neal and Emma will use that hat to travel to Neverland in search of Henry.
