ParticipantHitfix – Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis (Paleyfest) Talk about Information Containment and Spinoff Series

ParticipantIt was in the first part of season two in the remanent of the EF that survived the curse. Cora had her own traveling heart vault in Into the Deep, which she used to create a legion of zombies by controlling their hearts. Cora may have kept her own heart in this vault, which I believe she may have brought with her on the journey to SB. It could have been on Hook’s ship, from which Cora wanted to retrieve her important items (such as her own heart) in Tiny. Maybe Cora then added her heart to the family mausoleum thinking Regina was now her ally.

ParticipantI don’t know. Snow White said in this episode that Regina’s family mausoleum was “untouched” (which isn’t technically true since Regina’s father is probably buried there, as was Daniel’s body). Yet, it could just have been a foreshadowing that Cora’s body would soon rest there, too. Whether Cora’s heart is in Regina’s heart vault or somewhere else remains to be foreseen. I don’t believe Cora would have left her heart with Regina in the EF, since Regina wanted her mother dead when she sent Captain Hook to assassinate the Queen of Hearts. Prior to traveling with Hook back to the EF, I don’t believe Cora had been out of Wonderland since Regina pushed her through the mirror. Plus, Cora told Hook prior to then she didn’t have her heart in her. In the first part of season two, we saw Cora did have her own traveling heart vault in the remanent of the EF, which I believe she may have brought with her on the journey to SB. It could have been on Hook’s ship, from which Cora wanted to retrieve her important items (such as her own heart). Maybe she then added her heart to the family mausoleum thinking Regina was now her ally.

ParticipantThe sooner we see the season finale, the longer we have to wait for the next season to start. This way the actors can have their break, while we wait for the last few episodes, which means we won’t be waiting as long for the actors to resume filming for next season. So, though it’s kind of annoying right now, I don’t mind ABC spacing out the episodes over a few weeks more. Otherwise, the season would be done by April and we’d have to wait until Sept. for the next new episode.

ParticipantYes, Emma made a mistake, and she apologized for it. She probably felt like she didn’t have a leg to stand on in that moment. I certainly wouldn’t feel like a good mother if my son caught me in a blatant huge lie. If anything, I’d expect for my child to be angry at me. Also, Neal may not know yet how to handle the situation correctly having only been a father for all of a day. Plus, let’s face it, Neal is angry at himself for leaving Emma alone to take the fall and never even knowing about his son. He probably swore he’d never leave his son like his father did him, and here he’s been absent for all of Henry’s life. He doesn’t want to add to his list of grievances in his son’s mind after just discovering he is a dad. Also, Rumple certainly isn’t one to point the finger, since he is the one ultimatley responsible for the curse. (Though arguably, if it weren’t for Rumple creating he curse, Neal and Emma never would’ve met and Henry never would have been born, but I digress). Someone should have corrected him, but none of the adults present were really in a good position to do it then right then and there. Plus, Henry’s old enough not to be lectured like a small child who throws a tantrum.
I think Henry’s disrespect is born out of anger and also emerging hormones. He’s not just a “kid” anymore. He’s a pre-teen on the cusp of adolescence. He’s bound to be a bit moody. Plus, if I were in his shoes, I’d be mad as heck, too. Does he need to be corrected at some point? Yes. At this very moment? Give the kid some room to cool down first, and then let Neal talk to him, man to man, so as not to make Henry feel babied and humiliated in front of Mom. Henry needs to learn from his father and forgive him for leaving Emma, and then learn to forgive Emma when he hears what really happened to her.
As for a hero, I think having Neal be Peter Pan would be pretty epic for Henry. The kid already thinks it’s amazing his dad is also from the Enchanted Forest. Just wait until he realizes his dad can fly!

