I think this is the title card for “Welcome to Storybrooke” since it could be Ben and Owen crashing into the newly created town limits.

The fact that he is important because he’s Henry’s father and Rumplestiltskin’s son is the exact reason to have him be Peter Pan.

These are the LOST writers. On LOST, names were extremely important clues.

They gave him the alias Neal Cassady for a reason.
Neal Cassady doesn’t have Lost Boy connections, he has many Peter Pan connections.

The real Neal Cassady was known as the Peter Pan of his generation, not the Lost Boy of his generation.

I agree with this line of thinking, because as Baelfire and Henry’s dad, Neal is already so central to the show. It would be a huge anti-climax for him to be someone as insignificant as a lost boy in Neverland. I believe Bae is going to be as pivotal in that world as he is in SB. Also, Emma wanted her codename to be “pumpkin” in Operation Cobra and lied to Henry that his dad would always order pumpkin pie –as in Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater, which I believe is an indicator of Henry’s dad also be the Peter Pan.

I don’t necessarily see her going dark so much as discovering the Dark Arts and struggling between the power of the Dark (probably for noble purposes) and the rightness of the Light. If we want her to be a fully fledged character, isn’t it important to let her explore (even minimally) all avenues? Is being good simply being born as the incarnate of good or is it seeing and recognizing the power of darkness and choosing the other path? I know this isn’t parallel but even Harry Potter thought about abandoning the search for the Horcruxes and going after the power of the Deathly Hallows because having all of them would make him invincible. (again, I know this isn’t parallel because Harry wasn’t “true love incarnate” but I’m throwing it out there.)

I agree no one is completely good or evil. Even “good” characters can be tempted to do evil, but I think what makes them “good” is that they choose not to give into the temptation, just as HP passed on the chance to be invincible. As a woman with a lot of magical potential, I can certainly see Emma being tempted to use the dark arts, especially in a dire situation, but I don’t think Emma will give into them. Also, if we see a darker Snow, Emma will learn by her mother’s example not to go down that road. Also, as stated above, Emma has already lived a life of thievery and went to jail for it, so I think she’s probably learned an invaluable lesson while still young: bad choices mean bad consequences. Also, Emma now has Henry to think of, and she knows what Regina’s dark magic did to poor Henry; it nearly cost him his life. Plus, I think Emma is the hero of our tale, and I see her being a major force for good as the story continues.

I believe this is going to be a Regina-centered episode (not really a surprise, given the title):

Yes, it excites me, too! Here’s further confirmation that we’ll see Hook in SB by the finale. 🙂

Emma is, and always will be, a force for good, since she is true love incarnate. I don’t see her going dark. I do, however, see a darker Snow on the horizon, with Emma and Prince Charming trying to figure out how to bring her back towards the side of good.

Perhaps something happens to Bae and he’s rushed to hospital. We know something happens between Rumple and Bae which is a game changer. We know Bae isn’t a regular but a recurring with option for season 3. What if Bae dies? Belle will probably get her memories back by the end of Lacey, and because Rumbelle aren’t allowed to be happy for too long, perhaps Bae’s death sends Rumple careening back to the dark side.

Bae’s going to find out about Milah, he has to because Hook can’t keep his mouth shut. I reckon Rumple and Bae will be on speaking terms, Belle will get her memory back, and just as it looks like Rumple’s going to get some happiness with his son and Belle back in his life, along comes Hook to ruin it all. Once Hook reveals the truth about Milah, Bae is going to reject Rumple then something happens to Bae and he either dies or ends up in a coma that he’ll never wake from.

Bae’s death would then have far reaching repercussions.