Yeah that could be too. Except that maybe when Henry married Cora, Eva wanted nothing more to do with her brother. Maybe she was so angry he took Cora for his wife that she never helped him or allowed Leopold to meet her brother or sister-in-law.
This is totally possible. I think it’s one or the other for sure. Cora did seem to have a particular hatred for Eva, beyond just “you’re Queen and I’m not.” Perhaps after Henry and Cora lose the kingdom, she and Henry expect Eva to come to their rescue, but Eva flatly denies to help, once again saying that Cora isn’t worthy of her help because she’s the Miller’s Daughter. (except does that really fit with how they portrayed Evan in The Queen is Dead, all subjects should be loved…?)
It would certainly be out of character for the version of the mature and compassionate Queen Eva we met. However, she may have once been nasty, spoiled, vain, and thought herself higher-born than everyone else. Something must have happened to Eva between The Miller’s Daughter and The Queen is Dead to transform her from a young spoiled princess into a mature, wise queen we met. Yet, perhaps Eva never reconciled with her brother because Cora didn’t allow it. I can imagine how controlling, manipulative and domineering Cora probably was to her husband, Henry Sr. He was afraid to confront his own wife to save his daughter in 1×18. By then she was a wicked sorceress who could have killed him and Regina if she was having an off day.

1) That red dress is awesome.
2) With regards to Eva: being Henry’s sister makes sense, except when Henry loses his throne, Eva doesn’t step in to help, and her husband, Leopold, doesn’t seem to recognize Henry or Cora. Which I think is problematic. I think Eva might Henry’s intended bride, until Cora steps in (and I think there’s a history with Cora and Eva)
3) If he’s teaching her magic before the ball happens, then how does she summon him? Or does he seek her out? Does he prompt her to want to marry the Prince (thus manipulating Cora and this situation in order to get Regina), or does she somehow get Rumple to her and make the deal.GAH.

ParticipantHere’re some more BTS photos from this episode of Cora attending a royal masquerade ball at King Xavier’s court. It also appears like Princess Eva and Prince Henry are in attendance. http://storybrooke.net/photos/thumbnails.php?album=310
Young Cora meets Prince Henry
Cora meets the king
Princess Eva stands beside the king’s throne, which makes me think she is the daughter of King Xavier and sister of Prince Henry.
After Cora boasts of her ability to spin straw into gold, the king remarks that if true, she may marry her son.
Princess Eva stands by, looking amused by the notion that a prince could ever marry a commoner.
Cora attempts to spin straw into gold.
Seeing as Cora successfully spins straw into gold, I think she must’ve made a deal with Rumple before she attended the ball. He must’ve been teaching her magic already."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

If “Owen” is Greg, then I have to wonder: is it a coincidence that he found himself back in SB again? Probably not. If he wasn’t an original inhabitant, but somehow became aware of SB as a kid, he may have been trying to find his way back there. I wonder if “HER” knows anything about SB prior to Greg sending her the video of Regina.
I agree that Greg has intentionally returned to SB, because he was there as a boy. Also, if I had to guess, HER is someone significant, and I don’t just mean Greg’s significant other. She could be someone mythical herself, from another land like Oz, and she sent Greg to learn more about the magic Greg recalled seeing from childhood. That way the theory about Greg being adult Owen, the boy who inspired Regina to adopt Henry, could still be reconciled with the idea of Greg being the wizard of Oz, who is from our world.

I wonder if Cora will remind him of Milah. I think Cora is very smart and knows how to read people. I bet she manages to figure out how lonely Rumple is and how sad, and uses that to her advantage. (Have I mentioned how much she needs to die?)
Yes, this woman needs to make her last curtain call, if you catch my drift. While Rumple has caused a lot of heartache, Cora is almost an unstoppable force who needs to go down. Cora, the next dark one? I don’t think so! Plus, despite all the crap Rumple has caused, he is still redeemable in my opinion. An idea just occurred to me. Perhaps Rumple taking Regina and making her his pawn wasn’t just so he’d have someone cast the dark curse; it was also payback for Cora breaking his heart. 💡