Rumple- Bae’s death could set up Rumple as the villain of season 3. Knowing that his son died hating him, Rumple would fall off the redemption wagon big time and revert back to his evil ways. Whereas everything Rumple did back in Fairytale land was to find his son, without his son, Rumple is lost. Instead of being motivated by vengeance (Regina) or power (Cora) Rumple is motivated by grief. We know Rumple is addicted to magic. With Bae and Belle in his life, he will probably try and go clean, but with Bae’s death, Rumple will relapse and become worse than ever. Belle will stand by him, but it’ll be an interesting obstacle in their relationship as Belle tries to pull Rumple from his descent into self destruction. We know Henry is meant to be Rumple’s “undoing”, what if because Henry is Rumple’s last link to Bae, it is Henry that pulls Rumple from his destructive cycle and prevents him from going through with whatever evil plan he had going.

Henry- Bae’s death could lead to Henry starting to pull away from Emma. He may feel that, because Emma lied to him about his father being dead, she prevented Henry from having as much time with his dad as he could have had. He could even blame Emma for Bae’s death by telling her that she wished Bae dead (because of her lie about Henry’s father being dead). Henry’s growing up so he’s not going to tell Emma everything like he currently does. He’s no longer going to be that optimistic little kid Emma first met in season 1 and that is going to worry Emma. Henry’s going to be darker, angrier, and probably going to start dabbling in magic. It’ll be harmless magic at first, but as the seasons progress and Henry gets older, the magic is going to start getting darker.

Emma- Emma still has feeling for Bae but she is still too closed off and emotionally guarded to allow anyone to get close to her again. She won’t tell Bae how she feels because she worries that if she opens herself up to him again, he’ll only hurt her again. Bae’s death would come as a shock to Emma because it would be sudden and unexpected and she’ll never get the chance again to tell him how she feels. His death would make her realise that if she keeps her emotional walls up all the time, she’s never going to be happy, and that she’ll be alone forever. Season 3 would be the perfect time to introduce a love interest for Emma that will eventually be end game (Not Hook).

At the moment we all assume that Rumple and Bae will eventually reunite properly, that SwanFire will be end game etc, but Bae’s death would be a real curveball for the audience as they wouldn’t expect it.

I don’t even want to utter the possibility of Bae’s death, and the reason I don’t think it’ll happen is because we’ve yet to see young Peter Pan in Neverland. I’m not sure if we’ll see him in the last two episodes, given the titles, but I think we won’t meet him until season 3, according to the producers. If Bae is Peter, then I think we must hear Bae tell his version of his own tale. Plus, Baelfire’s death is just too tragic! In my opinion, he has to live because he is Henry’s and Emma’s chance for a happy family ending, and this show is all about hope. I think Bae is Emma’s endgame and her true love.

I’m hopeful we’ll get more of Hook’s backstory by season 2’s end. In an interview at Paley Fest, Colin O’Donoghue revealed that he’s already filmed scenes in Neverland. Also here’s another tweet from Adam which makes me more hopeful Hook’s story is already in the works:

I’d like to see a WhaleWolf pairing by the season’s end. 😉

Regina and Killian may both be “emotionally damaged” from losing people they loved, but then again, so are Baelfire and Emma scarred from feelings of abandonment.

Emma and Bae didn’t use the experience of having lost their love to fuel a violent vengeance plot though. Regina and Hook went hardcore with the hate and wanting to kill the person they deemed responsible for their suffering, and they’ve held onto that hate with an iron grip for decades/centuries. I think each of them needs someone strong, kind, and sane to support them in moving forward.

I agree that the situation between Emma and Bae isn’t an exact parallel for Regina and Killian, since as stated, Bae and Emma never took out their pain on innocent people. Plus, two wrongs don’t make a right. However, with Hook and Regina, I think if each has an individual redemptive arch, there could be light at the end of the tunnel for them to eventually get together. I think each has his and her own baggage to sort through first, but this is a story about hope, and so I’m hopeful they will find their HEA (happily ever after), whether or not it’s with each other. Yet, I think that could be a plausible outcome. I’m not sure I’d want them to partner with other “nice” people, since we already have that story being told through Rumple and Belle. I think it’d be more more interesting to watch two former “villains” become one happy unit.
